  1. Sorry I didn't get back to the site before the show to answer your question. If you stillwant to see it there is a way to download it on iTunes. I found it on the "horsepowertv.com", but you can probaby find it on iTunes as well. Recap: Stock LQ4 out of a'05 GMC 2500 series truck Rebuilt(freshened) and installed a Sprectre intake, electric water pump, CAI, long tube headers, and a custom tune. 386HP/396trq. Installed SLP 1.85 rocker arms, new Comp Cams "beehive" valve springs, and new cam(240 Intake 224 exhaust 112 seperation) for 411HP/Torque not stated(looked like 390). They did say the torque dropped off which is a normal trade off for horsepower.
  2. Where did you get them? Part #'s? I looked on Russel's website and they only showed apps for cars.
  3. Try these guys: http://stores.ebay.com/Trails-End-Auto-Salvage I bought a part for wife's trailblazer. It showed up boken(they didn't notice) I called and they went and found another one and I had it next day.
  4. Where's your center console? What are trying to do?
  5. I meant Russell. I was looking at Earl's stainless brake lines at the same time and got em mixed up. I need to supply part #s to my wife as my B-Day is on March 22nd. Those are #'s I was looking for. Nice find! I tried searching, but didn't feel like sorting through 50 topics with 10 posts each. Thanks!
  6. Look to the bottom for mod updates! This weekend March 21-22 Spike is replaying the LS rebuild episode part 2. They dyno the motor after refreshing it. They also try a new cam and lifters to see what power it develops.
  7. I couldn't remember if they intersected. No need to hit 294. The restaurant is at the exit of 355 and Butterfield.
  8. What's your point? Most of them are blinding me. I've seen 4popper's lights. They aren't that bad.
  9. It's actually 80 to 55 to 355 I believe. What are you avoiding? Do you have a date in mind or just feeling it out?
  10. Having the track open would be the primary reason for me to come out. A little later in summer would be nicer as it will give me more time to get the money for any parts I may want to install before track teasting. I'm sure there are other guys who get laid off during winter months or have seasonal jobs like myself. But by no means base your decision just on me(I'm not even sure I will make the 5hr. drive).
  11. I might be able to scoot out there. I'm guessing you won't have to tack any exhausts on to hear them. If you get enough guys out there there's bound to be one of every muffler on someone's truck. If anyone wants to do headers, try loosening each of your exhaust bolts a couple rounds and retightening them one at a time a week before you make the trip. At least there won't be any time consuming surprises.
  12. Just get a set of HID's. Find "fast4popper" in the member section. He gets some awsome kits at incredible prices and I believe they include both the upper and lower lights, and yes thhey will stay on if you have the high beam relay installed.
  13. I just hosed mine down last weekend to get the dust and salt off. I'm sure a mild detergent(ie dish soap or car wash soap) would be just fine. You don't have to worry about getting the dist. cap wet like the old days. Just put a plastic bag over your air filter if it's exposed.
  14. Luckily my buddy is the service manager and ex-mechanic at the dealer. He takes care of my truck.
  15. Alright, I might be an idiot, but what is "FTW"? I asked my teenage nephew and he didn't know either.
  16. You're not alone. The Ford dealer was the only one with a used sss in stock within 80miles. They just paid over$4k to fix my front gears/pinion bearing and a trans pump leak. Scott, I can't believe you've never had warranty issue. That's gotta be a record for an SSS.
  17. Anyone know the part # for Earl's speed bleeders?
  18. I just switched to Royal Purple. No news yet.
  19. What am I missing? You said you're required to have a front plate correct? Doesn't that mean you have to have an actual license plate on there? In IL we're required to display our plate on the front of the vehicle. I stick mine in the front window since I don't have a holder, and so far haven't been messed with.
  20. If you are doing a full air ride system then at least get them to tuck. Don't have them as a neg offset. You should be able to find a nice set of 20's or 22's with enough tire that the pot holes won't be a problem. If you don't want chrome then go with a nice gun metal grey or painted black wheel. Neg offset looks too 90's. It's fine if u're cruzin in your Nissan playin' Eazy-e, but this is a new era. SSS's are supposed to be sporty/racy looking, not ghetto.
  21. Next Saturday and Sunday Spike TV is replaying the junkyard LS rebuild episode.
  22. I'm thinking of painting the grills black, but also wanted to see if anybody had tried to match them to the silver color of the wheels. I've seen the black grills on blue trucks(mine is blue), but haven't seen silver on anything.
  23. I'm on boxer number 2 and 3. Great dogs, not too big, not too small. They don't shed alot because of the shorter hair. They are AWESOME with kids. They actually know how to tone down their activity level if the kids try to wrestle with them as opposed to me wresteling with them. Watch out with the smaller dogs. My wife had a Lhasa apso when I met her, and I found out on small dogs you have to take them in and have their anal glands expressed about once a month. YUM!
