  1. Latest update. More than likely going to have the typhoon I am working on buttoned up and be working on a couple other little toys but looks like I will be going with some of my friends that are GM rep's this year. At this point I am thinking we do a bbq the weekend following? What works for everyone? Let me know. Either by PM or drop me an email [email protected]
  2. Got a brand new tailgate from an 05 with about 3 miles on it. been sitting wrapped up for a long time now graphite like the two tone on my truck. Shipping would be killer though. Vegas to Ny I would say 250 plus whatever it is to ship
  3. Hey guys I am driving the VHO down to New orleans next week doing some tuning some fabbing and some racing. I will be staying with another SS member out in the Slidell area. If anyone wants to get together next weekend drop a line we are hoping to get down to the cruise that started this week as well. And I know Eddie is coming down from Central LA so we can dial in his SD tune and toss on some headers for him. Should be a good time guys. Anyone between Vegas and Nola that wants to say hey hit me up
  4. Looking good I am working on a 93 typhoon right now for a customer. Full forged engine vortec heads 60-1 turbo should be a blast when it's done.
  5. If your going off the dash gauge you might really only be around 200 degrees.. the stock gauges are off anywhere between 10-15 degrees I have seen with the ss clusters. If you are going of an aeroforce gauge those are right on the money. 210 will get you home in the heat. I would check your coolant level just to be 100% certain but in the summer here in nevada with the air on I run right about 200-210 with factory e fans and a 160 stat. You should make it home no prob bud
  6. Def waiting on some images here I love the shortbed shortcab clones
  7. What a roller coaster ride. It's good to hear things are working out a bit better now. I think everyone has been going though some rough patches over the past 2 years. Good to see you around though.
  8. I have run them in the past on a couple of applications even long before the ls1 was an engine. I have tired them on a couple LS based builds. I personally don't like the sound. You do get a deep sound at wide open with no cats but it doesn't sound crisp to me. Their selling point is the durability of the baffles and the fact that they rob nothing from the airflow. I have a corsa now which honestly I can't see it robbing anything because it is built with a chamber with packing that does nothing to influence the flow simply drown out the resonance. I have run Dynomax race magnums and bullets as well as the super turbo's. If you want the badass sound and not really go crazy at idle or part throttle look into the race magnum welded from Dynomax. They have a rebate going now for I think 25 off each muff anyways. To me the spintech's drone like a flowmaster and I have yet to ever see them make power just end up sounding obnoxious. They work well on circle track cars but they are running 7-8000 rpm alot longer than street cars do. Hope that helped. good luck!
  9. I told you it was toilet water SON shit. If I can save one life. Just one. I did my job
  10. Looking good. The woody interior goes great with your bottle of sparking toilet water
  11. Keep your head up Steve things will work out. And congrats on the personal gains!
  12. Originally 708 but I still have my 847 cell phone hah Chicago area Nw
  13. Welcome Originally from Illinois myself relocated to Nevada about 4 years ago
  14. I talked to my buddy today he said the hoods are not really coming in and out but we might be able to find one at one of the yards here in town. Let me know when you want to do some long tubes and a tune see if we can get you hooked up
  15. Bout time! haha looks good I never heard back from you so glad you got it squared away.
  16. One more reason stupidity should be painful. Really. But that's the main reason if I do go to walmart I go to the 24 hour one at like 2 am. (love vegas) Mainly to avoid that shit. It's like going to an amusement park every piece of trailer trash is in there buying either one item or 100 items and being rude and inconsiderate. The problem that gets me the most is the kids opening up toys and packages then their mother or father says no the kid throws it on the ground and storms off. Now the guy getting paid minimum wage has to pick up after someone's brat. Meanwhile mom is over there on asile 34 spraying febreze to see if it smells better than the glade. It comes back to what makes me most upset in the end. The feeling of entitlement the last couple generations of people have now. I am going general as far as age groups here. I am sure some of the guys on the site are older. But I think I can say most of our folks all have a different level of respect for things cause they had to work really hard to get the things they had. They respected that. They cared about everything. The kids today think stuff is owed to them. They all are supposed to be supplied computers in school videogames and every little punk ass 16 year old in the valley thinks he is either gotta roll in a jacked up truck with rims on it that will never go offroad or you get these other kids who think that they are fast and furry. They have zero respect for what it took to EARN a car. EARN a paycheck. Mommy and daddy are taking way too good of care and when they don't take good enough care then they are "underprivileged" Underprivileged is living in a cardboard box eating 6 month old Cheetos and drinking from a rain gutter. Those kids. That roll in the cars they don't pay for are going to have kids that give even less of a shit. Unfortunately they grow up watching stupid shit like professional "athletes" and I use that term loosely, as role models. Whatever happened to your Dad being your inspiration making your family proud. Now these kids want to be "pro skaters" pro ball players" and my personal favorite for vegas " MMA fighters" I could go on for hours but yeah. The only way to counter act this whole mess we are in now is to try and lead and set good examples. Don't ever give up.
  17. Nice welcome. I would love to see a pair of twins on a different truck here
  18. I will tell my buddy at the bodyshop to watch for an HD hood. Yep you need to loose that blowfaster. Get some long tubes and a nice exhaust setup going and a tune and it will be nice. Mine doesn't drone on the highway it just sounds like your windows are going to blow out when I pass you
  19. A good tune will help you out alot. The stock tune's make the trucks nosedive a bit when it comes to shiftpoints. That right out of the gate will pick you up some time. As well as a good calibration with whatever bolt on's you do will go a really long way. If you are in Texas Check out Wheatley he does some really nice work. Keep at it our trucks are alot of fun at the track
  20. I love that trailer what did it run you if I may ask? I want to get something like that for my blazer x since it's slammed so low it's a pain to get on the trailer now.
  21. Planning NOLA tuning trip 2 and Chicago awd Dyno day

  22. Lot of good writeups and builds at s10 forum I have one in progress right now ls6 blazer xtreme and I have a ext cab short bed 98 I am going to do a 5.3 in also
