  1. I first replaced my stock shocks with Bilsteins and didn't find much problem with them. Then they wore out again (I drive a lot) and I've since gone to Belltech streetperformance shocks from NorcalSS online store. I like the feel of them better.
  2. I also have a spare victory red tailgate I'd sell if anyone is interested shoot me a PM No emblem or lower cladding with a standard black GM cap
  3. Well, not to join "that selling crowd"... I hate to give up the SS but it has come time and I've posted it for sale. It'd be nice if the truck would go to a member on the site. yep left front caliper seized/repalced, ac compressor seized/replaced, and right axle worn/replaced. it's been an expensive year but hey I'll have AC again..

  9. I'd be burning up tires left and right if I were 2wd. The money spent replacing my transfer case was probably cheaper in the long run than the tires i'd have gone through already!
  10. what a crap week for the a/c in the sss to stop blowing cold. wtf

  11. knock on wood... but over 222k miles here and no problems yet with my front dif
  12. We had water problems in the basement at my parents place a few year back. Ended up with 2 sump pumps, a couple wet/dry shop vacs, big floor squeegy, an industrial size dehumidifier and a barn fan. Then the mold took to the lower portions of the walls, so we tore out the lower half of drywall and replaced it with replacable laminate paneling (easier to replace the next time). I believe insurance covered a portion of the cost in supplies at least. Bleach the mold, all of it. Depending how bad it is up in your walls and all, you may want professionals take a closer look. If you have the insurance, use it. It's been a crazy wet one, this summer. Ventilate and good luck!
  13. Welcome to the site. I'll be working nearby down in Mt. Olive in the SS this week
  14. I too thought the SS was way out of my league when it first came out. Now a well-maintained supercharged ride is next on my dream list. i'm holding out to find a decent supercharged cts-v under 20k...that hasn't had the crap pimp slapped out of it lingenfelter turns out some nice rides but they're definitely not cheap
  15. Thanks for the links! Picking up me some new shocks to replace my bilsteins
  16. Too bad this idea didn't get tossed around back when I drove the SS down the Key West! That'd turned into a very $$$ trip from WI. I'd totally do it if someone paid for the gas lol
  17. wow I didn't realize those mustangs were 415hp and still getting 27+ highway I still like the camaro but can't let myself pull the trigger because of the mpg... Tough call going Ford but hey... when it breaks you can always try and sell it.
  18. stock bose radio faceplate? bose front door speakers? driver side door panel?
  19. Back when I ordered mine I had selected the 05 fans as well. I'm guessing this was a recent find by pcmforless...
  20. yeah PCMforLess says 30amp with the LS1 camaro fans should be fine but they recommend 40amp if using the 34" truck fans
  21. Only had to upgrade the fuses to 40amp. alternater is working fine. I just notice a voltage drop every now and then so I'm keeping an eye on it.
  22. Got it working again! Heard back from PCM4Less and the 30amp fuses were for the ls1 camaro fans. My truck uses the bigger 34" truck fans that require 40amp fuses..which they are including with their new harnesses to avoid this issue. I also noticed an occasional voltage drop at idle. So I may upgrade to a larger alternater sooner than later... Mine is only a year old if anyone is looking. Sell my standard oem to help fund the upgrade!
