23 lbs with only 1% bf thats incredible! Since jan I gained about 18 lbs with like 3% bf lol. So you did something right. But our strength in sets is pretty much the same, EXCEPT SQUATS, I dread working out my legs so I usually skip out on them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I took Superdrol for 3 weeks, then Ergomax for another 3 weeks (with thistle milk caps for liver protection) and saw weekly gains in strength and size while maintaining a low fat diet (though in mass quantities 5-6 meals a day). Then followed with proper PCT called Rebound XT and continued thistle milk caps. Now with the high reps and cardio (plus playing volleyball one night a week), I'm seeing the weight melt off. If I can get to single digit fat percent (or at least close) I'll feel pretty damn good. BTW, do the legs!!! It makes everything easier in daily life... I especially notice that pushing the lawn mower is much easier this year!!!

Are you serious? Where the hell did you read that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's actually been on several alternative fuel source websites, and even CNN about genetically altered micro-organisms. In this case, it was yeast that were altered to be able to produce the ethanol more quickly from the source weeds/corn stalks/etc. In more than one case, they made a yeast that worked so well and so quickly, that it could kill live plants in their hunger for the sugar in the plants. If these were ever somehow introduced into the world, they could "kill" the soil by quickly eating what ever was trying to grow there... Growing genetically modified plants that produce more ethanol can "kill" the soil too... I'm glad these plant bio-techs are doing their job... I shudder to think what could really happen if a terrorist knew half of what these guys kill off in a lab for being to dangerous for the world...

The last couple of updates I did for lifting have gotten some pretty good responses from this board. I've gained over 17-18 pounds of muscle since January with only one bulk cycle (gained 23 pounds total, and gained only 1% body fat gain to 17%). I'm now on a cutting cycle and doing high reps/cardio and am already down to 13% body fat and dropped almost 10 pounds in the last week and a half. I never knew I had the genes for this body building thing, otherwise I would have done it in my 20's when it could have really counted!!! Stats: Dead lift: 275/315/365/405 by 10/8/6/4 rep sets Bench: 185/225/245/245 by 10/8/6/4 rep sets Squat: 275/315/365/365 by 10/8/6/4 rep sets Those are my 3 favorite workouts on "heavy weeks", but now that I'm doing the lower weight/high rep, I like the lat pull downs the best. Every workout I do weights that I can barely reach 18-20 reps for 4 sets, then do cardio for 30-45 minutes on the eliptical. Feel the burn!!!!

Yeah, up until recently, E85 was actually quite a bit cheaper than it is now, and in some places it still is cheaper per mile to run. The "demand exceeding supply" is driving the price up on it actually. In other states where the E85 has to be driven into the holding stations, riding on dino burning trucks, the dino fuel costs are pushing E85 out of reach as a cost effective alternative. One danger of all of this ethanol push is the genetic mutations of the organisms (mainly yeasts) that turn straw/corn stalks/beans/grass/weeds/sugar cane/etc into ethanol is that something could get released into the food chain that we don't want there. In worst case, it could mutate the yeast into plant eating machines that could clear the whole world of vegetation in less than a decade. Wouldn't that be fun?

Let's use the Silverado listed... Today's local E85 price: $2.10 E85 to go 100 miles at 11 MPG = $19.10 E85 to go 100 miles at 14 MPG = $15 Today's premium price: $2.89 Gas to go 100 miles at 15 MPG = $19.27 Gas to go 100 miles at 19 MPG = $15.21 As E85 becomes more available, the price will go down. As production methods improve, the price will go down. I'm not saying we're going to see a buck a gallon or anything, but it is nice to have increasingly better options being forced out of the transportation industry in order to keep internal combustion alive. I don't know about you all, but I can't see myself driving an electric car any time within my lifetime... It would be kinda embarrassing to be going down the road making fart/motor noises as I speed up while remembering "this cool truck I used to have way back when..."

It won't cost more here in Iowa. Mid grade Ethanol blend 89-90 octane is cheaper than 87 octane here, it's the cheapest of all of the choices! The E85 will get the same tax breaks since it's a renewable Iowa resource (actually several midwestern states sell mid grade 15% Ethanol blend cheaper than the 87 octane crap). The Ethanol blends cost you people out of the corn belt more because your state charges more for the taxes on that gas. By the way, find a station here: http://www.e85fuel.com/database/search.php There are only 4 listed in Cali, but tons more are coming everywhere! The higher octane would give you a better margin of saftey with boost. I'd run it if at all possible...

How about replacing it with Dios Aguave Tequila, and or Cava Antigua Tequila direct from Jalisco, Mexico (co worker went on a trip to Puerto Vallarta a month or so ago)... some Juarez Triple Sec... add a few limes, and some Finest Cal 'rita mix... I think we have the greatest boss... She's 4 hours away and never come down to visit!

With an octane rating of 100-105 for E85 ethanol, what would need to be changed to run it in an SSS? Timing tables could jump a bit, and you could probably go a bit leaner on cruise modes... Has anyone been doing anything with E85 yet? It's the cheapest gas in Iowa because our taxes are lowest on ethanol blends since it's a renewable Iowa resourse (corn). geesh to make 90HP is easy with just a cam alone on these trucks all you have to do is make sure the guy who told you to bore the engine for no good reason doesnt do the work because you only need to bore the engine if theres a problem with ring seal or some other reason to rebuild the entire engine btw zippy whats wrong with writing without any punctuation I dont see any problem with it other than your sentances can take on an entirely new meaning if people dont know where to stop reading where one thought ends and another begins how that?

Besides your driveline is completely different from a 2wd. The change in the drivline angle is going to be more drastic in the 2wd because the rear half of the drive shaft is shorter than yours so the angle on the 2wd is going to be greater with the same amount of drop. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahhhhh, didn't know the 2WD stuff was different in the rear end. I just wanted to chime in that Robert's roll pan is worth every penny! It's ten times higher quality than I got when I ordered a Street Scene's pan for my old S-10. I used white paint as a guide coat (comes in black gel-coat) and block sanded my new BSER roll pan and it barely needs a skim coat to be flat (not wavy and flimsy like the Street Scene one). I'm going to be putting mine on within the next few weeks after I paint it up (as soon as the humidity reaches acceptable levels). Thanks Robert!

Yeah, I've seen that design of engine before too. They had a smaller one with only a dozen or so moving parts that could out power a SBC back in the 80's when Carrol Shelby was looking for something exotic for the Shelby Series 1...

I'll have to find a way to rip and post my sled videos... I have one taken up in the hills of Nothern Wisconsin, where I was side hilling, then did a "can can" off of a 12' high cornice on the way down! I also have a vid of me setting a class record at "Hay Days" grass drags for stock prepped 600 triple for 106 MPH in 1000'. I'm sure the record doesn't stand any longer though as that was back in '97-'98 season with my not so stock ZRT 600. It's only cheating if you get caught!

Plus, I'm removing the rear bumper and installing a roll pan to offset the stereo weight... then there's the cam/heads/headers/exhaust/intake that's coming as well to offset it even further.

Yeah, I hear ya on the gear ratio and unsprung weight. I've been eyeing the American Racing RTS wheels lately... just need to find out their weight before going through with any purchase. 105 pound of unsprung weight is a HUGE difference! Tread design has the most to do with tire noise though, plus I will have a fully deadened interior this summer to kill even more road noise.

Nothing is wrong with people in Iowa. We want to shoot her too! I used to work out at STARC Armory/Camp Dodge as a civilian (one of the sites they protested several times, even before these recent funeral protests) and we used to walk down to the gates and argue with them over lunch for fun! I even got in trouble once for being on local TV in my McLeod work shirt... oops... This new level of sickness requires action. We need to protest the protesters at the next local military funeral around here. I'll call some buddies out at the National Guard and see if they can help me out (hopefully there isn't one for a loooooooooooong time though ).
