  1. What year WS6? I'm assuming a newer car? My buddy has a second gen WS6 T/A, the early ones weren't terribly quick, but they had the "cool factor".... the newer versions had the performance! Good kill for sure!
  2. The guy in the Camaro musta been impressed for sure!
  3. I'll get it tuned and toss my new exhaust on, it sounds a bit like a dump truck to me in that video... LOL
  4. My parts chaser is a 1974 Jensen Interceptor, I just redid the engine- 446ci, 2x4bbl, headwork, headers, etc... and just fired it. The stock exhaust is still on the car, it is crammed into the back of an H pipe I bought with my headers, I plan on a bigger diameter exhaust with an X pipe and four mufflers... but here is the initial idle with no tuning whatsoever, the carbs are out of the box..... Idle.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qbvxIVJqBE
  5. STOP PICKING ON THE MEN!!!!!!!!! Great thread, I love reading these kind of things. My wife has already tossed down the "Her Magnum/ my Jensen" invitation... she wants to whooop my butt too! Your truck is moving pretty danged good!
  6. Crucify you? Heck, I would take you in and feed you! LOL A van that looks like that with the performance numbers you are getting out of it.... AWESOME. Congrats!
  7. I'm a Canuck who stands right beside each and every one of you. I watched in 2001, tossing and turning between sad, disgusted and angry. I'm still sad, disgusted and angry.
  8. Great thread IMO. I'm in Canada, I say thanks too!
  9. Compared to most, probably! I went on a Chevy Xtreme forum and hung out with the guys locally, one time I went out to a meet in my motorhome, ended up racing a guy in a dead stock"ZQ8" truck, we were neck and neck for quite a while. He was all wide eyed afterwards. LOL
  10. I read the thread Chase, I'm tearing for ya. So sorry for your loss. I've got a soft spot for animals, and the loss of a pet is tough. My sincerest condolences.
  11. I actually like the SRT10 Rams a lot. I looked at buying one for a family vehicle a few years ago. They have a nice look, they drive really nice and they have decent power. My neighbour bought one for a daily driver work truck, he owns an excavating company! He would come home with his truck covered in mud, or he would be in a foot of snow in the winter, it was actually pretty funny. He had it for about two years. The biggest drawback of the SRT10 Rams by far is the gas mileage. I know several people who own or have owned them, most love the truck but don't want to pay half their income into their gas tanks. When I looked at one it was probably 2004 or 2005, the truck was in the showroom for $73,000 Canadian. *waits for Canadian money jokes*
  12. I'm sorry for your loss as well. Somebody above said there was something special about Grandma's - and I agree.
  13. My motorhome is quicker for sure than my work van, but only to about 70mph... then my work van would start to pull and pass.... I'll have to get a buddy or two and race them, and grab a vid cam! LOL
  14. Yup. Pulled up to a red light, and a kind elderly Chinese gentleman in a grey Toyota 2 door pulled beside me. I'm not big on my Toyotas, but it was a bigger car than a Corolla, and a two door. He starts inching up on the light, almost launches on the left turn green, then gets a slow ass whoopin when the light turns green. Until the NEXT light. We repeat at the next red light but this time he is looking over at me like he is mad when he is waiting to go. Green light comes, I pull him no problem. Out of the hole, and I get about 5 lengths by 60mph. We hit another red light, this time he is pissed and staring at me, so I return the favor by laughing in his general direction, and waving, with a smile. Light turns green, see ya buddy! Four times in total the poor guy watched the tail lights of a Chevy work van with large ladders on it's roof. And tons of tools inside.... including the driver! LOL Ahhhh, the satisfaction!
  15. Most I have seen at the track are very low 13s. Good kill for sure!
  16. The Friday night cruise through town is THE place to be, it's better than the actual show as far as I am concerned. You'll be extremely impressed by some of the vehicles, watch them perform in various places, meet lots of people, and I doubt you will laugh harder on any cruise night!!!!!!!!!! Fun stuff for sure!
  17. Langley B.C. It's pretty impressive for locals shows here, I don't think they get any bigger.... http://www.langleycruise-in.com/ It was big enough that Dennis Gage did an episode for the Cruise In on My Classic Car many years ago...
  18. It's Sept 11th and 12th, the cruise is Friday night, the show is Saturday.
  19. Sorry, but the LAST thing you will get from me is "disrespect" for being wounded in combat. Not even sure HOW that came into the thread. Like I said, make the trip up.
  20. McMahon.... No reason for anyone to get pissed off, no reason to lock the thread! Come on up to the Langley Good Times Cruise In Friday and Saturday Sept 11th and 12th this year- then find the idiot with the flamed motorhome (I ain't hard to find) LOL I will get you a ride in a SRT4 stage3 so you know where I am coming from, and then have a look around at what's up here... it's pretty big IMO. Come and have a meet before you judge, and I'll do the same...
  21. It's funny, as time goes on the public seem to get accustomed to faster and faster times from stock vehicles. In the late 70's a Corvette was top of the heap with a 16 second 1/4 mile time. For a stock truck to do a 16 second 1/4 mile time would have been a pipe dream. Along comes technology, and trucks are running faster than 16 second 1/4 mile times, stock. I watched a Typhoon when they came out hit the track, it was like a kid finding bubble gum! In today's world it would be quick still, but everything else has gotten so much faster, it's truly unbelievable.
  22. And the internet responses begin... LOL
  23. Pretty quick little cars! To stay with one to that speed- especially from a roll- must have surprised the guy in the 370Z!!!!
  24. I'll have to say that though I am a "Dodge guy" I am not really an SRT4 guy... lol I respect SRT4s for what they are stock, and many SRT4s with Stage3 setups are absolute monsters at the track IMO. Truly impressive. BUT! I'm still not a real fan, nor do I usually run around on the internet defending them. ;) And if Krambo or Chase or other guys with big performances numbers kicked a SRT4 stage3 to the curb I would be impressed AND proud for them. They have sooooo much time work and money into their trucks it shows in their timeslips. For it to be a "no big deal" to one of them, well... that's a different story, for sure!
