I tapped that wire in up in the a-pillar to a light green wire that runs up to the rear view mirror for the auto dim feature. I dont exactly know why it gets +12v when its in reverse but I tested it with a miltimeter and it does, and it work fine...

Thats a bullshit quote to program a remote, it takes like 10 minutes at the most to do with a tech 2. I usually charge like 30 minutes to do it. That means they were gonna charge you like 1.8 hours to do it, WTF??? That place is a ripoff

I tried to download it but my computer sucks so it wont download anything. I got it working though I just had to go into the system options and turn the camera setting to on. Im a retard

I already posted this on avic411.com, but theres not much traffic on that site... I wired up my backup camera today, finally, and it doesnt work. I cant find my installation manual for my D3 so that probably has a lot to do with it. Heres what I did: camera is mounted on the back bumper, power to camera is hooked up to the 12v wire thats hot when backup lights are on (so it gets power only when im in reverse), camera is grounded to frame, video cable is ran up to the unit and plugged into "rear camera input", and the purple wire for +12v reverse gear signal is hooked up to a wire that I know gets 12v when I put it in reverse. I tested everything and I dont know why it isnt working. I know the camera works cause I hooked it up to a 12v battery and plugged the video into the TV in my living room... Am I supposed to have power going to the camera at all times with ignition on? Is there another wire coming out of the unit I need to hook up? It doesnt switch to rear camera view when I put it in reverse, and I cant go to "rear view" mode in the menu in nav mode- What the hell is going on???

damn that was awesome, I got up to 150 in my old civic racing once in atlanta. We passed some cops that had someone pulled over on the side of the interstate so I got off at the next exit and parked behind a hotel for a while. Felt like my heart was about to explode

I have 10 or 15 all around (dont know for sure), with 35% on the windshield and its plenty dark enough for me. You cant see in unless the sun is behind me. Heres a pic you can kinda tell how dark it is. If you were to get 5 all around and 35 on the windshield it would be very dark-- I wanted 5 all around but it was tinted like this when I bought it and its ok with me.

I got my taillights and 3rd brake light back from Jon @ jonstintedtails.com They look absolutely flawless, its my favorite appearance mod so far, they completed the look of my truck perfectly. I got them done extra dark, they match the paint perfectly and you can still see light through. I had a cop behind me the other day and I didnt get pulled over either!!! I would reccomend him for any tinting job you have

If I were to sand them down smooth so there is no texture anymore then could I prime them and paint them with a smooth finish?

Do you have a system installed. I was riding inmy friends car once and it just completely shut off and it turned out that the power wire from the battery hit metal and grounded itself out.

If im not busy I might be able to make it. It just sucks to drive cause I wont be able to drink a lot

I wouldnt do it with it lowered. I had the firestone sport rite kit on mine (it was there when I bought it), and it bottomed out all the time cause of the bags, its hard to explain but when the frame is so close to the alxe where the brackets mount its like they are completely smashed down all the time. Oh yeah this was after I lowered it 4" in the back, it was fine when it was stock height. Maybe you can custom mount the upper brackets so they arent so low but I dont really remember cause its been a while. I sold my whole kit with the compressor on ebay for like $250 or something so look around for a deal if you decide to get em. I might have some pics still Ill look when I get home

yeah fix a flat ruins the tire pressure sensors. And if youre a tire guy you hate that shit cause it smells like ass, you have to clean it out then got all the water out of the tire and if you get it in your eyes you go blind Ive heard so I hate that crap. Just cause youre a girl doesnt mean its impossible for you to change a tire ya know, but if you can get a guy to come do then good for you
