  1. Jim, I'm doing the same things, but with beltech. Of course, I don't have my axle here to install it anyway so it will be a few still.
  2. I'm going 335s most likely... but you're right, custom rims. Stock wheel backspacing, 305's are as big as you can go. You should have plenty of room for those, with any drop.
  3. They are mid-length (although Bassani calls them "optilength"). I've had mine on about a year -- love 'em.
  4. Sorry for the geek-speak; OS means "Operating System", or the actual computer program that is running on the PCM (versus the data tables on the PCM, which can be read/altered by a tuner). Well that does sound like the way to go - so assuming one reflashes their PCM to support 2-bar mapping, is there a MAF on the market large enough to support that? Or are we talking SD-only above 1-bar? Mr. P. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Running a 2bar in a 1 bar OS may net you slightly lower resolution, but the PCM interpolates the values and you're still able to have fairly accurate fueling. I'm still running a 1 bar OS, and have been doing this for almost a year because I don't think I could upgrade to a 2bar. My data bus is screwed up somehow and my re-flashes crash every couple of times and will only work on the low speed setting... If you fail a full OS reflash early on, the PCM is toast. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmmm. I don't think that's true with EFI Justin -- it recovers IIR. You can do the 2 bar map in a 1 bar os if you can tweak the MAP scaler, but the difference between doing so and a 2 bar OS is night and day. My experience only applies to EFI Live Custom OS -- I left HPT back when they couldn't support 2 bar tuning for our trucks and didn't know when they would.

  6. Bingo. 2 or 3 bar MAP requires a custom OS.
  7. The real question is, why would you want to? You definitely want the sc'd temp rather than the outside air, but why both?
  8. 1 bar reads 1 atmosphere of pressure, which is to say -14.7psi of vacuum to 0.0psia (static sea level amtospheric pressure). 2 bar reads 2 atmospheres, so -14.7psi to 14.7psi (1 bar of vacuum, 1 bar of boost) 3 bar reads 3 atmospheres, so -14.7psi to 29.4psi (1 bar of vac, 2 bars of boost) Given the nature of a 1 bar sensor it is most suited to NA applications.
  9. Some info: The tach signal at the gauge appears as if its a 4 cylinder, so you need to convert it. At the PCM it's as if the polarity is switched (you don't get the same signal from the PCM that you get from inside the cab). I don't recall the plug and pin number at the PCM (it is still a white wire -- want to say pin 57 but really dont remember).
  10. Don't know for sure, bud, but after my truck sat that long I had to buy new accessory belts (as they were both slipping and shrieking like made). Try some belt dressing?
  11. Hey guys can any of you with stock ride height and stock tires measure from the top of the fender lip to the top of the tire? I'd appreciate it if ya could
  12. He also had his turbo mounted where the turbo belongs <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Strangely enough, his 14psi number was 7hp more than mine, and I lifted at 5300 rpm And he was using a turbo that had 18 extra mm on the compressor ;)
  13. You have the title. You've paid for the vehicle. Call the sheriffs office back and report it stolen.
  14. goal is 1000hp to the ground, not sure what the boost will need to be- - parish hit 1000+ at around 18psi with his PT88.
  15. Yep -- can't remember his name... STS makes twins for C5s and for SRT10s so far. Thanks bud BASTARD!!!
  16. Yep. And the rear end. And the manifold lol. At least I already have the exhaust pipes off...
  17. Some of you know that it hasn't been a fun year for me with having the road rager intentionally spin me out in traffic and all... I finally got around to talking with the guys at STS about the GT70s performance on the dyno and we all agreed it was pretty close to capped at the 14 psi test level. After talking with Rick, I was sold on either a PT88 or twin T3/T4s, thinking that the PT88 would probably be the one a chose due to pricing and every-other-crazy project I took on this summer. I gotta give the STS guys a huge THANK YOU because they came up with a way for me to do twin GT32s at a very very very good price -- a price so good that the first thing my wife said when I told her the deal was "Take it!!" That says something right there The STS guys have always taken care of me, and I can't express my gratitude enough. More to follow as the twins arrive and I start the install. AFAIK, this will be the first set of rear mount twins going on an SSS and the first set of STS twins going on a GM truck. Green Thunder is the guy that got me salivating for twins a year ago and that's the only other rear mount twin kit I've seen, so I'll be join a pretty elite club .
  18. I just ordered one of these also. It looks like a pretty good unit, and cheaper than that AMW unit that doubled in price recently. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mine will be here Wed! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL now they are back ordered too! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Really, did you try ordering one? Early bird gets the worm <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I lost on ebay for an AMW, so I went to order and poof. Send me yours!!
