  1. Hell, the supra was just one of their feats. over in japan, of course, they have the cresta and mark II "tourer v's"(youtube/google em, 4 door family sedan with a 1jz under the hood, they're sick), the celica GT4, MR2 turbo, and of course the old school corolla's (hachi's/AE86's). And those are just off the top of my head. Yeah they've leaned toward the economy side nowadays but they've made some impressive motors/ cars in the past, and you cant say they're not reliable either 40k sticker IS high, but if you were to spend around 24 or 25k on the base model singlecab V8, and get the SC for around 6 grand...then there ya go, you have the same truck minus the big brake kit and 22" wheels for considerably cheaper... I have the same impression on them as I had the new chevy trucks, thought they were fugly at first but they're startin to grow on me, especially once i started seeing them with 4/6 drops and stuff.
  2. wouldnt it require tweaking the tune a bit to vent it into the atmosphere vs redirecting it? At least from my experience with turbo's that's what you needed to do to have it running perfect.
  3. IMO creatine is pointless, it's great when you're on it but once you stop you shrink back to what you were, at least that's what I've experienced and seen among everyone that's taken it. gakic and leukic is by far my favorite, gotten the best results out of those. You should be alright on what you're taking. Right now I'm only doing protein and on a good diet plan.
  4. I always had an interest for as long as I can remember, but when I actually started learning a little bit was in high school. Both of my vehicles I had in high school I bought not running, fixed and sold them, making me a little bit of money. Really started learning when I went to japan in 2006, on the three nissans I owned over there, learned about motors AND turbo systems at the same time. So all my knowledge comes from nissans, and I am still itching to do another project.....
  5. I hear ya there, glad I joined the military and got out of the black hole. You really gotta be creative to think of things to do in belton/temple
  6. welcome, I grew up in central tx, belton specifically.
  7. i think the best one I saw on there was some idiot who owned a newer evo, all he did to it was put a boost controller on it, and turned up the boost to like 30 or 35 pounds or somethin........ when he said that, all 3 of the contestants looked at each other confused and said "he's gonna blow that thing", and sure as shit, BOOM!!! I was laughin my ass off on that one.
  8. I thought so, but someone ALWAYS gets offended
  9. they screw us outta money, apologize if I offended anyone with that comment, been watching too much south park
  10. yeah, and like I said their advertising is pretty bad. Put an ad in the paper for a tire, they'll say it's $49.99, but that's for the smallest size in that tire...so when the customer comes up, happens all the time, their size turns out to be literall twice the price, and then it turns bad. But then again, most businesses do that, but sears does it worse.
  11. 297??? damn! what kind of car is it? And the tech only gets $8 for installing the tires for commission...and that's on a truck! $6 for a car... they really jew us outta money there's always a wait to talk to the CSA, half because of the idiotic scheduling and other half because customers wanna know the price of every single tire in stock.... They came down and limited our alloted hours BAD, so sometimes you'll only have one customer service guy for the whole auto center. And when someone says they dont work in that department, like for example if a customer randomly asked me how much a tire or anything is, I wouldnt have a clue, they dont teach the techs how to look that up in the computer, I just put em on. It really ticks me off when they do that crap, when someone comes in for a flat repair and they try and sell em all we have. They are working on commission so put them in the same category as a salesman at a car dealership. I heard our manager sell someone a "winterizing" package.... I asked her what the f*&^ that was, she said just checking the fluids and topping off the coolant....... I'm sure it cost way more than it should have. They're REALLY bad about that on selling alignments... I'm probly gonna quit in the near future, the job isnt worth the money, and i cant stand the place anymore, I was just in it to get my certifications out of it. Like I said though, RAISE HELL and they'll give ya what you want, especially if it's the store manager that doesnt know much about the automotive section.
  12. hell yeah brian, you're pretty close to our area too!
  13. Sorry but I'm laughin readin this, you think customer service is bad??? try workin for the bastards!!! I work about 15 hours a week there as a second job, as a tech not a customer service guy though. And no I'm not gonna stand behind them and argue with you, what they did was messed up and I hate the place just as much, but do like the 10% employee discount on tools. Our tech's that do brakes and alignments are pretty good, two of em have been workin there for 30 years, but I cant say the same for the other stores I've been to... If you raise enough hell they will just give you what you want, speak to the entire store manager and not the automotive manager though. I dunno, in our store every once in a while we have shit happen that is our fault, but when it does we make sure to compensate for it. Of course too we get the idiot customers, one the other night basically said that we were supposed to call him and tell him when to rotate his tires......... We told him we cant call him every day and ask if he's driven 6000 miles yet.... So yeah in your case it was sears fault, but ya gotta admit that there are retarded customers out there.
  14. hey all, one of the guys in the local car club (owns a tbss), is trying to start an ohio SS forum, http://www.ohiosstrucks.com/index.php it's probly gonna take a while to really get going, especially being that it just went up last night. There's been so many SS's poppin up around here lately...it's awesome! Well, figured I'd just spread the word
  15. I understand you there, E-4 pay isnt enough to even get a billet grille for my truck...which is why I got a second job!
  16. I've only seen two other SS's in my area, and both of the guys that drive em are in there 60's, and not enthusiasts. There are two TBSS's in the local car club around here, usually just hang and BS with those guys
  17. not to mention the reputation of it over this wynjammer thing
  18. keep in mind though brock is improving on his ground game, started training with royce gracie back in may... He definately did better on the ground in his fight against herring than he did in his fight with frank mir
  19. I agree with that, if not a rookie mistake... i have a feeling he's gonna start getting cocky and slip up bad.
  20. the washer fluid concentrate though and not the diluted crap right? heard of people using "heet", which can be picked up for a few bucks per bottle... I know yall say it isnt a power adder like nos, but if you were, to say, add meth to a setup with an intercooler only pushin around 7 psi, how big of gains would you be lookin at?
  21. this is a toss up for me, lesnar is in his prime but still learning, and couture is just kickass but a little past his time IMO
  22. i've had my honda days, I'll admit it Cant believe they put that body kit on it, the exterior on those Si's should be left untouched IMO. If you were to dump some money into it, ditch the h22 and get a k-series motor! A little on the expensive side, but well worth it. Myself and a guy I work with thought about building up one for shits and giggles.
  23. I just saw this about a half hour ago, freakin insane! Loved the segway part. the wrx also sounded badass!
