Why not just use the park assist feature that's already built into the truck. No need for towing mirrors to do what the truck can. Plus they don't belong on an sss IMHO.
-
No tuning required.
-
On the electrical connector, jump the two outside wires together and the service light will not go on.
-
General rule of thumb is to pull 2* of timing per 50hp shot. The only way around it is to have a dyno verify power and log the pcm for timing and KR
-
You can get a good nitrous controller that ties into your iat sensor, so that when you arm the system it pulls timing. This will require tuning to properly set up, or get the autocal from efilive, or just drive on a nitrous tune, n/a the truck will be a little sluggish, but manageable.

Sorry to hear rob, like you said, there is a new clone in the area with all of your shit
-
2/3bar with EFILive has a resolution of 10kpa all the way up to 285kpa, which equal about 26psi of positive pressure
-
Yes you will, especially with hptuners
-
This, braking performance would be horrible if the front and rear axles had the same frictions and set up. Nature of the beast.
-
REP can also be caused if you cut to much material off and the TB can't control the new airflow. It if the blade is sticking
-
IF Charlie was to leave the tune unlocked, then yes you could "stack" tunes, but unless you ate doing gear or tire changes, you shouldn't need to stack tunes
-
It will most likely to small. Diesel and gas motors have different flow characteristics
-
Yes they can, but a 2bar tune is better of been done in person. There is more to it than just flashing and going. The entire boost region of the tune needs to be custom made to the vehicle and mods. Maybe they will have good base starting point, but not something I recommend done via mail order tuning
-
No they can not. The os that can do it are custom from either hptuners or efilive. Stock Pcm does not have the native tables to do anything past atmospheric pressure

FTI converters
chpspecial replied to Blazerdave2000's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
Fti is a good company. Up there with pi. Many fbody guys run them with good results -
I'm assuming that you mean heat exchanger, the intercooler would be in the lower manifold. people like to compound the gen 1 cts-v heat exchanger, or go with the lightning heat exchanger, but both require some fab work

Injector wiring? Help!
chpspecial replied to ryanneugebauer95's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
Just test the connectors first, I have used two sets and on both sets at least one plug had a miss-pin. -
Mr. P has a paxton, but he hasn't been around for some time now, he basically used a vette kit and made it work with the truck accessories IIRC
-
the head unit will need to be reprogrammed at a dealer or by someone with a tech 2 and access to the radios programing file. That is the only way to un-merry a locked radio from the previous vin. Unless you buy a brand new one from gm, if it has been in a vehicle, it has a learned vin, and you can not buy one unlocked anywhere. FYI
-
Yes, 5.0motorsports have them
-
Power steering. Lift the front wheels of the ground and do several lock to lock turns of the steering wheel. Check and recheck PS fluid as well
-
The 5.3 should be 21-24# depending the tbss are 29iirc, and no, they have different plug ends

New guy here with a procharger!
chpspecial replied to D1SCSS's topic in Forced Induction and Nitrous
Curious, have you ran the s10 at the track. How does it do if so. -
I think there is something fundamentally wrong with your set up, or you have air in the lines. This is the first time I hear of somebody not having improved braking after the hydroboost swap
-
There can still be another lead wire under the fuse cover that isn't hooked up. If there isn't, then you are going to have to trace your power wire and see where its going.
