  1. Some of the oldest tricks in the book...the good scam artists go the extra mile to clean off the parts they claim to replace to at least make them look new and/or serviced. Jiffy Lube sucks in the first place, whether they actually do the work or not. Stay away from any chain stores, no matter who they are. If you can't do it yourself, or don't have the time, lay out the extra coin and go to the dealer, or at the very least, find a good local independent who's been around for a long time and has a good rep and good references. IMO, the only thing the chain franchises are good for is cheap tires with road-hazard warranties...as long as they have the most up to date equipment and use it. (Rim clamp machines, roadforce balancers, etc.) I'd still go back to the dealer to have the alignment done though. I've worked on both sides of the fence....when I was younger, I had a few jobs at GoodYear and Firestone, and have had many years in a couple of different dealerships (mostly with Toyota, and now Lexus). Can't even compare them.
  2. I concur with all of the suggestions mentioned above. Get a good strong set of e-fans, a nice high-flow replacement water pump, and save your bucks on the electric water pump...they're not intended for extended use, they're made to go 1/4 mile at a time, a few times a week
  3. Wow, those pics gave me chills, that's awesome...I'm speechless. Go Dale!
  4. Been a Yankee fan all my life...went to my first game when I was about 5 or 6, my mom was at the 1977 World Series game when Reggie Jackson hit 3 homers (I was 7 years old)...some of the fondest memories of my life happened in the Bronx
  5. Do you have factory exhaust? Where's the gyser, underneath or what? Could the rattle be a loose 02 sensor heat shield? Sounds like a kooky issue, I'd love to see a vid of this...
  6. I was considering the MagHytek for a while, but I've always been a fan of the TA rear diff girdle, both for looks and functionality. It has studs that preload the bearing caps to help provide support. I got mine directly from TA Performance...can't remember exactly how much, but I know it was less than $200...closer to the $130 to $150 range if I remember correctly....here's some pics:
  7. Believe it or not, if anything, you'll want to use anti-sieze on the header bolts. You'll thank yourself later if you ever have to remove them. I installed my Gibson shorties over 5 years ago, using the supplied Gibson header gaskets and bolts and some hi-temp RTV on the gaskets. For the first few weeks I periodically retorqued the bolts until it became un-necessary (I keep a 12mm wrench in the glove box just in case). I've had 5 leak-free years with no problems. A few weeks ago, I removed the shorties and installed StainlessWorks long tubes with factory manifold gaskets. All 12 bolts came out without any heartache and looked to be in such good condition that I actually re-used them to install the SW's (adding a new coat of anti-sieze). So far I've retorqued them once, and they've been tight every other time that I've checked them...just checked yesterday after work when the truck was cool before my ride home. I also have a set of Stage8's that I'm eventually gonna use when I do the 6.0 swap...like BenKey mentioned, they're a PITA, but if you don't plan (or get lucky and don't have to) remove the header bolts, they work well. I've never used them on a GENIII, but have had great luck with them on other small block Chevy's.
  8. I love coffee but never drink soda...so I don't think it would be my "cup o' tea"...
  9. Congratulations! Wifey and I are due for our first Sep. 6...it's gonna be a girl (we had to know!). Rose Josephine Ceralli
  10. Just happened to take these pics this week to finish up the last few shots on my digital throw away.... I play bass and spend way too much time on the computer
  11. Sweet ride man, she must be stoked! Congrats and good luck with it!
  12. Yep, that's Jim Neunfeld(sp?), aka Parish. Here's his website: http://www.neufamily.org/truck.html
  13. I've pretty much been a Bud drinker since....well, actually middle school (got an early start). I have an occasional Corona in the summer also. Lately I've really slowed down with the drinking though since I had a "cardiac episode" right before New Year's...I'm on so many heart meds and a few other meds that I shouldn't be drinking at all. I drink alot of water and alot of coffee
