  1. Hey guys, I know I have been going back a forth between superchargers in the past 6 months but after my guys at Motor City Speed (W2W) called to order the 1900 setup for my 402 stroker and Magnason totally stepped up to the plate and decided to make me a 2300 TVS setup for my current Cathedral port heads. This will be the very first kit that magnason has put out for our head design. I am still waiting on tons of other stuff to come in to make my way back up to the shop but I'll make sure I will take tons of pictures and post it in the "build section". Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up. Help is on the way for those of you not wanting to switch head design to run the 2300! Here is the email I just recieved for my tech at Motor City Speed. Really exciting!
  2. Hotchkis Here's some others: Until March 22nd $15 off at Carstuff.com use code Spring09 Griots Garage, Place order by 3/26/09 use coupon code EMTGB at checkout and get a free bottle of Speed Shine (this stuff works great) As I said I will post more as I get them instead of throwing thwm away. If anyone else has coupons post them up, I know I'm not the only one...
  3. 15% off Hotchkis suspension (everything) Discount code- MarchMadness must be used before march 30th just to get started...I'll post others as I come across them instead of throwing them away
  4. I'm not sure if this is illegal and that's why it has not been done yet, but I get coupons in the mail and online all the time that I can't use or from products that I already have. Can I post them on here to help you guys out? I just hate to see these deals go to waste.
  5. Man Chase I must say I am a little jealous. I was on a simailar route since this past fall, but after careful consideration and buying a house I backed down and went another route. I know you will do the build right, and represent the SS crowd well. Congrats man.
  6. This is my little boy. He is a 130lb American Bulldog and he is 100% baby. He trys to be a lap dog. Best dog I've had.
  7. Yeah Zippy I know the 2300 would have a much better fit for the extra cubes but like I said, I changed gears a little from last Fall, from building a world beater to just a mean ass street machine. With the setup we have planed it should really suprise a lot of people. I just want something I can drive on the street all day and enjoy it.
  8. I just put $ down the beginning of this week for a 1900 set up. That on top of my 402 should be a really sweet setup for a street truck. I'm looking forward to it. Orginally I was having a LSX440 with a 2300 built, but after a combination: of hard thinking, buying a house, ecomony being flushed, and the engine quote alone, I changed my direction. I'm having my guys over a Motor City Speed (formaly W2W) taking pics so I'll post them when I get them. Shold be an interesting summer for my trans
  9. Or you could just do what I did and buy these to cover it http://www.baer.com/products/complete/extreme-plus.php
  10. What were you saying? http://www.magnacharger.com/images/lowres/...300-3-12-08.jpg Even with a 17% loss at the wheels that engine in our truck would be puttin down 800whp
  11. As cool as turbos are I think with your personal situation you might want to lean towards the supercharger. Turbos are more for the advanced well tuned vehicle, driver, and person installing and doing the work on it. As cool as turbos are they do/ can come with a ton of work. I have heard of guys melting everything form windsheild fluid resevors, to plug wires to everything in between. Again I love turbos, but it sounds like you are a beginner, I would stick to plug and play...somethng simple like a maggie (roots). You might want to research Supercharger a little and compare that to your goals. Do you want a fast off idle truck ( Roots, twin screw) or a fast top end truck (Centri, Turbo) generally speaking with a ton exceptions. Also, you said as fast a possible...realize with fast comes breakage. You might want to visit our trans section and take a look at how many people scortch trans here. Speed is expensive when dealing with a 5500lb truck.
  12. I know this is old but the best part is that you just left after the race...you just kept going and tuned off and left them standing there scratching their heads like wtf just happened???
  13. Thanks for the reply guys I might have not made it clear enough what I was asking for. I know lots of guys here who are running quicker than 11.49 and are not running bars of any kind...i.e Chase, blackySS13, even you Krambo, you were real close beofore your new set up. Are you planning on running one after your new setup is done? If not how are you getting away with it? Also, If I can I would like to just run some kind of bar in the back to be able to mount my harness to...any ideas without having a cage built? I know kirk roll cages has some but again, by the time I have it built, shiped, and installed I'm right where I was.
  14. My truck is in the performance shop being built as we speak trying to break into the 10's. I was quoted for a 6pt rollcage and am floored. For those of you running mid to low 11's are you even running rollcages or is it only a rule at most tracks in Michigan. I would like to do things like top Speed events at Maxton and the Texas Mile on airport runways, but in order to be legal I am being told I have to have a 6pt cage with door bars. I started this new little project whan wanting to install new Corbeau racing seats. It quickly turned into a full 6pt race cage. Anyone? How much? I was quoted 4k painted, padded, harnessed, and new seats mounts installed with seats installed (corbeau doesn't make seat mounting brackets for our trucks so one needs to be fabbed up)
  15. Hate to do this because that's already a huge deal but $2300 for the front?
  16. I just talked to my engine builder from Detroit that just got back from there. I guess he said they placed 2nd with one of his Camaro's from texas that ran in the low 7's.
  17. The new XD(M) looks really nice too.
  18. People who supply their offspring with ridiculous things like that just because they can make me want to bitch slap both kids and parents. If you can provide nice things for your kids please at least make them earn the shit. And "getting good grades" doesn't qualify morons!!! That's part of being a responsible parent and student. Maybe i'm just jealous because my Dad never bought me a Bugatti Veroyn when I was 16...I don't know
  19. How about handling? Is there a rear difference between the leafs and shackles and hangers?
  20. I am heavly invested in the Market and since last November (07) I have lost more than I'd ever like to admit. My finacial advisor told me last week if the Government doesn't do the bailout you should absolutely pull everything...unless you have things like an annunity with the correct protection suronding it. Now that was with my situation so it's hard to say what you or anyone else should do. I try my hardest to not pay attention the the news or hype of daily BS, and tell myself i'm in this for the long haul , but with things like this it's almost impossible to ignore. Again, I'm not the profesional but I do trust my guy.
  21. I feel like an idiot. You're right. Thank god I'm not the one who wrote the email but I still feel moronic for posting it. Sorry guys. Just take the idea for face value...
  22. I just opened this email and think it really puts things into perspective on where our governments heads are at... I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend. To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bona fide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up. So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals = $425,000.00. My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It - Dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife have $595,000. 00. What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family? Pay off your mortgage housing crisis solved. Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads Put away money for college - it'll be there Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs. Buy a new car - create jobs Invest in the market - capital drives growth Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ("vote buy") economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President. If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+! As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up. Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't. Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work." But, can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion, We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC. And remember, the plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam. Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.
  23. For those who missed this topic. If you look closly at the pics with the hood open you can see the skull. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47345
  24. Thanks for the reply...I knew you guys would come through since 99% of the search posts I read, had you answering most of the questions . I can't believe the leafs ride that bad. Damn. I knew they rode firm but even with the new shocks and drilled out bumpstops you think it would still be the same conditions? As far as the hangers are concerned belltech (stylingtrucks) is saying that the hangers won't work on my SS which I know is BS, so I at least need a part # to give these fools for the hangers. I never tow or haul with my SS...it's a garage queen. I'm just looking for a new stance that will be best suited for my truck.
