  1. For some reason mine doesn't accumulate that much goop. Even prior to the port and polish...it wasn't all that dirty, I guess some trucks use more than others. On the other hand when I had my dodge, it was terrible. I would just pull it off, takes about 10 mins if being slow and spray it down with some TB Cleaner.
  2. will they fit an SS? gains, reviews....I know most of their stuff is awesome...is this the case with these too?
  3. I don't think swapping the TB will help what you are describing. A tune would be a good idea, and porting the stock will help slightly, nothing dramatic...but that is the one thing I know was slightly better after porting it. you could also order a jantzer *sp one off ebay.
  4. I slammed a deer the other morning headed to work...$904.00. Gonna see if I can keep the front bumper cover and brake ducts, for a future project. But, it could have def been worse. at least he did the right thing and it can be fixed.
  5. ^^^Just keep me posted on how they work out, I'm torn between a cowl hood, or Headers.
  6. Didn't pick up on the "REBUILT" statement, originally....steer away from it, ESPECIALLY since he wants too much. if it was a 2010 rebuilt v-max I wouldn't pay over 10K. I learned my lesson with my stealth...if you buy a rebuilt vehicle, plan on keeping it FOREVER.
  7. I am just glad someone else drives their's like I do mine, lol.
  8. My SS has cloth gray interior...it's the way it was ordered.. I WANT LEATHER, lol.
  9. If i ever go turbo ... mine has always been ... "SPOOLEDU" or "WHTLAG?"
  10. I always thought that it was quite involved to get e85 to run in a vehicle that had not been designed for it. Like hoses, gas lines, injectors, fuel pumps, tune...etc. Interesting, we only have one station here now (well 2 but its open from like 8am to 5 pm). So this wouldn't even be practical.
  11. Sorry about your truck, it seems to be the trend here as well. For some reason they steal the xm radio's....but they worthless if they can't be activated, not to mention typically more damage is done to the vehicle than the items they steal.
  12. I've heard that the stock bolts are better (maybe new ones).
  13. Patrol Officer- rank POI for the largest city in our county...which is still relatively small. Basically I play with blue lights and sirens.
  14. nice to know on the lightweight springs...are u guys seeing a good fit with the metal hoods, too
  15. I think this hood should be offered in carbon fiber, how do you think the fiberglass will hold up to being opened and closed, the stock hood springs are pretty stiff, I could see where stress cracks could develop over time.
  16. NC has had the texting law out for close to a year or better, we also ban all cell phone use by anyone under 18 unless it is *911 or their parents. I had a kid tell me after he totaled a focus that I couldn't check his phone...I explained the law to him, needless to say guess what he was doing?? TEXTING. we actually have a driving simulation course much like the fatal vision goggles....and no shiiiiaaaaaaat, impaired drivers don't hit as many cones. However, I haven't seen a texter flip the golf carts either, lol.
  17. As far as I have heard they will fit the 6.0L no problems. Once everyone gets them they should let us know.
  18. Shhhweeeeeet.....keep me (us) posted.
  19. Awesome....please do. I don't care if they are knockoffs I would just like to know they actually perform...and I've heard that they hold up very very well. I know a lot of the LS1 cars seem to run em...but I haven't seen any numbers. If anyone can identify the donor for the make-up of these I'd like to know. I have heard pacesetters.......and if they are, what was your reviews of them... They are 1 3/4" primaries i believe into a 3" collector which is supposed to be pretty good flow.
  20. I like it alot, I actually think your truck would look awesome leaving it black and painting the top portion of your truck to match, lol. I also like the idea about painting the raised portion black.
  21. Thanks, in my opinion I doubt I would run the y-pipe as I would assume that the 6.0 would be just fine with true duals all the way back. Would you have to run the y-pipe? Is it necessary, or just a bonus in the kit? Wouldn't gains be better without it?
  22. I know you guys are getting tired of looking at Header questions. However, I have been considering LPP LT headers for a while, and I am trying to figure out if I should wait and keep saving up for ARH or Dynatechs. http://lpparts.com/store/page7.html I know a lot of guys can just look at headers and see the flaws v/s benefits. I also know a lot of guys keep up with other forums....so far I have not seen any dyno numbers from the LPP's. I have also not seen any track times from using the LPP's. If any of you guys have some numbers (dyno or 1/4 mile times) post em up. I searched on pt.net and gmfs.com and I never saw anything relating to numbers. Hell, if you guys can estimate a 1/4 mile time increase...that'll work. I need to get up with Zippy and talk to him about retunning the truck for these and deleting the 2nd 02 sensor. I'll even accept a butt dyno response or 2. My current mods are 160* thermo, K&N FIPK Intake, Ported TB and TB bypass, true dual flowmaster exhaust (looking to go magnaflow), and a tune from zippy. It's also rolling on 305/50-20's. I have yet to run the truck as I would LT's and a re-tune first. You guys know where the truck fall at in 1/4 mile.
  23. I found them yesterday at the same store...I am really contemplating this one, too. what do you guys think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-25-Dodge-...sQ5fAccessories The quality looks pretty good how are yours holding up?
