  1. Honestly the search button is your friend on this subject, as in so many drop questions have been asked before. But it is all preference, djm, belltech and mcgaughys are the three major brands. Belltech's hanger is supposedly the only hanger that works with caltracs, but beltech spindles throw your geometry off in the front. So go with mcgaughys spindles or djm upper and lower control arm's, and if your wanting to go with caltracs, then make sure you get belltech hangers, or just get any brand of drop spring's for the rear. The best way to go is to peice your kit together, and get the best thing that each company has to offer. So do your research!! Good luck! BTW Mr. P has done a write up on install's and part's, this is very informative to someone looking for SSS suspension ???'s.
  2. Aero Turbine, you will not regret it!!
  3. , glad you got that worked out. Now lets see those new pics!
  4. thanks I know!, i'm just using a generic term people are familair with.
  5. Very impressed with the engine covers, total pain in the ass, lots of sanding and filler primer!
  6. I also installed the Belltech Street Perf. drop shocks on all 4 corners. The ride is good, a lil bumpy but not bad. My front bumpstops are about ¼" from touching (That's with one nub) I don't know if I should trim more or if that's a proper setting for the front? That could be why it's a lil bumpy maybe, Don't know. The bumps stop's in front are supposed to be touching at all times, there should never be a space unless it is on jacks or on the lift. With just torsion bar alone it will be way to bouncy.
  7. wow, I really wish I was in cali, I would have you detail my truck!
  8. I love the extreme's man, good luck I can't wait to see some progress!
  9. I know there is a difference between magnaflows and glass packs, but what is it??? They are both mufflers with fiberglass filler and holes to get to it. So what is the difference?
  10. if you wan't your shit to align, mcgaughys is the only way to go!!!
  11. Because unless you have the old style belltechs, they are taller than your stock spindle therefore stretching the distance between your upper and lower control arm. Therefore it makes the geometry of the front suspension different. I'm not saying it is a horrible thing, but you will have a much better time aligning it with mcgaughys spindles. Just fyi the old belltech spindle's were almost an exact copy of mcgaughy's, well mcgaughy's didn't like that so much since they hold a patent, so they made belltech switch there design.
  12. that SSS is straight freaking awesome!!!! Ekstensive is one of, if not the best shop in the country for bagging and body drop's. They did it very tastefully, and we all know that SSS's are not very powerful or performance minded from the factory, it takes quite a bit to make one fast. So doing that to a stock SSS is pretty cool.
  13. You can get a full 2" out of keys, but you need to buy alignment bushings. The spindles really are your best bet. Just make sure you get mcgaughys spindles cause the belltechs throw your front end geometry off! I'm running a 3/5 on mine with no c notch and it does bottom out some, but as long as you dont haul anything you should be ok. If you haul a trailer or load anything in the back, Count on getting it notched.
  14. My girlfriend hates my truck, first cause we never ride in it, second cause if we do take my car it is never the vho and we take my daily driver which is not so nice, third cause I really spend more time and money on it than her. Wash it once or twice every 2 weeks, wax it every 2 months, I am always putting new shit on it. Have to park way away if we do drive it. I know its just a truck but I love it!! We actually did drive it tonight, and she got so pissed cause i parked it on the fire lane, cause there were no spot that had alot of space!
  15. my 04 just broke 52,500( damn thats alot of miles)!!!!!!!!!
  16. Jason im sooooo jealous, your truck has always been sick, not it's gonna be plain disgusting. Good luck on the install can't wait to see some numbers.
