LED valve stem caps.

Turbine engine!

Propellers?

I don't know enough to give an answer. But maybe it has to do with the transfer case changing the amount of power ratio to the front and rear tires.

Possible melted harness. Make sure none are laying on the headers.

Junkyard is your fastest/cheapest bet.
I had my local stereo shop put in a magnetic sensor that is wired into my stock alarm system.
When you drop the tailgate the horn sounds.

for the winter i put on 17" aluminum avalanche wheels with cooper snow tires. there is no comparison with snows. truck wont even spin the tires unless you are really on the gas!
That's not right. Sounds like you need more power.
I have Kumho STX and I'm not impressed with them in the snow. I don't think I want to toss out a grand for tires until theses are shot though.

Are there any GM mechanics out there that know if there is another box that is the same shape but has a different ratio? Would you have to change the steering rack?

I got an email from this site and thought I'd share a couple finds. Granted they're not cheap, but you can decide for yourself.

Did you actually beat that Stang? Even after he got the holeshot?
It looks like he either red lighted or blew the start after he got the holeshot. Looks like he let off for some reason then got back in it. Either way he has a head start on you and it looks like you overtook him.

I hate how loose the steering is on my truck. I love my wife's G8 steering. Anyone know if I can replace my steering box with one from a G8 or some other vehicle?

On a side note....... My tips are behind my rear tire. It's a pain in the butt to keep them clean cuz everything sprays right on them.

I've got an electric cut out on mine. I love it. They sell them through Summit. I have a single cutout on my Corsa sport exhaust system. It's located just before the muffler. You can make it as quiet or as loud as you want. I turn it off when I come home late so I don't wake the wife and kids, or when I want to hear the person next to me , radio, or on the highway to get rid of the drone.

Thanx alot! That's the kinda reasoning I was looking for.

You'll be fine. I'm up on the WI/IL border and I have directional sport tires and haven't had a problem. If you're feeling "loose", throw some sand bags in the back. Don't bother buying new tires for one year. The way the weather is around here you may only see snow 2-3 times(or 20 times) hard to say.

It sounds like you had a push. Put a round of wedge in the rear and take a 1/2 pound out of the right front.
I was going straight when it broke traction. I'm actually looking for the technical reason. I'm a boat mechanic, so I'm always interested in knowing how things work.Any GM mechanics out there? I would completely understand this happening if the front end was the primary drive and the rear turned slower. This is not the case.(from what I know)
Picture 2 gears. 1 big(front),1 small(rear)turning together. If the small one is turning 1000rpm and the big is at 650rpm, how can the big one exceed the rpm's of the little one? Regardless of how much wieght you put on it.

You can rent a picker at most rental places. Probably $25 or so. Rent it once to remove and once to reinstall.
Know anyone with a bobcat? Minin forklift?
-
Don't let them scare you. It's not that hard. Once you get it, you don't have to retake the driving part unless you have a bunch of violations. Here in IL you only have to retake the written if you're picked in a "lottery". The last time I renewed I had to take an eye test. Big F'n deal.
No they can't fire you, but they can find a reason to no longer "need" you.

I got my CDL A with air brakes and combos without ever taking a class. A buddy of mine took me out in his truck and taught me to drive in a day. After that I worked on backing up for about a week(on the job)with himin the truck and took the test. If you don't have to do trailers it's even easier.
I have gotten out of more tickets since I got my CDL. The cops have pulled me over and seen my license. They'll check my record and give me a warning instead of a ticket. They have also givin me a signature bond instead of taking my license when they did ticket me.
As far as the dui, if the diff between .04 and .08 is 1 drink, chances are you're over the limit anyway when you leave the restaurant after 2 drinks. If the cop is gonna be that strict, you have a problem either way. Just be more careful and have someone else drive if you're not sure.
In this economy it's always better to have extra credentials on you resume. Take the chance while you have it to use their truck and get it. I don't use my CDL anymore, but I know I could go get a job in a heartbeat as a driver.

That's great. I'm trying to find the time to install my new speakers and this will save me some time trying to figure out how the thing is held on.
-
I wasn't really worried. Just trying to educate myself. After it happened I spent a 1/2 hour tryin to figure it out in my head. The physics don't make sense to me.
-
But why would the front end spin the tires and not the rear? From what I know, the differential has a 62/38 split(or something close to that). So if the front spins roughly 1/3 slower then the rear, how can they loose traction and spin if the rears aren't?

It was raining the other day and I was driving my awd sss. I had my work supplies in the bed(700-1000 pounds). I was doing about 25-30mph coming down the off ramp. When I stood on it I felt the front end loose traction. The rear didn't seem to loose traction at all. From what I understand, the rear turns faster and the front should only break loose if the rear does first. Am I missing something? I've had the front end get loose before in the rain/snow, but it was after the rear broke free.
Trying To Hang Upside Down.

I agree that you should see a chiropractor first. But if still want to hang. Go get yourself a chin up bar from the sports store. They expand in your door jam. In addition, most have "pucks" that you can screw to the door jam for added safety. (You don't want to fall on your head.) Just mount it low enough that you can hook your knees over it. The bar just unscrews like a curtain rod so you can remove it when you're done.
