  1. if you read the ad he says its missing hardware too...I would hold out for a radix. I think there is potential its just alot of work to do all the mods necessary and they will be alot of one off stuff.
  2. I bought mine b/c I drove a Ford first the comfort is great, the room will fit most families, the build(AWD, cladding, made out of house...) the Look with wheels and stance is in line with the 94-96 impala for damn close out of the box... if Darth vader had a truck it would be a SSS!
  3. call Frank @ Rev race works. stand up guy, procharger dealer, and will get you set up good.
  4. that sucks. I know how bad it can be w/o the right tools. Living in Detroit, I have been cleaned out a few times, the last time it ended up with me going thru a house while the police held the guy and I grabbed my stuff and he got charged for a gun they found...it was so bad they took my wood stove but if you dropped a awd trans after losing your tools, you sir are the MAN! edit: HA I am in the garage now and am looking at my jack, W4...its the fourth jack I have had since W1 that was a craftsman alum one, w2 another alum, W3 got a cheaper steel one, W4 is steel SUV craftsman. LOL lost track of all the donations I have made to the hood
  5. I feel the same way about HPT sometimes...espically when you are just starting out, very frustrating. I hear you on values for the 42's....I know they are out there, the new camaro 42's have all the data too. IMO I see e85 becmoming a 'mod' for the older guys and having alot of room in the injector will be needed and not avaliable with the 42's would love to see an non innercooled, E85 and meth turbo truck...
  6. dude exactly! they dont know some names you cant just throw out there and IMO ZL1 and camaro is one of those...if it was the race pack like ford and dodge has , with a big NA motor then ZL-1 is deserved. call me a purist
  7. I thought I read somewhere that there is a fix for the TC. and upon rebuild this kit can be added to prevent the egging of the case??? I would get a good rebuild before I go a remanned, the most of the cost is dropping the danm thing and you dont want to do that twice.
  8. Thats just the advise I got on the HPT fourm reguarding injectors. The first step in having a good tune is having the correct values for all the different tables. All else relies on the injector data. SO while I myself am running 42's with values that I trust, they are by no means as good as a set that has all of those values, and if you try to 'ask' for them you will get a pretty common response, "Buy Greg's CD" These are mod's so you will keep modding and changin so hainvg some room with your injectors is a pretty good idea, in my case 42 work, but I cannot use them for anything else, they will be to small. So if I had to do it again I would shoot for 60's AND not use wiring harness or spacer....I end up at re-flowing what I have and @ $50 ea I dont think its that bad of a deal. the injector data CD costs like $400?? Start looking for injector values with the 42's and it will drive you nuts how much variance there is, I read that if you post a tune with the values from the CD, they change the injector settings so guys cant get them for free... If you want support I would buy them thur FIC.
  9. http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/shop/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=72 I cant find the price, but it was maybe half of new injectors. so my 42's can become 60's (or actually more) with out having to buy new and sell my old. I would contact them, it just might not be onthe web page...make sure to tell them you want all the tuning values sent, injector offsets....
  10. I dont think the downstream O2's will change anything...I would send them back, since you have them turned off anyway. They only function to protect the cats anyway. I was reading a post on PT.net that sounded similar: http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/showthread.php?t=476729 might be able to get some direction from that thread.
  11. so glad you get to push it, Rick's last twin truck did not get to put down any numbers...and yours are getting faster
  12. 18 w blower less w/o trade in is a joke. i think black book might be $8k
  13. DIY, the main place that does them gets hit or miss reports. It is a rebuild that I think you could do if you are a wrencher....adding the better wheel while at it.
  14. I would look into re flowing your stockers....they will get you the 60lbs and have all the correct data for your tune, marine 42's dont really have the support in the tuning world to have a good set of injector values. I want to run some E85 one day
  15. hang in there. get better soon.
  16. titanium....wow and wow. pretty cool
  17. why are you changing the turbo's?? spool? back pressure? I am guessing a bigger exhaust side?making me think a T4 on a single is too small?
  18. Ported 317's or 243's I think you can find an intake that is 90mm that will fit the cathederal heads. the L92 route is good too, but will take a few mmore parts.
  19. http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/showthread.php?t=469973&highlight=hd+tensioner+bracket there is more info on that site about using the HD tensioer than over here IMO. Let me know if you need me to search some more.
  20. what about the missle baloons? you tie them to the back of your truck and they are heat seaking
  21. good to hear jon. except selling the sss part
  22. look for a different pump. walbro's have been know to fail. Denso's flow more fuel.
  23. WHAT?? Could you edit your post to have a topic??
  24. your SSS was tits, how much did you get? I cant flame you, its your ride
  25. BUT there is a new HP truck( I cannot revile my sources, but com'on I live in DETROIT). they have it together, I'm pretty sure its not black as it sits now, same lines as the SS. I never heard if it made it out of what ever exec they show'd it to...and all the Perforkmance Dept stuff is SLOW while GM was restructured. BUT watch for the Z28, it will be a good barometer for the release of a new super sport truck. Notto mention they do them near the end of a body style so the 2008-up NNNBS or whatever is due.
