  1. Haha yeah. It's already been a year. I wasn't able to enjoy it at all last summer, and the one before that I maybe put 400mi on it as I was too busy swapping out broken transmissions... This'll be the one. Gonna make sure it's ready to rock when the snow melts so I can enjoy my investment and hardwork. Can't wait to get it out and go to cruises, and car shows, and see what it'll do at the track. Thanks Eddie.
  2. Yeah.... The AN stuff adds up quick.. Like $25 for each fitting and $100 for 25' of line. I think I've got $1500 or so into the fuel system. But atleast Ill never have to touch it again. It'll support any motor my truck will ever see in its lifetime.
  3. Did you have to cut about 1/16" off the threads of the front trans cooler fitting? I read a few reviews that others had to. I also had to. It's got more threads than the factory fitting. Little trim and it was good to go. I also got another 20' of -6 for cooler lines too. I think I'm gonna pick up some AN wrenches this next week off the tool truck so I can return yours.
  4. Also got the crossmember all painted up. My converter is schedule to show up Wednesday. So maybe I'll get around to putting the trans in this next weekend.
  5. Got a few new parts in. Some 8" fans for the fluidyne, my alt bracket, Hobbs switch, and some fittings. Gotta do some cutting on the bottom and get these mounted up New slip fitting for my return to the pump Also painted the trans and T case. Should stay cleaner with a layer of paint.
  6. I think you need a C notch to install helpers with a 3/4? There is hardly any suspension travel at all before bottoming out. I don't see fitting helpers back there unless the frame is notched but I don't know for sure. Id be one stiff ride to inflate bags to hold the frame off the axle when there's only 3" or so of travel. I plan on doing the C notch and bags at the same time at the shop. Tony sells a badass bolt in kit for pretty reasonable price
  7. And in my case, I don't have a shop near by that will touch aluminum driveshafts... But I prefer steel anyways.
  8. Thanks for the reply Matt. Yeah I ordered the low alternator mount from dirty dingo and an LS1 alternator. SHOULD do the trick. If not, I may have to do some grinding or worse relocate it. But im pretty confident I can make this work. Itll be nice to finally put the accessory drive behind me. I also ordered my Precision 2800 Multi Disc converter.. $1079 later.. . But that means ill have everything needed to put the trans/transfer case on when it arrives! Still dickin around with the fuel system though. Summit screwed me and sent the wrong fittings for my return line, so now im waiting on the right ones to finish things up. Ill post some pics of my progress once I start getting things done. Hopefully gonna get some more done this weekend. Ill try to squeeze in some time for the truck. The family wants to see a hockey game tonight, tomorrows valentines day, and since we have a heat wave coming through right now, my dad and I wanna get our sleds out to the mountains while we can. I haven't even roped mine over this winter yet. We don't have enough snow, then we finally get enough snow and its way too cold to ride... Anyway, ill keep you guys posted. Oh, and I was looking back at the first page.. Haha. Itll be 1 year next month!!! That's how long ive been procrastinating.
  9. Steel is stronger. When you do an 80 swap, it's usually because the 65 won't take the power you're producing. Why would you want a big badass trans, then aluminum driveshafts? Steel won't shear open like a soda can when you're putting huge power to the ground.
  10. Hmm $750 for driveshafts? I haven't gotten a quote yet to get mine built.. That's what they cost?? Are those prices "shipped"?

Sweet baby Jesus... Haha. I can't wait until stage 3. I think new heads on that setup will yield incredible gains. Keep up the good work. When do the calipers show up?

That's strange about the gears. So are you gonna return the ones you bought already? I'm sure you'll be 11.5 or faster. I've seen truck do it on what seems like a lot less. So, why did you have to take the TPIS off? You had it on already at one point right?
  13. I know right... You, Harley... All the badass trucks have stripes.
  14. It'll be quite a bit louder with longtubes. I've got a similar exhaust set up. American Racing longtubes, and corsa sport. Mine was obnoxiously loud with gutted cats so I put in 2 bullet resonators (one on each midpipe). It's pretty tame now while cruising. No drone whatsoever. Idle sounds great too. It's still extremely loud at wide open, but in a good way. I say go for it, and if it's too loud, swap your corsa sport with a corsa touring, and sell the sport to me. ;) Mines getting old. You will probably be ok with catted midpipes. They'll help a lot.
  15. YOU HAVE RACING STRIPES?!?!?! Well why didn't you say so?! Damn right you beat em! He didn't stand a chance!

Yeah. Hell, justin ran ~14psi in his stock block for years. You'll be fine if your tune is spot on. Zippy will keep you safe. Very excited to see how this moves out when you're done. You seem to have all the right parts to get the job done, and then some. Thing looks mean and has the muscle to back it up. Great job so far Randy. We're all so proud of you.

You're going to be dangerous on e85. Haha as if you weren't fast enough (no such thing) How much boost do you plan to run? Your bottom end is still stock right?
  18. Bring a GoPro to the rematch. Would be interesting to see
  19. But good kill anyway... I guess?
  20. Lol if it wasn't a fair race, not much to be proud of. But if it was, something was wrong with his ride. That car could hang with the most radical of street trucks and would have smoked a stock truck

    The Storm

    Oh I wouldn't doubt it. That's a sweet system.

BALLER!!! That's pretty sweet! They sell a pre built bucket and everything huh? What's that canister in the 6th pic? Filter? What psi Hobbs switch you get?
  23. Hmm. Well, I'm not a procharger guy, but I do know the accessory drives are the same. I imagine it'll swap right over. Depending on if the intakes are different, you may need to tweak the piping. Is it cooled at all? Air to Air? Injector size depends the amount of boost you plan to run, E85 or no? And if youre going to do a fuel pump upgrade as well. If you just want to bolt it on, and get 6-8psi or so, 60# injectors will do the trick just fine. Maybe get a 255lph boost-a-pump installed as well.
  24. Haha let's all just pack up and move to Florida. It'll be the official SSS state
