  1. The AWD launch is too quick!! I want againts a tuned one last wednesday and I had about the samw results, about 1 car length, but when you brake stall WOW it just shot out of the hole people look but dont know about the LS2 powered TrailBlazer!
  2. BB gun vs. real gun-you lose. I just took a bb gun from my nephew b/c he was not taking care of it and his friends shot my truck...so before you go shooting at your SSS to get a cat off the roof remember that things shot fall due to gravity and could possibly hit your truck... dont be too dumb...anybody see 'snatch' where the guys says to the robbers holding him up that he is not scared b/c he can see the word R-E_P_L_I_C_A down the side of his gun...
  3. the resonator is the extra material on the intake tube-stock, some call them nut sacks:) the evidence is on the like w/the ISO test or the BMW guy who used a leaf blower to check them, the ISO one show the AC DELCO one was the best at flow and at filtering...I was sceptical but the tests were good enough for me and they were from groups of guys like us that want all the power from their cars...some of the other links I found were just from those pages linked to others...and the one I did not read but found was the test performed by SAE...and their results were the same as thre ISO test...K&N flows less air and more dirt:(

    5th wheels

I think it is the tires or the 20's are not up to it. air bags and some load rated wheels/tires and you should be fine unless you have changed your Torque converter
  5. CAM advise for all trucks, IE turbo, supercharged, and espically NA and stroker cams.
  6. the best test of different filter media look at this, I might go @ lunch to buy a new paper filter and I might be selling my volant I just bought more...ISO 5011 Test results ISO 5011 airfilter test
  7. my AWD way about 281 w/a tune so that seems right with a 2WD.
  8. it should be exactly like the duramax post, I have not heard about anyone using anyother info for the conversion execpt for those sites I mentioned b4...goto the gm-trucks.com and the radio section and search there and will be a bunch of the same questions w answers..
  9. did you do the tb bypass mod?? if so I have read that there are problems when this mod is done in the cold weather, but I would assume that the alum needs some heat to keep its tolerances so if it is not hot enought it might get stuck, but that is an uneducated guess you have not been around in a while, glad you still come around
  10. do you have a shift kit? Mine seems to do this between 1st and second but varied depending on how much throttle, I have had zippy check it out and he said it looked good but I think that I could use a new vlave body or bigger seperator plate which is a PITA to change... if you are on a stock trans you should add a kit while it is getting looked at? and what the hell does your signature say WTF
  11. I paid under $200 for mine used, and still going strong. keep in mind that the TBTC is a big mod in terms of how much stuff is pulled off the truck, it took us (read "me watching") a long time (12hours at least) might be a better idea to get it in before the event so you could just worry about tuning it at the event you will enjoy the difference it makes the truck feel so much responsive.
  12. yea, I did not find them it was Dylan I think, but the truth is that we dont really know about how much these mods will gain(HP) or lose ($$) unless we attack these mods like we are engineers and are trying to find out what works the best...so far I think I got the better volant with the resignator, new tube dont have it and I will continue to hook it up to my stock box and then add the ram air tube, I might cut up my K&N and put it in the scoop hole to deflect some of the extra dirt???? I am going to put my stock paper filter back in, better safe than sorry.
  13. got my volant kit and some brake decals, very happy. The TBSS decals look good! thanks again joe
  14. is that the stock box and tube w/air flow meter??? Does it include the stock filter???
  15. Was out at the truck this morning before work trying to put my intake tube on and got me thinking.. 1. Does the intake tube need the resignator? YEs it helps force the air in 2. Does a cone filter work better than a panel filter? which led to does a stock filter perform better than stock filter element? K&N destroys engines other good info I'll keep you posted on the results.
  16. if they did a shift improvement in the PCM (ie firm up the line pressure) you will want that removed before you do anything in the trans or you will hurt your trans, do you have a stock PCM/Tune you could use in the mean time?? I had my shift kit and TB TC for a while with no tune/stock and it was ok but when the tune matches the kit-wow Send your PCM back for a reflash and then get working on your kit then by the time the PCM has returned your shift kit will be in...
  17. how did the Kenne Bell do against the C6?? I bet he was surprised at this heavy truck handing them their ass
  18. I have one ,it is a small version of the 23. I like it cause you can put it in your back pocket, nice carry gunn with plenty of stopping power. that military 1911 is sweet, I have been wanting a 1911 but was thinking rifle first
  19. I was very impressed with the effort it took to load an SSS onto the rollers. no small effort, it was so close to being too big so you HAD to know what you are doning somewhat to get it on in the first place. Second the weight is important to how much it loads the car, if he put in the wrong value you could get screwed there and last the hook up was propably (hopefully) an o2 sensor to make sure he did not run lean. and last when I was getting dyno'd zippy had to put in a special dyno run program to make sure we did not go into OD so the tune was changed to get the most power, which is another area where it could have been dyno operator error...I did not notice how long you had the radix on I would what to see a wideband #'s while you are driving
  20. becareful you dont want anything bad to happen to your engine. you should get some more info and who everput it in should be accuntable if they did any harm loading it on the dyno and not checking if it was getting enought fuel while doing the run and not trying to max out if it is not right keep on it, the radix really likes tweaking to get it just right.
  21. I would say fake, espically if they want to pay any extra or pat out before the check actually clears, take it to the bank and tell them you question it.

    birthday

I already have a new intake coming (soon I hope) PCM tune 160 Tstat TB TC Shift Kit Trans cooler So give me some Ideas of affordable truck gifts??
  23. with an SSS infront of you too, they should have raced
  24. summit 03 160 tstat be cool model BCI-78012-59.95 I guess it was kind of high. That is very interesting about the tuning issues with consistent temps, what would them temp do?? Bounce around or just change alot based on the ambient temps??? I am not engineer and I want to know is it worth it? and am I hurting anything in the long run, or just messing up my tune
