  1. Tailgate is victory red, no dents, has a standard black Silverado cap on it, not the SS one. No emblems. I can try to get a pic, it's been wrapped in plastic sitting in my basement.
  2. Thanks guys! I've got it on craigslist right now at $8000 but I'm willing to negotiate if anyone is interested just PM me Truck can go with everything or I can sell the front dif, tailgate and rims separately
  3. truck is up for sale! check it out!

  4. Well guys... I'm getting married next weekend and upgrading to a 2007 Escalade with the 6.2L AWD early next week So my truck is up for sale (again, and for real this time) Currently, it's sitting at a little over 229k miles tuned with AEM cold air intake, OBX longtubes, and efans. I've owned it since 79k miles and it's been serviced at the same dealership with all documentation since I bought it. Interior is in good condition and it comes with weatherTech floor mats. Clean title in hand. GM optioned CK370s with newer Goodyear tires purchased last year for winter rims, some flaking on the inner lip and one has minor curb rash. I've also got a set of black 20" SSS replicas with tires, not much tread left, but there's another set of used tires to go with them if necessary. I'd let it go with either set, both, or keep either one as a winter set for the Escalade. Since it is higher mileage and I wasn't sure when I'd need it, I picked up a new front differential from Autozone. This will also be for sale, either separate or could go with the truck. New from Autozone it rang up around $1400 including a $250 core. I've got the paperwork so you'd get the core charge when you return your old one. Spare victory red tailgate will be available. Stock airbox will go back on if I end up trading it in. I always hated the idea of selling my truck but this 6.2 AWD I'm looking at has me eager to sell. Located in Southeastern Wisconsin, I'm off most of next week leading up to the wedding. It'd be cool to keep it on the forum as I know I'll stick around with the Escalade. Serious offers, PM me.
  5. Not sure I'm liking the idea of tearing my truck apart for a clone. But I may be willing to sell mine... PM me, I don't think I'm too far from you in Beaver Dam.
  6. anybody have an 07 Tahoe as a second vehicle? Looking at an LTZ, hate my Acadia. Thoughts?

I've had the Acadia for maybe a week now and it's been one thing after the next. Dropped it off at the stealership on my way to the airport today. Hope to go home with something different when I get back. I've read problems with oil consumption on the 5.3?

Well thats really with any LS engine, they all really need a oil can.

As for the GM crossover your right they are all junk shit to me, but we have over 105,000 miles on it and havent had no big issues that weren't covered on the warrenty.

I have an '09 and I love it. If you can find an '09+ with the 6L80E, you will be better off than the '07-'08 with the 4L70E. The only thing I don't care for is the DOD, the transitions aren't so great sometimes, and getting on it from cruising speed can be tricky (lag). Easy fix, have someone with HP Tuners disable the DOD or get the $150 Range Technologies ODB module that locks out DOD like I did. Oil consumption is less with the DOD disabled.

  7. I can still get a real good shine when I polish mine but they are pitted in spots and the inside is flaking out. They were on the truck when I bought it and not in perfect condition so I use them as my winter rims and keep my black reps out of the sand and salt. Good maintenance and cleaning from the get-go would be the best with any chrome wheel to help avoid any fugly stuff
  8. thinking of selling my SSS for more of a family cruiser. 229k with two sets of rims, spare tailgate, new in box front differential.

Where and how long ago did you buy the front diff?

      Good luck with your sale.

  9. Pretty sure those are the same dealer-optioned wheels I have on my SSS and I have the Chevy center cap Blown 346 is right, they'll pit if not polished often.
  10. I had to upgrade the fuses that came with my harness from 30A to 40A but I was using Silverado efans and they draw more current. They also bolted right in. Not sure how the ls1 fans mount but cooling shouldn't be an issue.
  11. where did you pick up those wires from? got a part #?
  12. Great build! I dream of the day I can throw a blower at my truck. Going wayyy back on this thread but are you still running the Z06 cam with your setup? Is it a decent cam without requiring other mods for a stock SSS?
  13. there's an 03 SSS with 99k for sale in my area asking $12,900

I'd take 13k for my 03 w/95k if somebody offered it (not that I want to get rid of my truck or anything). Florida truck it's whole life, looks new underneath it.

I don't need 13k bad enough to even think about it right now. Could change any day, I guess.

to me, it looks like the front end has just been touched up from an accident. the gas cover has some white rash still from something. I got mine for 14k with only 78k so not sure what this dude has going on with it. I have his #

  14. thinking it is time to send in my cluster for an LED swap... white or red? I can't decide...my truck is red.

I went with blue, (Black truck) a year + ago. The new has worn off and I am wishing that I'd gone with white.

I'm highly considering GM Gauge Guys and was leaning more towards white. I'll make a post once I pull the trigger, thanks guys! Happy Father's Day!!

  15. fishing line to cut thru the adhesive works pretty well and you're not prying on the emblems much... getting the remainder of the adhesive off would then be the tricky part.., but your emblems should remain intact.
  16. Returned mine to a local Autozone and the staff was very understanding with my frustration and I believe handled it very well. That said, I'm still waiting another week for another front diff. I'll be picking it up at the store so I can check it before making another trip back...again. Thankful for this forum and Bill(NipRing) for the PM before I tore into my truck.
  17. Yep. Same sh*t here too. Got the 4wd part. Thanks for the PM Bill and good talking with ya before I tore into my truck. I'll be making my trip to Autozone in the morning. I still can't believe they shipped mine on a full size semi. I'll be loading it in the back of my Park Ave... including pallet. Will update how mine ends up whenever it happens.
  18. Good to hear you got yours even though it took what seems to be forever! Hoping for mine sooner than later. Good luck with the weekend project and congrats on the raise!
  19. Did you ever get your front diff from Autozone??? I've been getting dicked around for the last 3weeks now. "ships within 3-5 business days" is a load of bs. I was later told "processing" takes 3-5 business days. I didn't get shipping info til last week with an eta of 4-28-14. I haven't seen it yet. Was just told 4-28 was an "estimate" so I contacted the freight company. They say the shipment is pending a notify appointment being scheduled with my prior to delivery and they left a message to schedule on 4/29. They don't have a number to contact for the appointment. So I check the bill of lading and my phone number is clearly shown! I haven't received any phone calls or emails regarding this and I'm beginning to get rather angry about it. I placed the order April 7th and here we are going into May and my truck is still sitting. What am I to do?!?! Feels like i'm getting the run around from both autozone and the freight company now. I could have ordered to pick up at a store if I knew this was going to be such a PAIN
  20. My efans would pop the fuses at first so had to swap them out for 40amps. Still notice a voltage drop every now and then when they kick in but my alternator isn't that old. I'm waiting for the day it dies then get a bigger alternator. Sorry i'm not any help with the tuning. I had mine tuned in at pcm4less.
  21. Just ordered my first 50rd drum for my smith&wesson mp15-22 my first pair of 25rd mags I got when I bought the gun lead to a couple pairs of 35rd mags and it started... now I'll have eight 25rd, four 35rd, one 10rd, and a 50rd... this gun is a BLAST to shoot. thankfully 22s are cheap if you can find them

everyone says they hold up fine. mine fit perfectly. I ran a small bead of silicone around them just to be safe... for 100 bucks really cant go wrong...

  23. I just ordered mine. Figure it's Autozone so if it turns out to be wrong, I'll just return it! Couldn't pass up the deal with the gift card when compared to how much a rebuild would cost.
