Big O...........THAT did it for me. I am headed to the Garage right now to paint! I like the looks of the Arrival Blue and the Black Fusion. Thanks for the picture

use platic primer and then Chrome Duplicolor paint. That was the plan. But then you have to Clear over the top to bring out the shine. The Fusion seems to be the all in one. With all that said I am still waiting....

I have been kicking around this same idea. I came down to Chrome Paint vs. Black Fusion Paint. I have had a can of each sitting on my kitchen counter for about 2 months debating on this one!! I guess Black is what everyone is saying?

Well if you take them off you can sand and paint the stock emblems or you can try something I wanted to do with putting a decal off Ebay over the top of the stock Emblems. I think this would work out well. Ebay Emblems

Nice looking pair of wheels. I like to ride too but whenever I do a fun race they put me in the damn Clidesdale group, I tell you the world is out to get big boned people!! I have an old Titan, a Mongoose Pro, a Cannondale and have been looking into Trek. Let me know how you like it once you get riding. What shifter/parts group you got on that thing?

I am going to sound unAmerican and I did have a house in Montreal and NY growing up, but I hate Baseball. If you are not at the game drinking a beer every few minutes its the most boring sport in the world. It is too slow to keep my attention. Lacrosse, Hockey, Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, anything else..... just no Baseball for me!!

I can live with the headlights but the nerf bars look ridiculous on a sport truck. And I would probably take off the Chrome Door handles and the Brake Vents dont look so good in Chrome. I would maybe consider doing the Brake Vents in black paint to make them blend with the black wheels, deep tint and the black SS on the bowtie. What is the rubber flap on the underside of the Radiator support for? I would move an intercooler (if that is what it is) to behind the bumper grille. but thats just my humble opinion I love monochromatic. P.S. the exhaust through that sick roll pan is a trick idea. Never would have though of that one on my own. Have fun at SEMA.

By all means follow Dylan's method with the DER. I did and I am a firm beleiver/user now. Dont skip the Clay Bar step! Thats what made it POP! Dont forget Dylan is the Detailing Savant....so take his word as gospel. Barney

I have also seen a company or two on eBay that sells a sticker that covers this up. One was funny something like the stock warning sticker with a picture of a bra with the quote "warning this is a silverado ss equiped with a 6.0 liter engine. the torque from this engine is imense and will possibly allow loose clothing to be torn free of the wearer. Make sure all loose clothing is removed. The manufacturer also warns against: Tight fitting clothing will cut off circulation be sure to remove clothing with tight fitting elastic such as bras and panties" --I think this is funny but dont think it will go on mine anytime soon The second company makes a cover up sticker that you can get custom color selections with the SS logo in the proper font. They mainly have avalanche logos but I sent them the Sil. SS logo and they said it can be done. Didnt order since I wanted to see a sample via photo first and they wanted a confirmed order first.

Cody, Well a few years back My father went in for the Heart Surgery too. I know how you feel the guy that was the stongest, bravest, most involurnable guy you know in such a dangerous dare I say helpless condition after the surgery. But you then realize how well modern medicine has come and how strong the Parents can really be. I do know how you feel! If I can help out with any advice please let me know. I normally dont like the scoops that are not part of the hood. But this guy did his research. It doesnt have that tell-tale lip around the edge that everyone knows is double sided tape underneath. I think if you took more time and filled the seam with body filler and painted it that hood would be impossible to tell it was not one piece. I am not going to run out and get one that is not functional but this looks really good.

Try georgiarugmasters.com they have a SS logo that matches the Silverado SS font. You can get them in about 20 colors with many different combinations and border Piping. Barney

I added some new APC bulbs from AutoZone. I have an Arrival Blue and the bulbs have blue glass so when youlook in you see the Blue reflection. Also put them in for the back up lights. Much brighter and definately a Blue/White look. Makes my whole driveway glow when I unlock the truck at night.

Looks great!!!!!! One more suggestion. get a set of the Sylvania Silverstar signal lights. They look silver until you turn them on. Gets rid of the "Fried Egg" look according to Sylvania I like them a lot over stock.

Here is the Brembo Catalog in PDF. go to page #9 and look at the options. I dont know the price but I would say it would cost $5k for the Brembos (thats each axle). I have a friend with a Porche and her car brakes great they use a Brembo design as do the new Ferrari's If I was going with the SSBC. I would get the Force 10 kit. They have a kit for our trucks and I like their rotors better than Baers. Remember 20" or larger wheels need the brake upgrades.

Just keep in mind, Stippers and Exotic dancers are totally different things.

Thats a nice set up. I know the SSBC does not like drilled rotors they feel they are weak and crack over long period. I dont know that I would pay that much for standard caliper brakes. I would look into calipers with opposing pistons for the money. I have not seen anyone do the Brembos you may want to give them a try.

The Blue truck would make me Happier.

I have a Blue 2003 and all the grilles are gray not black. My advice would be to take them out and paint them with the new Krylon Fusion. It works great!!! Best of luck.
