  1. I screwed with the BOV today dont know what I did lol but it worked I saw 12 psi on the highway tonight thanks guys.

  4. I replaced my belt and tensioner and that fixed the slippage issue there is no more dust and I can feel the difference, but the problem I have is im still only seeing 6psi on my gauge the truck is def. faster with the new belt and tensioner, but still only seeing 6psi max where I should be 12psi. Couple things going on I have a small exhause leak (very small). I have the stock BOV or recirculating valve that ati sent with the kit I see alot of people think these are junks, could the valve be bad and be bleeding off the boost? How do I test for bleed off? What kind of valve could I replace it with? any suggestiong would be greatly appreciated. Not sure where else I could be losing the boost.

  6. I called magnuson today to ask about the fuel pump and a new tensioner pulley. They told me because I was a 03 that the 04 intank fuel pump will not work that I needed the inline pump??? is there any truth to that or will the 04 intank fuel pump kit work on my 03? Also they told me there belt tensioner was a dayco tensioner so instead of getting threw them I ordered threw dayco.
  7. from the video they seem to pull hard up top. Also today I found my slippage issues under my hood was covered in belt dust and little chunks of the belt and I tested the tension and there was no tension at all so this is why im not seeing my 12 psi of boost I only saw 8lbs last night while racing him, so im going back to a gates belt smaller in size and a magnuson tensioner for now looking maybe going to the cog set up seeing how I future plans for my hp. Also quick racing question when I go to race I manually down shift, do you thinks its better to do it manually or just hammer it?

So yeah went out to the truck and opened the hood to work on my meth kit and there was belt dust everywhere and chunks of belt the procharger was almost black lol I tested the tension on the belt and there is like no tension at all. Its a new gator back v belt guess ill have to go back to gates and get a smaller belt. Thanks everyone for your input it has helped greatley thinking of doing the cog kit seeing how the 8 rib set up is only alittle cheaper. For right now im going to change out the belt and get a magnuson belt tensioner.
  9. How bout going with a little smaller belt and a different tensioner pulley im using just the stock tensioner right now is there a better tensioner pulley?
  10. from looking at pictures it was definatley the RS/SS camaro not sure if that makes a difference. What is the difference between the RS/SS, and the regular SS?
  11. it was a cool looking camaro tho yellow with two big black stripes and some nice wide tires. Not sure if was modded tho couldnt hear anything over my truck lol.
  12. Thanks that is what I was thinking from like 0 to around 75 my truck pulls crazy hard but kinda dies top end still pulls but not nearly as hard.

  14. Wow the cog kits are not cheap lol!!! is there any way besides going cog to help limit or elimanate the slippage to a minumum? Is there any one belt better then the other one ?
  15. so on the highway I get along a new yellow camaro ss I rev the truck up alittle bit to see if would bite and then I take off, well he did wish he didnt we get on the connector for getting on to 84 as we are coming off I floor it so does he from like a 60mph roll he pulls around me and about 2 car lengths infront of me and I stay 2 lengths from him up to 120 and then he starts to pull again so I cut it off because there is no way I can get him top end so we both slow and as he is getting off we give eachother the thumbs up. Damn I thought I would do better I was seeing 8lbs of boost and seeing how they are a 12.9 car I thought I would do better then that. I must have gotten him in his sweet spot.

I know sorry if I sounded snippy, but yeah looked under there today there is black dust im guessing after I raced that sti my belt prolly stretched as it was the belt was alittle loose for my likeing. I can feel it doesnt pull like when I first put the new belt and pulley on. I was thinking more hp I want to do 60lb injectors, gt2-3 cam and new push rods and prolly a 15psi pulley. Where could I get a cog set up for my truck would it be hard to install im guessing that means I have to change all the pulleys??

  19. The exhaust is obx long tubes cat delete and a straight threw flowmaster muffler I used the stock pipeing and just welded in the muffler.
  20. I'm seeing 9lbs right now so its a 3lb drop in psi, but when I first did the exhaust and cat delete I saw a 3lb drop in psi it went from 8 to 5 psi. Could I pulley down again to see 12 psi or will I be pushing the engine to much? I tried to pin the crank but can't get the bolt off so I drew a straight line threw the bolt and the pulley and it hasn't moved so that's not slipping.
  21. Since I put on the new pulley Ive noticed ive only been able to get up to 9 psi the pulley is set up to get to 12 psi I had just a couple question. Once I put on the new headers and took off the cats I noticed with my stock set up I was only gett 5 psi, is this because there is more flow? So would going to a smaller pulley help me to achieve my 12 psi? There are no leaks in the system I checked. Also I have the stock blow off valve that came with my kit could this cause the loss of boost? Just had couple questions on where the boost might have gone. If I have to I will get a smaller pulley.

    Got my wish on my way to work today a newer sti with a loud exhaust passes me we get stoped at the next light he is looking at with a smirk I'm just thinking in my head he has no idea lol light turns green and we take off up to 25 we were tied after that I pulled on him and hard by 75 I had atleast 3 trucks on him he had this horrified look on his face like wtf just happen. I shut off at 80 and he keeps going the guy in the ford truck behind me comes up on my side at the next light laughing he said was the greatest thing he has seen in awhile.
  23. Yep just did it last week and I have the wheatley cable tune done also truck feels a lot stronger pulls like a mofo lol just wish I could get a good race from a stop, not these highway races so I can see how I compare.

    Raced Mustang

    On my way home from work tonight got behind a 89 mustang gt I could see it had aftermarket exhaust and street ets for tires and I could smell the racing gas what a awesome smell. So I decide what the hey so I pull around him and past him to about 90 and then I slow down to 70, then I see him step on it and get in the next lane so as he got next to me I hammered it he couldnt pull on me I was right on him we went to 110 if we kept going I think I could have pulled alittle on him. Sucks I get all these highway races no races ever off the line I think if we went from a dead stop I would have pulled hard on him. I feel like my truck should be faster and I should be pulling on these people I end up racing on the highway, but alot of people say if I raced from a dead stop the outcome would be totally different that I would pull hard on them. What you guys think is my set up not designed to race from a highway roll, think my outcomes would be different from a dead stop. Its just with my set up I should be deep in the 12's and when I race cars on the highway that are 13 sec cars I cant pull on them?????
  25. Not sure on what to get for a new fuel pump, I think my pump is starting to go so I need to replace it. Ive been looking at Walboro intank pumps, but the company I emailed said they do not make it for my application. Also should I do a intank pump or inline pump will it matter? Any suggestions appreciated, if you could leave the model # to so I can look it up that would be great. Thanks guys.
