I outrun RC srt-10's all day long on the street. There real strong up top, but can you imagine trying to hook up 500+ ftlbs of torque with a 6spd and 22" low profile tires with no weight on the rear?? Not exactly the best combo for stop light battles. I think I'm leaving this thread alone for now, it seems like we've over run the site with hemi ram's.LOL

I don't doubt you one bit that it had a hemi emblem on there. I just know that as far as I know, no one in the country has mated a 5sp manual in a 1500 ram with the 5.7 .

Not likely with that mph. It should be close though around 14.0-14.2.

My mistake, I forgot you can get a manual in the 2500's. Motorider, that's not a transplant your going to want to do. If your thinking about using that as a performance tranny, you just need to go drive one with it.

I can guarantee it wasn't a hemi. ;) There's not a option when it comes to trannys. We're stuck with a 5spd auto, that will for sure not bark 2nd and third with those mods. To the best of my knowledge there's only been one tranny transplant into the hemi rams, and it was a old 727.

I should add that the total cost to rent the track is 4800 dollars. So if we have more than 48 trucks pay you will get reimbursed however much the differnce comes to. It's also looking like we may get a few magazines to cover the event, so hopefully we can get a few sponsors. Comp cams is based out of Memphis.TN, so were trying to get them to put up a little money.

Hey all. We're going to be renting out Memphis Dragway the 10th of Feb, 2007. Were hoping to get between 50-75 trucks to show up. The cost will be 103 dollars per truck, there will be no other vehicles there racing except for the trucks that help pay for the cost to rent the track. It's looking like were going to break it down into classes, 3500-4000 lbs,N/A, 3500-4000 lbs Power adder, 4000-4500 N/A.ETC ETC. If anyone shows any interest I'll post a link to the original thread over from one of my dodge sites. I'd like to see some of yall there.

Yeah, when it shifts into third at around80 it falls on its face. I'm hoping my new stall will help that some. It was hot that day too, a cold front came through today, I'll get another vid. It's a lot faster up top in the cold weather.

Hemitruckclub is mroe of a family oriented type deal that would rather talk about what you ate for dinner than any kind of performance mods....

Seems to be a solid gain all throughout the rpm range. But above 5 grand this cam really comes alive. I'll be heading to the track next weekend to know for sure. Without the cam, i ran a 13.8 now I'm hoping to be in the 13.5's or so...

That's cool. I probaly won't go till after thanksgiving. I'm putting a bigger cam the day after, so maybe I'll be in the low 13's...

I went to that track about a month ago. It wasn't preped worth a crap then either... Last, year they kept it good and sticky, but so far this year all I've done is spin there. Let me know the next time you go, and I'll bring my ram out there so you can beat up on it.LOL.

A 02 WS6 caught my eye at the local dealership the other day. I stopped to look at it and they wanted 22,500 for it and it had 38,000 miles on it I though that was high, but the resale has probaly went up since they quit making them. Oh yeah, get the WS6.

Are the canyons/colorados still built on the same platform as the trailblazers?? If so a colorado with a LS2 would be badass, they weigh next to nothing.

Good kill..(kinda) I'd like to run into one.LOL. Motorider, there's a guy with a tune, UD pulleys, efans, headers, and a converter running 12.6 on the factory tires. The TBSS have the 6.0 LS2 with 395hp stock.
