My last trip I averaged 17.7 us mpg not exceeding 65mph. Usually in the winter I have been getting 600+ kms per tank. This past summer I got over 700kms very regularly. AEM CAI, flowmaster exhaust, and zippy tune. This is all while running 87 octane.

I had/have a problem this past summer with my A/C. I replaced the motor and resistor. My A/C would not turn off ever. After 10 mins of driving I could not even get ANY air out of it. The condensor gets covered with literally 2 inches of ice on the lines. I guess my heater core must get plugged and restrict airflow? I fixed it by removing my a/c belt. I know it is like nothing really related to your issue besides airflow. I will have actually FIX it this summer when it warms up again.

I have them on my truck as well. Bought the truck and opted for these tires as they were the cheapest I could find, kinda short on money after buying the truck. I like them, never tested on snow yet, its weird Nov.17th and no snow in the Great White North yet! (atleast not where I'm at)

Awesome! now I'm not as scared to try and accomplish this soon. I never thought of looking on youtube to find something. Is it that easy when the tranny in the truck?

its a brand new blower motor, the fan will keep going, it doesn't stop. You can hear it spinning but no air is getting pushed out the vents. The white smoke does not smell, atleast I can't smell it. It has auto climate control, its the digital one. My mechanic brother said it could be those doors as well. Those aren't to easily fixable are they?

Well my truck a/c never worked when I bought it. Took it to the dealer and they had to rewire it. Worked fine. But only for 10-15 mins. The heater fan sounded rough so I replaced it. So now with the a/c on or not after 10 mins it will quit blowing air. The fan is running you can hear it pushing air but nothing comes out of the vents. Sometimes a very very small amount of air will come out and a bit of white smoke out the middle vent on the passenger side. What is this? Could my a/c be freezing up and blocking the airflow? But it does it with a/c off? I have a new resistor in the box but I don't want to open it cause I can't return it then. Could my resistor be gone? Or are the vents inside just shutting by themselves? Any ideas?

When I pull the key out of my truck the seat goes forward to. It will go back if I move the switch manually. But it no longer goes back when I pull the key out, my mom got stuck in it one time haha. I have no turned off the easy exit seat feature.

I feel the same. I bought it and know nothing. Got my mileage a little better ~1mpg lol, tested out to make sure it does over 200km/hr after I adjusted governor, and raised my shift points. Its way faster after doing that. I also think I made my shift occur quicker and it seems like they do. Thats all I now how to do. I feel I should probably sell it and just get a mail order tune instead. That way there will be some more improvements.

I wish my rpms were lower! 2200rpm at 65mph. But i get 21mpg imperial on my best trip. So is that like 16.5-17 us mpg?

Ya I saw that. Only thing it says they won't ship to Canada. Anyone want to help a guy out? lol. I have a few things I want from there, just need it shipped to someone with a U.S. address then have them ship it to me in Canada.

Last week I was driving to work and there was a raven that flew into my bumper. It peeled the passenger side air duct off. It was hanging on by 1 screw and busted 2 off. I called GM and they said its $260 for just the passenger side. Does anyone have one lying around they could sell? What do the dealers in the states charge for these? In Canada we kinda get screwed on anything we order. Just wondering if this is another huge markup?

I bought a set off ebay. They were $49.95 for the ones that look stock and $59.95 for ones with checkered flags in the center. The ones I got fit WAY tighter than the stock ones. I've been reading hptuner forums and the lean cruise won't work on my truck anyway cause it was from the states. They said you need a PCM out of a 04 GTO or something to have lean cruise work? Anyone know if its doable with my ss? Or do I have to jsut adjust the AFR?

I got HP tuners and have been playing around with it. I turned on lean cruise mode from 55mph to 80mph. Now what percentage am I safe to cut it back? 10%? 20%? My AFR was set at 14.68 at all percentage of throttle input. Also my high octane fuel table and my low octane fuel tables are exactly the same. I imagine the high octane should have a higher timing than the low. Anyone have the stock high and low octane tables in hptuners for a 2003 silverado ss?

so far i've been getting up to 18 us mpg running 87 octane on my stock truck. my 87 octane is free so paying $1.40 per litre for premium is $1.40 per litre more than I need to spend. My parents live on a farm and when I come home on weekends if I help on the farm I fill my tank up. All summer I will not have access to good premium (small town), just stuff that has been sitting for 2-3 months. Nobody buys it up here. I won't have access to good premium until fall when I go back to university (city) for another year.

Well after thinking about a mail order tune, had one ordered then cancelled. I ordered hp tuners instead. I hope I can tune it myself with the help of you guys. Hope to get it wednesday or friday. I will be tuning my stock ss for 87 octane fuel, I hope that is possible, and also gonna try improve fuel mileage. Anyway I am very excited to learn how to use HP tuners and try make my truck a little more economical and maybe increase my power slightly.

125,00 kms. Dunno what that is in miles like 77,000 miles or so? Bought it just 3,000miles ago. Runs awesome.

Do we have to worry about pinion angle with a 1" drop? What about set at teh 2" drop. The back of my truck is way higher than the front. I think 2" will be level. McGauchy's or BellTech, which is stronger and better quality. I will be hauling my snowmobile all winter.
