  2. Saw some on a local CL if you want me to check em out.
  3. Lol! Yeah. I might have to make a bracket for it if I get any lip at tech inspection.
  4. I asked Steve what was the price to reset my odometer while he's in there.... He said "only a few years in prison".
  5. Well, it looks just like any of the ones you can buy... But I can't help but think it looks like a little flower in my engine bay..... Maybe I should get a manly one like this. Looks a little less ricer... Idk. What do you guys think?

I've read their install instructions a few times. Seems easy enough. Just curious what your experience was.
  7. I've seen countless FPRs mounted on the firewall. That's the perfect place for it. Maybe not right behind the engine like mine.... But So where do they want it mounted? On the engine itself so I can expose it to lots of heat??? Weird...
  8. Not bad... Ill probably just pry the controls out and replace them that way. I just got a TBSS wheel not too long ago.

Did you ever pin your crank with the IW kit? Was it pretty simple? It looks painless. I gotta do that yet. Ive got the old pins in there still from the stock crank pulley. Probably do that while the bumper/coolers are tore off my truck so its a straight shot at the crank. Should have done it when it was on the engine stand. Oh well.
  10. I'll need new controls too. The paint is worn on a few and I don't want light shining through.

Gorgeous.... Can't wait to see how she moves now. So, the gearing was to help you get out of the hole faster? Excited to see the results.
  12. Lol! I was the same way. Had that cart saved for a long time. $20 a fitting and $200 or so in lines... Adds up fast. Took me weeks to press the buy button And I'm STILL buying fuel parts. Haha. Probably creeping past $1500 in fuel parts.. Oh well. Gotta have it.
  13. You work at a dodge dealership?
  14. Thanks homie! Ordered up a Fuelab filter for myself and justin. His black, mine blue. Also ordered some more -6 to finish my fuel system and the fittings to plumb my steam vent hoses for the heads. I REALLY hope my converter shows up this week. Sure would be nice to put that trans in this weekend. I was wanting to have that in weeks ago. Oh well.
  15. Sent Steve a text yesterday. Gonna get mine done this next month I think. Something ive always wanted to get done. The blue needle/white LED combo looks awesome. Also curious if I can send out all my switches for LED swap... This would save me the hassle
  16. They make injector spacers too. Its what id have to use if I installed the plenum spacer in my blower. They plug onto the injector and have o-rings on both sides to make the injector taller. That should solve your problem. Or if you need injectors anyway, they sell those taller too.
  17. I decided on the Fuelab 85081. It can flow more fuel than you'd ever need, and has the built in check valve option. That way, when I turn the truck off, it keeps line pressure. The fuel won't leak back into the tank and fill the lines with fumes. This'll aid in better start ups and probably less fuel smell when it's parked. And, it comes in anodized blue
  18. Did some research on installing my RX monster catch can. I needed a filtered oil cap for the fresh intake side. I see them go from $35-$75. Decided to make my own for $10. Picked up a little filter, used a 7/8" holesaw on my factory oil cap, lubed it up with some high heat-clear silicone, and plugged it in! Took 5minutes.. Still sitting in the vise until the silicone sets up.. Ill post another pic when its done and installed.
  19. Well, no big updates on the truck, but I had a good weekend in Anchorage! Got to see Matts shop! His operation is very impressive. Lots of sweet projects going on around there. A hotrod speed boat w/ a custom wrap and LS3 swap, as well as a Quadrasteer tow-truck build that may see a blown 454LSX and custom paint to match the boat... If we ask him nicely, maybe he'll keep us updated. Was digging through some stuff and found my original dealership repair manuals for the SS. All 5 volumes. Also found my original window sticker.. Gonna iron it out a little and get it laminated to put in my windshield for car shows. Kinda excited to see I still had it. Its near impossible to get another.

Yeah. It's gonna be fast. The e85 being the biggest improvement. And of course the boost. Can't wait to see the results!
  22. Found some more pics. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/84130-new-speedsturr-and-shaved-tailgate/page-1 Hmm.. Mine looks a little different. But same idea.
  23. i must have gotten the cool guy discount. No bed stakes used at all. It's like a C clamp style with hinges and shocks. Works just like the hinges on your hood. Real sturdy. I don't think i have any pics of the mounting system. Maybe Google x2000 tonneau mounting system. No holes need to be drilled or anything. You couldn't ask for a better tonneau.
  24. I bought mine directly from Gaylord. I dealt with Kris. He was great to deal with. I think they're about $900 and you can order them already painted. So you just bolt it on and your done. However, mine had to travel to Alaska, and I didn't want the paint messed up. So I had it shipped unpainted and had it painted when it arrived. Was like $600 in shipping But awesome build quality. Just specify the truck, the speedsturr wing, and the x2000 mounting system. It locks and is a great tonneau. Highly recommend it. Some pics after it was put on. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/84406-pics-of-my-ss-as-it-sits/
