  1. I am just the curious type and I have to know whats up with the 476 sticker and plate? nice price good work.
  2. Check a few places before you make your final decisions. I know that Crutchfield and BestBuy have kits with the monitors already in a headrest. Yes....I know its pricey but then you dont have to find a replacement if you screw up. You just slip theirs into your seats. I have seen them for about $1600 a pair. OR go to www.katzkin.com and see if they can make a cover for your headrest with an SS stitched in....just in case of an accidental install.
  3. I switched to a Fram FV391 pcv valve. Its one of the cheapest things I have ever done $2.47 at walmart.
  4. I know it seems more and more like the style but I hate the rims that have the spokes extend on to the lip of the rim. I just dont like that extra material on the lip. Looks like the forgot to grind it off or something. just my $0.02!
  5. I have responded to this question in the past and cannot get over the differences in what we all get on mileage. The DIC tells me I get 17.5 average. This is with a ported Throttle Body, new tires set at 42psi front and 39psi rear, K&N drop in, all synthetic fluids, 93 octane fuel, and that Tornado everyone complains about (take it out and it drops to 16.4mpg) I have a PCM tune from Bryan and changed out the stock PCV valve for one off a ZO6 with a mechanical spring inside to get rid of the oil in the intake. I know I live in the cold climate so that helps my mileage but cannot figure out why mine is so much higher than others on here?
  6. Once you open up the gauge cluster you just have to pull the needle off. Most aftermarket kits will give you a plastic "Golf Divit tool" you slide behind and carefully lift up. I would go to a golf shop or even Walmart sells them and get that Divit tool and then pop it up. Make sure you align the new needle with the slot in the gauge shaft properly. You should see no problems with your speedo if you align them right. Post a picture White Needle sounds tough to see in the daytime.
  7. I am on Ebay and see this and just have to laugh. Then I get to thinking that Hey thats not a bad Idea. Visor Sticker Visor Sticker #2 I was thinking if maybe Autoguy or Craig could make this or something similar out of vinyl sheets.
  8. Yikes that sounds crazy.....the idle pops and snaps like a 427. I would be curious to know those dyno numbers.
  9. Leave him alone his name is "Bliss" and he is a good good guy. He's just a little ignorant! I have been kicking around the idea of a AMG sticker on the back of my SS too?
  10. I had the same problem with a jeep got really low on gas and sucked up dirt off the bottom of the tank. Clogged up my fuel Filter. ..........Check that its a $5 part anywhere. just trying to hlep
  11. Been a Notre Dame fan for 26 years. I am pulling for Michigan to help the Irish's standings.
  12. What harm can come from Welding this shaft together to eliminate the overlap in the intermidiate shaft? Not saying I am going to rush out and do this but sorta thinking about it. or like someone else said can we put a grease fitting on it? As you can maybe tell I have not removed mine yet
  13. Okay get this one the Survey tells me I am from the West with almost no accent. But I grew up in very very upstate New York and Canada. Who knew they were the same?
  14. I have tried it in the past and the waiting just kills me. I moved a few years ago and there is a Microbrewery within 10 minutes of my house. Now when I get the urge for some beer I just make the commute over and get a "log" keg.
  15. Yeah I am confused on this one. Our trucks are Body On Frame vehicles. You only use Strut Tower Braces on a Unibody car/SUV. Or do you mean something else?
  16. Congrats thats a handsome looking boy. I bet with your genes he will start detailing the vehicles in another day or so. Use the cloth diapers as polishing clothes instead of for his bottom. LOL
  17. I could be very wrong here but I was told there is the same part number for Chrome or the Stock Brushed finishes. You just had to specify when ordering which one you wanted. Can anyone confirm this? I think GMparts direct will be getting a wave of orders if thats the case.
  18. You can take this post down.... BigTex hooked me up with a Throttle Body! Now to get out the dremel and the sand paper. Also had considered chroming the TB after I get it smoothed out in hopes of getting better flow on that surface. thats my newest project.
  19. Hey guys I am looking for a Throttle body that I can modify. Does anyone have one for sale. GMpartsdirect has them but they are over $120 tying to find a used one cheaper. Thanks in advance.
  20. I think the people you are asking dont want to do it. It is very possible and more than Likely my next mod. All you need to do is TOTALLY disassemble the mirror then use some acrylic body filler and carefully fill that dimpled texture. Then after hour if not days of sanding them to be smooth and level shoot it with Piant. Not going to get into the fastest color debate right now. But its not that hard to do good paint/body work. Its all in going slow and methodical for the prep work. I like your plan though. I remeber a Yellow SSS picture on here and it was done to that truck. Looked nice.
  21. I am looking for one too. I dont know the GM part number thats the big thing holding me back. Good luck in the search if you find a lead please pass it on to me aswell. Barney
  22. I would never do over the rail on a truck unless its a work truck! You cannot change your mind with that stuff, once its on .....its on!
  23. Smith and Wesson makes a great Alarm/Security package!!
  24. Always Mobil 1 with some Zmax addative. Thats Mobil 1 in the axles, the Tranny, the engine. I change oil about every 2500 miles and no problems for 40k.
  25. I for one have never heard of that company before! Sounds like a nice set up but looks mostly like a cosmetic change and a Radix. Anyone else know more?
