  1. I have only seen this done once. And I made him change it back. Sorry.
  2. Thanks for that link. I will be ordering on of those too!
  3. With a tech II you should be able to change it.
  4. The machine shop still had to do a little trimming on the 4" windage tray. Something to do with the truck pickup tube. The machinist just told me about it. I didn't see it. I let him out the long block together. Make sure you check it.
  5. Thanks Nz. I am pretty excited to see how this thing does next spring at the track. I have plenty of time now. It was -5F this morning and we have about 6 inches of snow already. I have lots to do still, but I see this thing going pretty fast, street or track.
  6. Lol. I'm very close. I haven't been able to touch it in almost 3 weeks. I need about 2 or 3 full days and I can have this thing running minus driveshafts.
  7. There has been a few guys to install the flex fuel sensor on a nbs based truck. The hard part is getting the proper tuning and ecm file for the truck to read the sensor. But I'm sure that zippy can figure that out!
  8. As far as e-85. I have zero experience with it. In Alaska all we have is 90 octane. I have learned a lot about methanol and how to manipulate it. I personally would love to have e85. Because it allows for a lot more compression/boost etc. but it requires a lot of fuel. Which the dual big pumps would support. The Walbro 450 I think is built for e85. I'm not sure on the 400. Hopefully the potato head will chime in here, he is very knowledgable about running e85. My thoughts are if you can I would. But catch 22 is you can only get it in specific places. So if you travel in your truck I would not.
  9. Lol. Nope. Sorry. The 04 and up Sss's have a much larger fuel bucket. They also have a return less fuel system. I have an 03. It is a return system. I got an 04 tank and bucket. And converted the 04 bucket to a return setup. The 04 bucket can easily fit two large pumps in there. The stock 03 return bucket you have to cut the crap out of the bucket to get two pumps in the bucket.
  10. Now my spare is not the one you need I think though. I have an extra 03 bucket. You need an 04 bucket. I upgraded my fuel tank to a return less fuel tank and fuel bucket. I bought an extra return less fuel bucket from a junk yard for 100 bucks. All I'm asking is do a little research before going that far. I took a few pics of what I did to the fuel bucket in my build thread. I think I even had pics of the wiring harnesses that I bought from racetronix. They are setup to run the second pump on a Hobbs switch. I have my second pump setup to turn on at 7psi. There is also a good write on pt.net. Atomic did a good write up on his dual pump upgrade. Just ignore the tank swap since you should already have the bigger bucket setup.
  11. Ok. I'm going to try to help you. Build your own dual pump setup. I also was in need of a new fuel setup. And I was going to have lonnies build me a new setup. He wouldn't do what I wanted. I wanted dual Walbro 400's. He said that dual 255's was more than enough. Well. He might be right. But I have seen a lot of these trucks with boost eat a lot of fuel. So. I priced it out myself. I built it all myself. And I spent about 350 on the fuel bucket. What I spent the most on was the fuel lines and regulator. You are at a level you need to consider a 8an feed and a return line with a boost referenced regulator. I probably have about 1k into just my fuel bucket, lines, fittings and regulator. I remember you buying id1000's. Build a fuel system to support the whole setup. I am NOT a mechanic. I have had some help from friends, but I did my entire fuel bucket by myself. You can do this. I think you can build it yourself with more pump for less money. I can link you to quite a few fuel pump builds to read through and get a feel for it first. Now if you are a RB, then by all means. Just have lonnies build your setup, but don't let him talk you into 2 255's. Our trucks are heavy, we run 58psi instead of 43.5 like the cars and your are running boost. You can never have too much pump on a return system. But remember. You need more to your fuel system than just the fuel pumps. Just my 2 cents.
  12. Are you having lonnies do your fuel bucket? What are you doing to the fuel system? The 04's have a non-return bucket correct? I have an extra 03 return bucket.
  13. These are the ones I have been using. I don't think they are a 1/4 watt. But they have been in my truck for the 4hi mod for about 5 years.
  14. If I get a second later today, I will give you the radio shack part #.
  15. Welcome from North Pole!
  16. With a mass air flow setup it woul have a very small effect on your tuning. MOST people once they get to this point in power levels go to speed density. With speed density it doesn't matter how much air you pump into the intake. The map sensor would read the pressure diffrence. Remind me of your setup? Didn't you just go turbo?
  17. Nicely done! N/a that thing is screaming!

    03 Build

Richard. If you build a crossmember. I'll get it welded in. You should have seen my friends faces when I notched and boxed in the front of my frame for my intercooler to fit in between the frame rails. Maybe something where we cut the back half of the leaf spring off? Then use the coil overs for the actual suspension? Or build a bar to take the place of the spring from the axle to the front hanger?

    03 Build

I don't want air ride on my truck. It needs to be coil overs in the rear.

    03 Build

Awesome. I'm hoping to drop my 2" in the front and 3-4 in the back. I have my coil over kit sitting in the shop. All that's left to get is the shocks. What do you think of the ride? Any diffrence? Handling?
  21. Very impressive!! Congrats! I can't remember, were you running an 80mm or a 76? With those numbers I would think an s480.
  22. Very cool! I wish I could weld at all. I would've done this also! Let's have some specs! Looks like you are running 3" charge pipes? Doesn't look like a 80mm. I'm guessing a magnum 76?
  23. I got my transmission installed finally. Everything actually bolted right up. I won't even have to use spacers between the flexplate and the converter this time. So now I got to finish up the wiring on the 80e. And my charge pipes. So I figure in a week or two I will be firing it up. I need to order driveshafts also. But I am going to put on my coil-over front suspension first. So I can get my ride height. Then order drivelines.
  24. I kinda looked around. I'm kinda curious what all you did here? Specs and sort. I mean the only details in here is the list of pictures. I would kinda like to know your cam and hot pipes you used. Judging from the way the turbo is sittin and such it is either a trick or kb setup? How much meth were you spraying? 1 or two 10# or 15# nozzles etc. Just curious. And what did you do for crankcase venting.
