  1. I personally have seen some of the WCC show cars, and even tuned/help build the trans to one that is being driven by a singer. You don't buy these vehicles for their face value as what they used to be, but at the concept they now become. You cannot see this car as a chevelle or a corvette, It is now a one of a kind corvelle. The buyer for this car might not be in this forum, but it will have a buyer and that person will enjoy it as a corvelle.
  2. he does not lock his tunes..
  3. i don't have a part number, just go into the dealer with your vin number, shouldn't be an issue. You could also take it back to the shop, sometimes it can be repaired if it isn't to far gone.
  4. excellent build, 5.7+maggie+AWD=
  5. [quote name='battousai' how would one do a leak down test? You will need a special tool with two gauges. You feed in compressed air into each cylinder while the piston is at TDC. The first gauge will read the psi in the system, the second will give you the % leak down. If you have a problem area, you will hear where you are leaking compression. I.e. intake/exhaust valves, head gasket, piston rings... Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  6. This is most likely an issue with your park neutral safety switch on the side of your trans, not the gauge cluster. Have you recently removed your trans. The lever slot probably is worn out. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  7. You can't just splice in the conector for a 6 pin TB from an 8pin. You either have to get the x-link, or use the TAC from an 02 suburban with DBW, and the speartech harness/repin. On some vehicles, it does not allow full operation of the TB. The x-link does. As for the v1.0 link, It was only designed to work with the LS2/7 TB, not ls3 and truck 90mm, hence why it isn't working. In addition, it is crucial that the 5v refrence wire be connected to a 5v source otherwise it will not work in any condition.
  8. Do a leak down test, not a compression. If you are with in 10-15% leak down, mod away, as for injectors, as long as you are porperly tuned for them, the PCM will not over fuel the engine. It will just use less injector duty cycle. IF you do larger injectors with no tune, then yes, the engine will flood with fuel.
  9. bank 2 is running lean, check for an exhaust leak, or a bad 02 sensor. Cat might also be plugged up. Cats and FI don't like each other very well. a plugged cat can also cause the p0300 code. Also, have you scaned your truck with HPTuners. look at your LTFT for both banks,
  10. You have this backwards... the 03 trucks and down, can run the auxilary inline pump because they have a FPR at the fuel rails, not in the tank, therefore the inline pump can increase FP and the regulator will controll the excess and maintain the correct fuel pressure. 04 and newer truck with the returnless system can not do this, if you do, there would be no way of controlling the fuel pressure at the fuel rails since the inline pump would dead head fuel at the max pressure it can provide. THis is why 04 and newer truck must do the intank upgrade and not the inline.
  11. chase did have the 18" nitto 555r's and he did run his fastest with 22 on the vortech, but his fastest time has been with the twins, on the same 22" wheels with his old nitto 420s tires. As for the small twins vs. Big single argument, No both of these truck will have totally different drive feels and characteristics. The supra boys have demonstrated time and time again that for top end power, a big single is the ticket, for throttle response and mid range power, twins are the way to go. Chase was also at the limit of his current turbos. Next size up would have improved his top end, however it would result in some low end loss.
  12. I'm with you... People mistake air velocity and air volume. Volume gets you the low end power l92are good for, and hence why they respond well to smaller cams, but air velocity takes the cake. Both here and on pt.net, you will see that most l92 head threads also have the word "budget" I'm them. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  13. If you didn't find a vacuum leak it will be in the tune. The tb code is a good indicator of that. The surface area change between the 90mm and the 102 is enormous. The pcm is commanding what it knows to be the correct tb angle for the desired tb and idle air, the actual is different enough that it sets a tps code and also causes that run-away feeling Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  14. The issue is going to be in the 2-3 shift Valve mod. Maybe a leak? Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  15. Which xlink is it the v1, v2, v2.1, v3? It can also be in the tune. Ate you set up tune wise for the up size in tb Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  16. For best results it should be wired with a hot wire kit and as close to the tank as possible. The problem with the stock set up is that the wiring is not big enough adequate for the power consumption of aftermarket pumps Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  17. All the guys who have responded here do their own tuning. LTFT at +/- 2 is more than ideal. You will never get perfect fuel trims. No need to adjust them each day. +/- 2 will also not have any impact on how your truck drives or fuels it self nor will it cause engine damage. If you are worried about going lean, which isn't an issue here, you can alway compensate by adding more fuel with PE Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  18. where did you hear this... do a proper tune of the VE table and MAF and not worry about it... or make sure you are on a good SD tune and turn everything off altogether.. no need to do things half way. Both LTFT and STFT are good diagnostic tools to have
  19. I know he had a set of 18 with I believe nittto nt05 and on the street he still smoked them bad.. never made it back to the track... Spinning the 22 with BFG KDW 2 tires at the trucking event, he still pulled off a 10.78 unofficial 1/4 mile time.
  20. This only happens when people over oil the filter and don't let it dry before installing Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  21. This is the problem chase ran into. No matter what he did he spun like crazy. Suspension and tires will be a must, even on an awd truck. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  22. A stock lq9 with full bolt ons will be in mid 90s IDC. A camed lq9 should be past the 100% IDC. On stock injectors Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  23. Electromotive tec3 can handle it. You can tune up to 12 individual injectors with it. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
  24. The vhos have the same suspension as the sss. The vMax have the regular Chevy towing suspension. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
