I know how you feel this exact same thing has happened to me before to (not on the ss luckily), my 2000 gmc's front bumper got a chunk taken out by a trailer and my truck before that's front grill got hit in a parking lot taking out the marker light and grill corner. All were hit and runs.

What "fuse box" did they replace; the one under the hood or the one in the dash? Can you post the part number here?
I should have said which one in my other post but, they replaced the under dash fuse box part # 15266954. They said the old one had an open in it.

Thought I would update this since I finally gave up and just took it to the dealer. Anyway they still found the problem to be the fuse box so I went ahead and told them to replace that. Just picked it up this afternoon and everything is back to normal and seems to be working good. I can set any temperature and it goes to it, and I can switch between defrost and vents, ect. So far so good, replacing the fuse box in my case fixed the problem!

nice score...that was a great price
The score was added to today when I finally picked up the center caps almost a month later lol. The problem is 3 of the caps have red chevy logos and two are original and have black logos. So maybe I'll just have red bowties on one side and black on the other!

do you guys know anywhere in town that'll put new cats in for me? my rattle noise is the passenger side cat.
Cool that you found your problem was just the cat probably a lot cheaper than changing a flywheel! It's funny your passenger side cat went bad to, because my passenger side cat was replaced right before I bought my truck. I'm not really sure about where to take it to get it changed though. I know on mine when they replaced it they changed the entire passenger side pipe from the header, to the muffler connection and they had the stealership do it in california, that must have been super expensive!

My SS was used on a farm in California before I bought it although they never used it for towing just hauling stuff in the bed. I've towed some stuff with mine (not heavy) and it worked great! Nice pull!
