  1. I would look twice at efi....I know I have HPT but spend some time on the efi forum and see how the 'community' is, HPT forum is a funny place
  2. :withstupid: exactly. I have had mine for over a year and am still very wet behind my ears about tuning. I have used it many times to pull codes using just the scanner. for that alone I would buy it again. you can read on the HPT forum before you buy the software, but untill you start getting the hang of where certain tabs are it will not be as meaningful if you actually have the program. Find a mentor! There are some good ones here, but the best is someone local...who can talk you thru doing a few things on your own
  3. badass. I saw/heard one the other day and they sound mean as hell. I bet 99% of us would do the exact same thing, stepping up from the sss! anyone wanna wager on how long before we hear some talk of 'twins' :)

    Nitrous Times!

thats sweet. sometimes I wonder if you forget how nice your own projects are bc you are looking at them all the time and still trying to make it even better.
  5. too much. guy sold his with a RADIX for that dealership gave another guy 14 for a trade so I would keep looking
  6. where are you located? I am looking for an old stock exhaust, but dont want to ship it.

  8. might hit the VE table again after you have changed all the above, with the change in the airflow.
  9. one of those I feel so stalkerish he used to post alot of theory on generating VE tables. Link to his stuff http://www.marcintology.com/tuning I know he has a blog too with some other tuning stuff. I am not psycho, I just like to find good mentors.
  10. I did my build with this in mind. I came out ahead in cost and I think I have the times too. A maxed out 112, no! but damn close. And just as Kevin said you have to pay, the key is to only pay once. so make a goal, make a plan to reach your goal, do your homework and then follow the plan/budget, then get to the track and test!
  11. a CTS v built by livernois (perf shop near me) just went 10.7 some of these mods are not needed to have a strong 11sec ride. The only thing that really sucks is the value of the SSS is really in the shitter with gas as expensive as it is...actually got me thinking it would be easier to keep the SSS and just try to save for a new ride...
  12. got it. redheadsupra. JFYI, guys who do goto the HPT fourm...if you are getting help from screen name 'google' you are getting some great help from (IMO) a person who really understands tuning. For those learning this is a good little bit of info.
  13. those brackets are sexy! look awsome.
  14. the truck one is ugly and (I believe) looks like a TBSS one.
  15. 1. these are bigger than the GEN IV truck TB?? 87 vs 90 ? 2. these are preferred to the truck ones because of the stronger spring? and dont suck shut?? I am interested...in the meantime I am going to see if I can dig up these answers or if anyone else knows????
  16. You need your mods listed in a sig
  17. I know its small town...went to school with Jaye.... us131 is in Martin, just south of you, nice track
  18. I am happy as hell you and your truck are putting down some serious times!!! totally proving we are still maxing out LQ9's, and should give guys inspiration, me for one I can tell you have gotten much further in the tuning learning curve, very cool.
  19. yea I saw that post Brad, I am reading them some good information you and Kevin are giving. So I guess my 42's need to become green tops
  20. anyone have a link to a good streamer? so I can watch from work
  21. again Brad...spill the beans 500HP. Awesome.
  22. are those 17's? Brad shot me an update on whats up with the truck, sounds like you were busy this winter and you are still on your 42's? wow, not as worried about them /being enough/working with the times I have run. I bet the jaws dropped at the track when you were lining up.
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQtiMbKvV7g here you go. heat.
  24. yep, your case was probably shot, and the seal was only a band-aid for the fluid, but not for the warped case half...sorry dude, but when this unit get fixed, make sure they replace the case half, or address the wear of the case...
