  1. I thought the exact same thing! People should just cutout the pic of their SS from Google maps and not post their entire address.
  2. That looks like a sweet project! I have done the same type of swap a number of times. The most notable is my 57' Bel Air that I put a LQ9 6.0L. Here are some suggestions I have that I did on my motor swap. I used a LS2 intake, and upgraded throttle body size to the LS2/LS3 style 90mm (you need a X-link conversion harness to run this), and long tube headers for a start. I used the LS2 intake purely for looks under the hood at car shows and stuff. The front accessory brackets will need some modification to run the car style intake as well. A cam swap will also improve power further, there are tons and tons of posts about cam swaps here just do some searching, as well as magazine articles that outline gains from different cams I think Hot rod has a good article you may look for. Good luck with your swap and welcome to the site!
  3. Yeah that is just a normal silverado with some badges added and lots of stupid stuff done to it!
  4. I think MID12sSSS posted it awhile ago, pretty sure it sold and now is for sale by a different owner but its hard to say.
  5. Hahaha yeah std cab's are fun! I wish I could drive the 69 more but the weather always sucks, with something like that SS clone you could drive it daily and get traction. Next project: 57 Chevy 2dr 6L+AWD....
  6. Hey Justin I've seen that one on craigslist before, doesn't look like it has cladding but still a nice truck and would be a sweet DD! Seems like these trucks sorta hold there own up here price wise, but maybe its just me. Not badly priced considering that...
  7. I say Polished! My parents TBSS has two sets of the factory polished wheels and they are super easy to clean. Pretty much just wash them and they shine!
  8. Haha I'm kinda hanging onto that 122 it just looks cool sitting in a box in my garage! LOL.... I think I need to "test it out" for the winter on my SS then once my other 57 build gets off the ground I can install it on that.
  9. Yeah I saw that on there this morning as well, way over priced for sure!
  10. Yeah your right it really would look sweet under the hood of that car or if/when I build the other 57 project car I have laying around use it on the motor I put together for that! My current 57 needs some rear suspension upgrades such as the triangulated 4 link in my garage installed and a better axle to handle the power before I bolt on a blower! Thanks for all the opinions guys, greatly appreciated!
  11. Sprayed99- Very good point about the belt spacing. It is setup for truck brackets, I think it may have been original on a SSR or TBSS? Anyways my C10 is running corvette accessories so it won't just bolt onto that without changing brackets and heads. In my 57 I'm running the truck accessories so it would be a direct bolt on. It definitely would be a blast to have on my C10 or the 57 there both fairly light. What I could do is use my 317 heads from the SS on the C10 and run the L92's on my SS with a good DD cam.... Ah too many choices hahaha
  12. Haha ya I think it would work great on the SS too! You could definitely go for a ride if I get it on there! You guys are probably right about the trans being built before the motor, what I do have is my original blown up transmission so I could presumably build that one up to have as a spare. Like you said have it on standby for when the one in the truck goes. I'm sure my only motor worry is mainly IATs, fuel delivery and the tune being dead on...
  13. Well I've had this Magnacharger for some time now... I bought it used about 8 months ago or more but while being shipped to AK Fedex broke the jackshaft in half. Anyways that is a long story but I ended up replacing the entire carbon fiber shaft, and front and rear brackets, rear belt, pulleys, fuel rails, cross over fuel pipes, and the fuel block (non return). I also got two new front pulleys 3.2 and 2.8. The rear pulleys are overdriven as well so I installed the 3.2 pulley for now. I also have everything else to install it: large intercooler, bigger water tank, water pump, IAT harness, Deka 60 lb injectors, MAP, belt, knock sensor plate, tensioner and a walbro 255 as a boost pump. Now to my question which vehicle would you install it on if you were me. I've got a 57 Chevy with a LQ9/T56 swapped into it. I have my 69 C10 but it has a LQ9 with L92's so this won't work on that without a head swap and of course my SSS. I am very tempted to install the 122 on the SS because it would be a blast to daily drive... My only concerns with the SS are that its got around 165k on it and I have to wonder how the engine would handle the boost since its getting up there in the miles. I replaced the transmission with lightly used GM 65e about a year ago and it works great not sure how long with the S/C but you never know... Let me know what your guys opinions are on what vehicle to install on or just enjoy the pics! LOL
  14. Looks much better! Now you need some full size pics...
  15. If your truck was a 4x4 or AWD you could definitely sell it up here for what your asking or more possibly. Good luck!
  16. Very nice tonneau cover! That fits the truck perfect!
  17. Unless your super low on fluid that sounds to me like your due for a rebuild. Sounds like you lost some clutches in the trans for sure, mine did a very similar thing when I lost the 3/4 gears.
  18. Welcome back sounds like you had one nice SS! Might be time for another one......? LOL
  19. I think you will enjoy a regular sub and amp much better than the boss all in one unit. I've always been able to find great deals on used stuff on craigslist....
  20. Is 20lb the idle oil pressure? That is a bit on the lower side from what most LS engines run at but possibly still acceptable I would think as long as it rises from there with engine RPM. Keep us updated! BTW- I'm enjoying the parts I bought off your last truck!
