  1. Yes, I think that was the difference. Just give them a call tomorrow, tell them your goals and they will advise you. I found them to be very straight up folks. I went by their shop and got a brief tour. Everything you see on the web site is on the up and up. They just do what they say they will do. That made the difference for me.. CD
  2. FLT Level 7 No more worries I Love mine. Great people to deal with. http://www.finishlinetrans.com/ CD
  3. Southern born, Southern bred, when I die I will be Southern dead. Memphis, Tennessee CD
  4. You got me by 5 years. Glad to be still kicking up dust. CD
  5. I have been using the Flo Pro for sometime now and love it. NO Drone, but sounds good outside and at WOT. CD
  6. Did you try to turn off Windows FireWall? Also you may need to add port 80 access to were the files are loaded. I am sure it will work, but I have not loaded it on Vista. CD
  7. Money Pit!! You will be sorry for all the time and trouble it takes to do what you want. CD
  8. I would love to see that stuff up close and personal. I have heard that is is really nice. Be sure to post up some photos when you are done. and good luck with the inserts. CD
  9. Happy Thanksgiving! I am not familiar with the hand-held that you are referring to, but for the cost of this and the time trying to tune your truck, you can have a custom tune. Appears that the 2004 is NOT listed as a supported truck. Talk to BlackBear for tuning and then pick some other type of gauges. CD
  10. I am very glad I made the switch to the FLT Level 7. Got it while on special. Like others have said, any transmission can be broken, but the FLT will go a long way. With the small amount of mods you currently have, a good repair will hold for awhile. If you get that Supercharger, you will want to upgrade the transmission as well.
  11. Very nice Upgrade fellows. The speed is awesome! Thanks for keeping us up and running. CD
  12. Just saw this thread tonight, so I will jump in. 39 years in 2 more weeks. My Carolyn is the GREATEST! Life does get better as the relationship grows. Hang in there Guys CD
  13. I would pick one problem at a time to solve. Either the alarm issue or the clogged CATS. The cats will make it die a higher RPM and if there are codes it could mean you are in danger of engine damage. Where are you located? Take it easy and Good Luck. CD
  14. A relearn will NOT reset the PCM to factory. I sure hope that they did not over write your tune. Hopefully the Dealer will do things right and get you going again. I would still ask about the fuel pressure. CD
  15. Backup a little bit and tell us when the Tune was installed. When did this problem start? What was the result of the fuel pressure test? Did they pull any codes? CD
  16. You can check with Futral Motorsports. Alan can help you I bet. They are in Walker, LA. CD
  17. Well this all sounds just like my transmission. It was a cracked accumulator piston. I had a few other problems and just went a new FLT tranny. Man I love it. Good Luck CD
  18. First, let me say THANKS FOR SERVING our Country. Blessings to you and your family. Second, I highly recommend that you get a in live tune from someone that you can trust. This is NOT a plug and play install as you now know. and the tune will make or break you in the long run. Play it safe and cool, stay out of WOT until you KNOW that you have a SAFE tune. One of my concerns is that you have run a lot of fuel through the truck and it was NOT burning it all. This will wash not the cylinder walls, and cause wear. You should change to oil as soon as you know that the fuel problem is cured. Have fun with the new found power. CD
  19. +2 I also love my Nitto 420's. Just trash the Goodyears before they separate like mine did! CD
  20. I know how you must be feeling right about now. Have you thought about talking to FLT? Their Level 7 will hold what you have and more. Call Andy or Chuck and see what they can do for you. CD
  21. Well, I couldn't find the GM # but AutoZone lists it as # SP500300 $150.00 that is the hub w/bearing. Hope that helps CD
  22. On the Tranny, go FLT Level 7 with the Summer special. You will love it. Good luck on the clone build, it will be nice. CD
  23. The LS7 is a DRY sump oil system. A regular LS engine is Wet. There is a lot of additional concerns when making this swap. You have a lot of other options now when is comes to making 500 hp. Start by searching different sites, like LS1Tech.com or performancetrucks.net. Good luck on a conversion CD
