Sending the payoff check as I write this. It's been a long while with steep payments, but it's all paid off and all mine. Not that I'll have that amount free to do whatever I want because I just picked up a new Harley. Oh well, got to spend the $$$$ somewhere right?

I thought it was getting painted the same color? If so, why is everyone so hard up for pics?

I've been wanting to get a bike for a while now. Ever since I sold my street bike, I've kind of missed the feeling of riding so now is the time to step up. My plans are to pick up a touring bike. I like having a radio and some bags so if I decide to roll somewhere I can take the bike and not have to wear a dumb a$$ backpack. My partner has an '07 Ultra Classic Electric Glide (6 speed and 96 cubic inches) with 1900 miles and told me to just take over payments. The balance is about $17K so the payment wouldn't be so bad. The only thing is the color. It's a dark blue and pewter I believe. Anyways, if anyone has some advice for me, I'd surely appreciate it.

I wonder if anyone could break this down for me? Does this mean that if I purchase a BR disk that has audio coming out that is HD 7.1, it will not come out that way regardless if I have a 7.1 audio/video reciever? Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong. This is what worries me. It seems like a stand alone will be the way I have to go. I just wish all this sh*t was easier to understand.

I already have my family room set up for 7.1 so I do intend on having an audio system. I've been doing some reading there already and there seems to be a difference of opinion when it comes to the audio part of the PS3. I'd appreciate any reccomendations you have.

You say better, better how??? I'd really like to know. Like I stated earlier, I'll be going with a 7.1 system so I want the best audio as well as picture. I've been reading on an AV forum and some seem to say that the audio is better on a stand alone versus a PS3. I have no idea so if you can school me on "better", please do.

Just got done reading the entire review on CNET and it looks like I'll be getting a PS3 unless someone can talk me out of it. I'm going to do a little research on an AV forum to see what they say.

I hope so! I did alot of planning for this back in the day. I made sure anything I went with had HDMI cables. The back of my 58" Panni only has two HDMI plugs, but it really doesn't matter because I will be purchasing a Denon A/V reciever soon that will take care of that. I already have the line conditioner so all I need is the $$$$ for the 7.1 system. I'm thinking about the PS3 right now. It's like a two for one deal with the PS3. The only thing is I'd like to know the cons if any with it compared to a stand alone. I'm sure the PS3 probably doesn't have certain features a stand alone would, but they're probably ones I wouldn't use anyways. Yes, TI214 on the Argus. Supposed to be a finish up on the hoot. Hopefully it's a shorty!

I'm currently in the market for a BR player. I did some reading on CNET and they said the best one out there currently is the PS3. I'm not a gamer, I'll play if its there, but I don't wait in line for gaming sh*t if you know what I mean so having a PS3 isn't a big deal. It might come in handy when we entertain people if they play games. Anyways, I'd like to know if anyone here has compared a PS3 to a stand alone BR player. Is there a difference in the picture? Does it play regular DVD's? Any information anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I was looking at BR players today on line. According to CNET, the best one out there is the PS3. I've been told that I might as well get a PS3 since it's basically the same price as a stand alone BR player. I just wonder how the picture was. I guess we solved that mystery. Can you tell me how it looks when a regular DVD is played? I know it probably can't compare to a BR disk, but I wonder if it looks better than a regular DVD player?

I've been thinking about this for a while and was wondering if anyone would be down. I'd be down to trade my wheels for something I wanted in the same size I have. The wheels I'm looking for are Intro Pentia 6's. I've never seen these wheels on here so I doubt anyone could help me, but post up what you got and we'll see. I'm just looking for a different look without having to fork out the $$$$$$$! If anyone else is down, post it up or tell me this is a stupid idea!

CORRECTAMUNDO!!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you what to buy, but I can offer my insight. I recently just purchased a 58" Panasonic Plasma for my new family room. I was in the same boat as you, LCD or Plasma??????? Well, I went to a couple of stores and checked out what they had. The decision was fairly easy for me because I never did see a 58" LCD. All I saw was a 52" I believe. I've had it now for over a month and I'm completely satisfied with the picture quality and sound. The sound this Plasma puts out is fairly decent although I have already set up the room for 7.1 surround. All I need is the $$$$ for all the components. Anyways, depending on where you get your TV, these stores can wheel and deal. At first I bought a 58" Samsung Plasma from Circuit City. I never did any research on those Plasmas so when I got home, I wondered if I did the right thing since I was initially going for the Panni. Well, the next day I went to BB and told the girl the deal I had. The advertised price for the Panni was higher than the Samsung. Not only did I get the Panni cheaper, but I got a $400.00 line conditioner for $100.00 in the deal. I believe the Panni was advertised for something like $3999.00, but I got it for $2800.00 when everything was all said and done. Money talks bro!!!!!! You could get an even better deal if you purchase other things at the same time. I bought the wall mount, 4 year warranty, line conditioner, etc. which made the deal better. Above all, don't listen to anyone!!!!!! Go out and do your research, look at both TVs, do some reading, ask questions, be informed about the decision you are about to make. There are many different features each TV has, for example, the Panni has a slot to insert your card from your camera so you can watch the pics as a slideshow. The Samsung didn't, but it did have a USB slot. For what, I have no clue!!!!

I kept mine. I didn't want the heat from the motor to affect the paint on the hood plus I'm not FI so really no need to take it off IMHO. It's just for looks really.

As I've said before, I would pay the $125.00 in a heartbeat. It was a PITA to do mine and I would never do it again. Just dont have the patience.

I believe I paid something close to $400.00 for my paint and install, but looks no where near as nice as Chases pan. I'd have to agree though, you get what you pay for.

Screw the heat! My idea of heaven is a crisp clear 70* day. It hasn't been really hot, but hot enough to have the house AC on for the past 7 days.

Do a search under my username and sunroof and you should find the thread. I got mine done right where the 105 and 710 meet. I forgot the name of the place. Like Rob said, I have the switch hidden in the center console to keep it clean inside. I just bumped up that thread for you.

IMO, nothing beats the look of some nice polished billets!

I'll be going with the Def Tech's as well!
