  1. It sucks, I guess I won't be enjoying my day off.
  2. I'll take one, as long as it's still free.99.
  3. Well isn't that just great! My truck is doing something similar now too! When I go slow like in a parking lot or a drive through I can hear a noise from my driver's side. It goes CREAK space CREAK space CREAK space. Brake pads are good, almost new. IT only does it when I am off the gas. I don't know what to do! I know I can not afford to replace a front diff, that's for sure. I changed all fluids last week. The front diff had lots of shavings on the plug, like maybe a little less than 1/2 a tablespoon and the fluid was milky white. I seriously am thinking about dumping this truck for something thats not going to be a money pit. Anyone else had this problem and what was the cause?
  4. You are in my prayers. I cannot imagine what you are going through. God Speed my brother, we are all here for you.
  5. Well, today I changed my oil from Castrol Syntek to Mobile 1 "0w-40" and the stock pf-46 delco filter. Before with the castrol my oil pressure would not move much even at WOT. Tonight as I was driving home after a fresh fluid change and once she warmed up I got on it and PEGGED the oil pressure guage! I'm sold.
  6. And as far as the 0 weight mobile 1, All I found was O-40 so I'm going to try it and see how it goes. I kinda feel funny using it because it says "european" cars on the bottle LOL
  7. OOOOOO-kay. Firstly, THANK YOU for taking the time to write a small novel in response to my lame questions. Air cleaner was just cleaned and reoiled last week. Going to hit the suspension with lube. (and get an alignment) Any reason you are going away from the Autotrak fluid? Haven't seen the 0 weight Mobile one before. I'll look into that. I also was NOT able to locate the mobile 1 gear oil in anything other than 75-90. Seafoam will never go near my engine. I've read horror stories with regards to it.
  8. Problem is that I am affraid that pressure flushing the trans will push "junk" around in the trans and mess it up.
  9. What is required to do the front dif? What type of lube and how much? As far as the tranny, what fluid is best for a pan drop, can I use a 4l60e filter? I cannot find a 65e filter. Secondly, Do the midpipes need to be removed to get the pan down, and finally is it safe to do this on a trans with 82K assuming the fluid was never changed? Trans works fine right now. And also, is the blue tube of posi lube necessary for our rears?
  10. People generally ask what part do I buy etc etc. I will making a running picture list of fluids, etc I used to help people later on. I'm going to do the rear end fluids and cover gasket. I bought this. Transfer case will also have it's fluids changed and upgraded to autotrak 2. Mobile one synthetic fluid for the engine (6 quarts not pictured) and a pf46 filter. Can't forget the fuel filter (it's always neglected) Plugs Wires I'm not sure as of right now what to use in the trans and front diff. Yenko
  11. Got a link to that truck? I might be able to go check it out for you.
  12. I just did one as well. CHEVROLET: 2003 SILVERADO 1. Close all vehicle doors. 2. Insert the key into the ignition. 3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel-continue to hold down until instructed to release in step 9. 4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession. 5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine). 6. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. 8. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically. 10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until the door locks and unlocks. This step may take up to 30 seconds. 11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters). 12. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode.
  13. Well I talked to the adjuster and she said I am not covered b/c it was an intentional act. I guess I could call their main office and ask. I'm going in the morning to file the police report and get the ball rolling.
  14. If you are in lexington, you can come look at mine.
  15. My truck threw that code, then a misfire code. It was plugged up solid! I cut the pipe directly behind the cat and then ran the truck. I glowed orange so I busted out the guts of the cat and it ran like a scalded cat!
  16. I called my insurance agant (long time family friend) and he is going to look into it for me.
  17. Yeah, I'm actually kind of scared that I'm gonna get screwed. I talked to the insurance company today and was told that they probably will not cover it due to it being an intentional act. I really was hoping I wouldn't have to get legal on him.
  18. That radiator cover rocks! Where do you get them and what do they cost?
  19. That is such a sexy tip... TTT for ya.
  20. How much for the XM antennae Mast, the cig lighter, stock radio antennae mast, the cover for the key hole on the back bumper next to the license plate and owners manual (mine is trashed), and exhaust (stock, or something nice that isn't flowmasters LOL)? Shipped to 40514.
