If the motor has been maintained, it has many miles left on it. In my opinion that is an excellant price. You will know more when you drive it. Good Luck! I don't think anyone on here will bash you for driving a Lightning. That would be my 2nd choice for a truck.

He goes by shopman1. If you do a search, you will find lots of info on this.

If they did what they claim, all the auto makers would be installing them in their new cars.

Truck looks great! What does "set of eights" mean? and if not too much to ask, what does a paint job like that cost?

I agree with the rest. They look great!

Lowering Front With Torsion Bars
stevebbb replied to BAD2THEBONEBLACKSS's topic in Suspension & Brakes
I lowered my rear with the 2" shackles, for some reason, it only dropped it 1 3/4", anyway, I just wanted the truck a little lower in the front and I dropped it 3/4 of an inch with the torsion bars. It came out just the way I wanted it. I took it for a front end alignment and he said it was almost perfect just the way it was, so we skipped the alignment. I do have a tip for you though. I removed the u shaped bracket that holds the rear bump stop and just bolted the bump stop to frame. You will see, it's made to do it. It was a little bouncy in the rear and this took care of that problem. I didn't do anything to the front bump stop and haven't noticed any problems. If it does feel bouncy in the front, just cut a nub on the stop. I was very happy with the looks and ride after I was all done. Good luck with your SS. -
Welcome Newb, good looking truck.

As already mentioned, you will have to shorten both your front and rear bump stops. I think that will help a lot. -
Did you forget to put in the price?

That was pretty good, I had to send it to a few friends.

Had to take my new cat back to the animal shelter

I know it doesn't help, but you did the right thing. It sounds like Cosmo would be a great pet for someone in a single cat home. Sorry it didn't work out for you. -
In 05 they offered 2wd or AWD, in 06 just the 2WD.

Anyone repaint entire truck
stevebbb replied to sandmanss's topic in Appearance, Cleaning, & Detailing
I don't understand this, you have the best color truck ever made. -
That is much more than a step up, it's a giant leap up. Congrats on the new truck and welcome to the site.

Where did you get your Extang RT from and what did it cost? -
I'm on my 2nd tune from Bryan, no problems with either one. I would highly recommend.

After the pcm4less was installed on my 04, it shifted into 4th gear at exactly 121 mph.

The 06 SSS have a 3.73 gear, not that it would have mattered in this situation.
-
how hard would it be to
