  1. Very glad to hear someone up here is finally getting one! There is definitely a market for one since there are so many AWD cars and trucks around up here. I think this is the place that is getting it? LINK
  2. I had an original Delco battery that I removed from another 2003 Silverado I had and it lasted up until about a month ago, I used it for a number of years in my 1969 C10. Worked good up until a couple months ago it started getting weak and now nothing will revive it. My SS had a replacement battery when I bought it so who knows what happened to the original.
  3. I've done a number of different exhaust systems, although my SS remains stock lol, on my 57 I did from the headers back, along with another car too. I bought mandrel 180 degree aluminized bends and straight pipe lengths and the mufflers and cut and fit as needed. Worked out great in both cases just time consuming. Since you already have experience I would say go for it, it would be easy since the factory pipe going to the muffler on the SS is great just do whatever you want from there back.
  4. I doubt programming it for the wrong radio type would fry your amp, most likely you just wouldn't get sound is my best guess. Maybe go back and ask about what type of radio they programmed it for?
  5. Yep mine was doing similar things and both driver side elements where completely shorted out inside the seat.
  6. The only way I know how to set the run time is with the Bitwritter programmer my friend bought, since between all of us I think we have 4 of these systems. Not sure how to de activate the factory alarm/horn, maybe try going through the settings on the gauge cluster on the truck and see if there is a setting for alarm warnings. I kinda remeber that there might be something in there that you can change it to just flashing lights vs. horn.
  7. Yeah have it repositioned or add extra sensors if that's possible, I don't have any experience with that bypass but it might do the same thing as the one I'm talking about does you'll just have to see. That's kinda a weird place to put the module but I guess it works.
  8. The shop already installed a bypass module so check it out and see if your seats turn on when the truck is cold, or open up the under dash and see what module you have. As far as the shock sensitivity, I have the 5901 and its programmed though the remote since the shock sensor is built into the main remote start box but the 5704 is external so I think that's why you can't change the settings but I'm not 100% sure on that.
  9. It wouldn't hurt to bleed them when I changed my front calipers the fluid was super black and nasty and after the new calipers where installed and bled the brakes no longer have that spongy soft feeling like they used to have. Weather that was the calipers that fixed it or the bleeding I don't know but its worth a try.
  10. The heated seat turn on is usually automatically controlled though the bypass module that communicates with the trucks computer. Thats the only way I have figured out how to set it up on the trucks I've installed Vipers on. I use the DLPKGM module, it will turn them on when it senses that the temp is below 32 degrees or somewhere in that range. The sensor adjustment is on the sensor itself there should be a set screw, also it is programmable with the Bitwriter programer that the shop has. I just borrowed my friends bitwriter and changed the run time to 20 minutes on my truck. As far as I know it is not possible to select a temperature to turn on the heated seat or defrost its more of an automatic thing that the module determines from the engine temp and air temp. Thats how I understand it.
  11. Mine turn on with the remote start when it is below 32 degrees, they are automatically controlled via the data-bypass module by DEI called the DLPKGM. It controls them though the trucks computer. When they are on they only go to the low heat setting but it still helps!
  12. I usually hear of people deleting the whipple fuel system and running bigger injectors in the intake. Like the 8.1L marine 42lb ones. Maybe look into that setup.
  13. L92 setup is a good one but I think he is running a Magnacharger so that wouldn't be a good swap to do. I think you will be better off with the 317's...
  14. The stock one should slip right onto the 90mm throttle body. I've used a stock truck intake tube on a LS2 intake and 90mm TB and it worked so I can't see why you couldn't use it on your setup.
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself, I'm using the GMOS-04 as well and it sounds great and I'm using a PAC steering wheel control adapter but I forgot which one.
  16. Sorry to hear about your truck, I like the looks of that one in Mt. View, CA looks like a great deal! I had been looking at that one earlier this week.
  17. Ss left me in the side of the road when the waterpump siezed up and the belt broke... Couldnt believe it!

  18. ^^^ I agree and that bolt is a 13mm, you need a long extension to reach it usually.
  19. Did the engine die? Sounds like you lost the alternator on your truck, aka it wasn't charging the battery and the battery went dead while you where driving. I'm sure your breaks are fine you just need to replace the alternator and charge the battery and it should be good to go. At least from the sounds of it thats what happened.
  20. Wow 26K seems way way too high for an 03, unless you had like super low miles on your truck? But dang thats high!

Very nice and great times!! What all is done to the truck?
  22. Wow that is really bad..... Even chrome windshield wipers? Come on.....
  23. Wow that looks pretty bad sorry to hear. Also would towing it with that kind of tow truck mess up the transfer case? I would think that having the rear wheels spin with the fronts up on the lift would definitely mess up something in there, maybe I'm wrong though....
  24. A good upgrade is the 2007+ NNBS front brake setup, just ask the Rotors, Calipers and Mounting brackets for a 2007 Tahoe. They are 13" vs the stock 12". I did the upgrade on my truck and it stops great.
