  1. lucky SOB..... I'm stuck in wright-patterson OHIO, contemplating going to korea just so I can go to lackland
  2. you ran that with 22's? dang. This may open up to be one of my options, because I'm thinkin of not going too crazy with the truck and get myself another toy, and especially from how yall say that it holds up for daily driving.
  3. its probly on here somewhere but slapping one on a stock(ish) motor, how much of a real increase of power do you get? or basically what times would you be running?
  4. you'll notice an even better difference with the tube
  5. hmmmm, they're comin to dayton on the 10th...where I live... might be able to get some other TBSS's out there, I'll have to check on that
  6. I was just pokin around at home depot, saw the vent then the idea grew from there, on top of that I was really bored that day . Ghetto lookin or not, most important thing is my WALLET is laughin!
  7. damn coincidence, I just home depot'ed my ram air two days ago, and just saw this thread. Mine came out pretty damn good for under 20 bucks, and could tell a difference. I have a volant intake but didnt have the ram air tube, and those cost way too damn much for what it is. Here's what I did: Home depot plumbing section, couldnt believe I found that "stack boot"- was perfect Now this isnt the flimsy crappy dryer hose, its semi-rigid hose so it forms to the way ya want it and STAYS that way Add two 4 1/2" hose clamps and ya got all you need Took my right SS bottom vent out and popped off the clips that hold the mesh grille in, well...broke off the clips but was replacing them with nuts and bolts anyways trimmed the folding flaps off the "stack boot" with some snips Marked and drilled 4 holes in the stack boot and mounted to the vent using the original 4 holes for the grille Using a hose clamp, routed and mounted the flexible piping to the bottom of the airbox aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnd end result The routing of the piping which I didnt take pics of is damn near a straight shot down and a 90 degree bend to the vent, cant really use a rigid hose because it has to "S" a little bit over the fender well. The ONLY small problem I had was having to cut slits in the one end of the 4" hose and crimp it down with the hose clamp to adapt to the roughly 3 1/4" inlet into the box. I'm gonna pull it back out, paint the vent and hose black and put the grill back in so it looks better. Works great too, I can definately tell a difference, havent been able to read IAT's or anything tho.
  8. howso? I got belltechs on mine
  9. Who would have backseat passengers in a new camaro? I know I wouldnt This is something that would happen to me, so I can understand how the guy feels lol
  10. IMO it's not worth it. I just keep a gauge in my truck and check every now and then. The sensors are really easy to break when your tires are being removed or put on the rim, I've broken quite a few even though I was being extremely careful not to. Granted the place usually will reimburse/replace it, but it's a hassle. Also that gauge display would be more clutter in the interior
  11. Its been said already, but goddamn I cant quit checking out those rims
  12. ooooohh gotcha . makes it safer to use spray, makes sense, still dont think I'd use it tho lol
  13. window switch? sorry I'm a noob to automatics and launching them, can someone elaborate? hell I havent even taken my truck to a track yet
  14. chocolate lab, looking at him he looks fully lab but my family says he's probly got some bull mastif in him. Was found on a highway, obviously overfed and could tell was mistreated, he was 155 pounds when the shelter found him
  15. hmmmmm ah, would require way too much of it to bath that 140 pound fatty with it
  16. that's always fun, even worse when an old toyota tercel with a fart can tries to mess with you
  17. I bought my awd SSS FOR traction . Anyone can pull insane hp/torque out of a motor, but putting it to the ground is a different story. Although I'll say it's fun as hell whippin it around in the snow
  18. cant wait to get back to texas either...miss the place so much, but instead I'm in ohio dealing with their winters . I'm originally from belton/temple
  19. I use brake/parts cleaner religiously
  20. take it out, and spray the hell out of the inside with brake/parts cleaner, that's how I do it anyways. My guess is the MAF is ur problem, whether it's just dirty or you need a new one, especially if it acts like it's missing
  21. "There's even an online petition for a Ford high mileage club." riiiiight
  22. I can understand the not having a place to do it, but it really is self explanatory once you dig into it. The shackles are retarded easy. I tackled mine having slim to none knowledge on suspension, couldnt even point out a torsion bar to anyone at that time if I tried . Only thing I messed up was cuttin the bumpstops a little short
  23. ... 1. Did you clean your MAF? 2. FORGET to hook up your MAF?(funny, but people forget it all the time) Or damage the harness or wiring to it? 3. What do you mean by it not running right?
