  1. save up 60 bucks and get a kicker CVR 10", cheap and i think youll like it alot better than the comp...ive had both and i can vouch the comps arent that great but not horrible either. and as for the remote start, i have the same one sitting on my desk waiting to be put on the truck so please do a detailed how-to...i dont feel like paying a shop $200+ to install the damn thing! thats just crazy. good lookin box you built too

Cool I'll do a how-to on the remote start install tomorrow sometime and what interface module and ignition harness I used. As far as the sub I think I'll do like you say and save some cash for a better one later....

  2. I added some stuff to the SS this weekend so guess my trucks not 100% stock anymore.

To start it off I built a custom under the seat ported box for a 10" sub. I put in a Kicker comp 10" and powered it with a Alpine MRP-M500 (mono 500 watts). Sounds decent for my taste but the sub could be a lot better....

The second thing I installed was a Viper 5901 Remote start system. I did the install myself because I've gotten really good at installing them from doing installs on a lot of other trucks. (Maybe I'll make a how-to? It's really easy...)

    Here's some pics:

  3. My pet peeve (of the moment) - crappy web forum software that stalls and gives you a few 500 errors a day.

    Agreed :jester:

Some of mine are once you perfectly clean your interior and someone gets in and gets dirt all over the entire mat when they could of just left their feet in one spot minimizing the dirt.

Also I hate it when huge semi trucks get in the fast lane and proceed to go 55 in a 65, when they should be in the slow lane.

When you shine you tires and you drive on a muddy or dusty road and they get completely dirty.

Door Dings, and rock chips (mostly worried about my c-10 its perfect and chips easy)

Parking in the middle of no where in a parking lot and then having someone park right next to you.

Theres some more but I cant think of them right now.....

  4. Whoa i didn't even think anyone checked this anymore so i stopped. I was always on campus last semester, usually in the RH parking lot as well. I've seen a couple blue SS's there, and I always saw Fast's Vmax in the way back where i always parked haha. Most of my classes are at the university center now so I wont be on campus very often. I got new plates that say "XSSV" so if you see me, honk n wave! Everyone else up here seem to be pricks haha

@haul@ss Hey pretty sure I saw you today at old seward and o'malley, I was turning right on to o'malley off old seward. Your truck looks good!

Also nice to meet you AK04SS and thanks for the deal on the sub preamp thing for the stock radio, got it installed today behind the radio and ran the wires but I've still got to hook up the main power wires and build a box. Haven't had the time to hook anything up to it yet. See you guys around! :chevy:

  5. I also found the part number for the front mudflaps with the Dale Earnhardt #3 if anyone is interested

    Front- 12496983

    Rears-12496983

Matt truck is looking real sharp, I made the comment on youtube the other day about the windshield. :chevy:

Thanks, I was wondering if it was someone from here since you asked about the windshield lol.
