  7. 3mpg increase just in the brand of oil?! Maybe I should try something different. I've been using M1 when I change the oil and the stealership puts in whatever they use when I take it in for a checkup... Over 208,000 miles and change oil somewhere between 3-5k, never low on oil, and average around 16mpg.

  11. haha triple wings... you missed the one on the roof
  12. mmmmotorboating them may require a cdl better sign up $250 a steal
  13. Ran the vin on the website for my 04 victory red SSS. Lowest number I found was for the wheels at 3651... would that mean 3651 of the 5098 in 2004 were victory red SS??
  14. I'm pretty sure the mounting is a little wider/different on our trucks than in the camaros.
  15. No doubt. I threw $5500 at my SS in parts/maintenance last year. Continue to justify it because no more truck payment and still have a badass truck. There's no truck, like our trucks. Good luck getting it back together and on the road!
  16. I know the truck wasn't leaking anything but they said the oil cooler was bent from who knows what. The headlight housing was cracked and the brackets inside were all smashed. It looked pretty good after I shoved the light back in there, but it is broken and sitting in there loose. Damages were around $3k in parts and somewhere over $1k in labor. The dealer I bought the truck from is a preferred service location for my insurance company so all I had to do was drop it off to get written up and fixed. Zero deductible - insurance finally paying off. In the meantime, I had been stuck with driving a 15passenger Ford E350 van over the weekend. Just yesterday, they swapped me over to a Mazda3. that van sucked gas like no other
  17. Well last week it was snowing/blowing cold and a doe jumped out in front of me. Hit it square in the rear with my license plate before I could even get on the brakes. Thankfully I was going slow and have insurance to cover it. It took me 20 minutes to find my license plate and shove the brake duct and driving light back in place. Doesn't look that bad until I got the damage list. With parts and labor the quote came to almost $4500. At least it stayed below the hood! Truck is in the shop now and should have it back Friday.
  18. was quoted over $4400 to fix the SS after smacking the deer last week - thankful for insurance. get the truck back friday!

How much of the front end are they replacing? Are they painting the whole truck or just the front end?

$4400 would be a bummer with out ins. eh?

  21. I'm a fan of the 870's, most reliable shotgun IMHO for deer i have an 870 magnum with a rifled slug barrel+scope for everything else i have a full camo 870 magnum special purpose - great for birds, skeet, and crashing through the woods without banging a scope. both shoot 2-3/4 or 3", if you need 3-1/2 go super mag!
