  1. during deer season, one guy usually leaves with real ones on his truck, he probably wont find them till he gets home
  2. inch pounds...not feet pounds dont over tighten
  3. its raining! and I am bored as heck

  4. and if your FI is turbo then I would say NO. I run them, and they are nice. But I think the 6.o could use the bigger primaries and collectors. If I was not so turbo inclined I would have looked into the ARH's
  5. If I wanted to get a time what tuning suggestions do you use at the track? I am happy with my VE table, so I am guessing my fuel is in line and my PE value got me the AFR that was commanded. So What type of tunes do you throw in at the track? what type of changes? Is there any safety parts of my tune that are deactivated for tuning?? should I lower my PE to less %TPS? Do I need to mess with my knock settings? I was looking thru stuff yesterday and was wondering if my idle logs are worng b/c I dont have the idle adapts all set to zero...
  6. there is a big street art show in LA now and some of the biggest names in street art/grafitti have been in town...I am addicted to it

someone here was playing with the fan contreller....maybe it was Danny?? Sprayed99
  8. is that KBracings old KenneBell? I am going to guess you went this route to just be different
  9. thats a lot of post! congrats
  10. it was like a 12pack of no2 bottles! sorry but fake!
  11. BUMP if you are not interested in a for-sale item, please do not post.
  12. my trims are off, if you look in the log those histos are empty. Yes, 42 marines, I know, I need better values for these....frustrating, but I might just have to get 60's and some pump and play e85/FI with what I did yesterday logging the cold start P and Gear, and putting that in the Baseair flow with the new scalar, the truck was running a lot better, I think it only stalled once, I was happy with it. I will need to turn the trims back on and tune from there, but am lost. kind of happy that I feel like I am making progress with it in SD
  13. here is the from cold in gear and the config from that I put it into the tune and extrapolated the values that were colder and smotthed the hotter values. baseairnewsclagear.hpl Idle-Airflow.cfg
  14. i did a cold start in Gear last night. will post the log but only got values from 111 degrees to 196 I don't get it my truck will only warm up to like high 180's, and I don't see the fan kick on?? on the controls it would turn green if its commanded on?? or do I need to click it to red so it will not come on? I am going to throw that in the Baseairflow and she if I can tell if its a change. when you do the lower RPMS at you stopped/at idle or are you getting that error while driving?? sounds like you do this sitting lite the idle logging. I do have the config with idle adapt(STIT). I found a spread sheet on HPT with the value for the scalar....unfortunately its not what you posted I really like these statements about hard set points....a lot of tuning is knowing what these need to be set at, not guessing. and I know when I am guessing if the scanner gives me the valuers I am not guessing. will try to get that log up.
  15. my cam is not that big. the truck is dying at a stop, so I am guessing it needs the baseairflow done again. it does not hunt for the idle, it just drops.
  16. I am lost with how to clooect data that helps give the new scalar value?? I found what DrX and Redheadsupra have posted, and used the value that was used for the truck 87mm TB. I dont see the PID for STIT?? anyway put the new scalar in, and did a log. truck was not happy at idle LOL So I bet my baseairflow id off now, so I will log the airflow again when the truck cools off. I dont leave my laptop or tuners cable in the truck when I am at work...better safe, so I am on my truck computer, at work and gonna post a few logs and my last tune....I used to worry about sharing someone else's tune but know what I know, its not gonna help to just have a 'tune' you need to know how to work it So Here is this morning's newest tune, log, and the config I use. and an older Log. newestwithVEchangeslowRPM4.hpt hot1scalar.hpl Zippy truck imperial.cfg back3.hpl

    Raced A Ram

the dodge trucks are nice and decent fast, but no where the support as the GM family. I went to the track with a guy with a brand new one and he was running low 14's, bought the 'boxed tuner' and lost time...he was so pissed he pulled it off the truck and stopped running.
  18. looking at the ETC scalar it's stock, or what is was for the 78mm TB (0.0205), I am going to change it(0.0170), and go over the VE and idle again. BUT its f'n 100 here today so I think my tuning is going to be limited till it cools down a little. especially getting a good temp range in my idle logging How much do you think temp plays when tuning? Will super high temps skew the tuing session?
  19. I was readin on their forum that they are bending thier frames when they hit multiple bumps and load the suspension or heat the shocks...and some are not the 'good' ones with the hurricane motor in it, they are just tuned 5.4's in the first year ones. Guys are buying them and sending them stright to the local perf shop to 1. procharge 2nd was getting turbo's. Would like to see an eco boost one.
  20. two more drives and I think my VE is good, under 5 for all/most values. SO Iam guessing I am ready for the next step?? I need to do some WOT logging and see if I need to change the VE at WOT. I have been meaning to post my last log and tune, but I usuallt plug the laptop in and fall asleep
  21. The delays need to lowered, on the stock tune they are set up stupid and kill these truck power. I think my delays are zero'd out and my PE will come in with any Throttle position above 90%. I might lower it a few more RPM's (when I am at WOT but not touching the gorund it might only be 93%)

    Hpt Problem

you might get a prompt if you are NOT running explorer asking if you want to default back.
  23. must be going in the right direction if you are using more fuel. free bump
  24. threw two tunes in last night and I think I am close. what I did was to copy the 800rpm row of my VE to my 400rpm, then did drive to see. Most of the surging is gone. I am going to continue to dial it in as I seem to be over this hump. Gonna put the last log into another VE update but I am happy again. I think it was getting some very different values when it dropped low in the RPMS, now that they are closer I can feel it is not so bad.
  25. Thanks Ray for destroying so many power tools in bringing the 'spacer' to market
