  1. Ive heard of this before with the 03&04 PCMs. On the 04, the lines read different than the 03s. There is no problem with the tune itself and I dont believe is a problem, just the fuel gauge reading backwards.

  3. I was reading previous threads about aftermarket T stats mainly 160*s and noticed that for 04s you didnt have to buy the housing for the Tstat, just the module itself correct? Now I'm an 03 so would that mean I need to buy everything (housing included). I'm looking to do this mod as soon as I get the info on it and get retuned for it. Thanks

  4. I looked it up through Cadillac Escalade with the LQ9 cause they didnt show any for our trucks. I also checked with the 4.8 & 5.3 if they were interchangable and I BELIEVE they are.???

  5. Brad, how much did the pulleys set you back? I'm assuming there Underdrive pulleys, not just a smaller pulley for the Radix as I cannot see the pics here right? Also if they are U/D pulleys, what kind of performance are you looking at picking up? I remember reading a little about em but forgot how and or what effect they do to pick up the HP. Someone fill me in on this.

  6. Ya, the driver def wasnt the best and thats why I was suprised by the outcome of the race. If he had been a better driver, he would of had me sooner. It happens, I had a friend run his 94 GT with bolt ons and street tires against an evo 8 with cams, exhaust,intake and dp , if it was strictly a #'s race, the evo should win hands down. In this instance, the evo missed 2nd and even bogged from the line by revving too high and the 94 GT with boltons won. Things happen

  7. you described the truck as "tan/pewter" in color. to me "mineral grey" is by no means tan or pewter. thats why this whole argument started. yea i named all of those colors except for the grey, so what i still know the srt-10 never cam in a "tan" or "pewter"

     

    this is a "pewter" colored ram which looks nothing like "minearl grey" posted above. I said it could never be an srt-10 based on you color description if you look back to my first post. so take your panties out of a bunch. and put your ego back on the pedastal! cheers! :cheers:

     

    Ok, Yes, I described it in a tan/pewter color which was the best I could do without looking up the SRT10 actual colors for that I appologize.

     

    Look man, I'm not here to tell you I can take out SRT10s and my chevy is better than any dodge,ford etc. I respect all muscle trucks such as SRT10s and give them all credit. I'm not trying to inflate my ego because lets face it, I'm typing this on a computer, not face to face with you. As far as my panties, I have noticed that my camel toe was increasing with these new elastic band panties, what brand are you using...crotchless? Thong? Parachutes? maybe I can get some suggestions? Anybody else having this problem.

  8. im not going to try to find a picture. they are out there. and if you go to the dodge site you can build a 310hp 4.7 ram with a 6 speed manual in the khaki color. it could have easily been a hemi with an auto im sure you physically didnt see his stick shift. a rc hemi with little mods could easily pull on your truck. im just stating the facts. it wasnt an srt-10. a truck that runs mid 13s stock vs your 15s truck would have dusted you. it was a srt-10 clone. either a 4.7 or a hemi. but if the guy said it was a 6 speed then it was a 4.7. just my .03 not trying to start a bashing match. it was a nice run none the less. just trying to stop some confusion :cheers:

     

     

    Well, since the picture was posted above you wolnt have to do that anymore. Oh, so you were in the passenger seat with me now huh? I couldnt have possibly saw the stick shift right? WRONG! I saw him put it into neutral as my truck sits a little higer than his AND I heard him banging the gears when we took off. Again, it was not a hemi automatic becasue as I've said 3 or 4 times, I saw the stick shift and heard him banging the gears AS WELL AS him laying down a good spin from the line. I know 4.7's and HEMIS can spin tires also but when you put these items together, it all makes sense.

     

    My truck is no drag strip monster but it certainly is not a 15 sec truck either. With my mods and 20's, I ran 14.71 which I guess if you round UP you can get a 15sec truck.

     

    You start bashing me calling BS on my story saying no way it was an srt 10 blah blah it would rape you blah blah. Have you ever watched a race where you are almost sure that 1 vehicle will win over the othere even before they lined up BUT the other one wound up winning due to driver error by the higher hp/ better et car? On the street, it comes down to drivers. I could run your SUPER HEMI that "is capable of running 13's" and you blow a head gasket on your dodge and I wind up winning.....that kinda sh*t happens

     

    Bottom line is you dont even know the colors that Dodge has for SRT10's before you start running your mouth like an idiot. Case closed, the mineral grey WAS the color and thats the end of it.

  9. Actually, in '04 they came in Flame Red, Black, Silver(pictured below) and a very rare Blue with White racing stripes(also pictured below) sold only to VCA members and only 50 were made.

    In '05 they added the Yellow Fever edition and the Commemorative edition(White with Blue stripes).

     

    In '06 they had the Inferno Red, Night Runner edition(Metallic Black), and Mineral Gray(pictured). The Mineral Gray can look Pewter and/or brown depending on the lighting conditions. That is the color I think he was looking at in a SRT-10 Ram not 4.7L.

    Ladies and Gentelmen , the break in the case lies in this post above me. So the dodge guy that was telling me I was up against a 4.7L worked over going on and on about srt10 would dominate and theres no way this could have possibly happened DOSENT EVEN KNOW WHAT COLORS THE SRT10 RAM COMES IN ! FOR FUTURE REFERENCE HEMIRAMON20'S, DO A LITTLE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU RUN YOUR MOUTH ON THIS BOARD.

     

    SRT10KILLER, thank you for your pictures to back my story. That was exactly the color of the one I ran.

  10. Heres my story about XM and why I will tell everyone I know NOT to buy it. I had asked for a 1 month subscription which was agreed upon by the lady on the other line charging me 11.95 for the initial activation and 13.95 for the month of October totalling around $26. I recieved my cc statement and it showed $57 to my account WTF! I had specifically stated 1 month and had the lady repeat it on the other end. I speak with the subscription person and she shows me being down for quarterly XM radio meaning 3 month fee of $57. After about 20mins of holding I was able to speak with the manager to have my $ refunded.

     

    Next statement, $ was refunded in $31 to my account. life is good. Next month, I am still recieving XM radio and think nothing of it. I get Decembers bill of ANOTHER $26 charged to my cc WTF!!!!! Call and complain a 2nd time and they say ooh our mistake, heres your refund and at this point I told her TOTALLY REMOVE me from the system. I am removed and XM is shut off and $ refunded. January I get a bill from XM AGAIN!!!! THATS IT, I call and am pretty disturbed now for another $14 charge to my account. I call and tell her about my past problems and she says since you called on the 16th of the month you ar eonly being refunded for half of your CC statement. THIS IS BS especially because I never listen to it since November.

     

    This is why I will always DEFER business from XM radio. Lesson learned. They continue to charge you account until you physically call and have it removed from their system. Lets say you sign up for 6months, they charge you 6months on that initial month its activated and charge you when it expires to reup your subscription...no heads up, just swipe your card again for another $75 bucks. Thats how they get you.

  11. there are 4.7s out there that run 14s on motor highly modded with cams/etc. what did the truck sound like a ricer or a muscle truck?

     

    tan is not silver. tan whould be the champaign color that they come in and only available for non-srt -10 trucks. it was more then likely a 4.7 with nitrous. you cant tell a person is running nitrous just by the way it sounds you know. he didnt necessarily have to purge before he raced you. if it was the newer 2008 4.7L that are 310hp with 6 speeds and are faster then a RC 03-08 hemi it is very possilbe to pull on you being basically stock. the 09+ hemi's will have 380hp. just trying to help you guys get your facts straight. :cheers:

     

    oh and for the record its very possible to beat a SS in a rc hemi. i raced a member from this site (wezarrSS&R1) three years ago when all i had for my truck was an intake and exhaust in my 2wd QC hemi that weighted 5400lbs. he won one race. i won one race. and we tied the last race going from 0-90ph or so. so i dont see why a rc hemi with intake exhaust and superchips wouldnt lay a SS in its dust. those three mods alone put rc hemi's in the 14.2 1/4 club.

     

    Well, unless this 4.7 was totally stock engine with an SRT10 exhaust tip, full apperance package, rims, a 6spd transmission, ON THE BOTTLE and extremely quiet all at the same time again, it WAS NOT a 4.7. I am VERY aware of RC 4.7s that are capable of running 14's, hell, they could even run 13s maybe but like YOU stated, they are HIGHLY modded with cams, etc as you put it. Now, contrary to what you may think, I am not a 15 year old kid who got tossed a set of keys and knows nothing about vehicles and what they sound like, how they are built and the difference between an engine with an aftermarket cam and a stock cam as I have had 3 other vehicles which I have done my own cam swaps on and assisted in about 2 others. The truck sounded like a muscle truck and I'm pretty sure I could have heard the difference at the light idiling.

     

    Next, just to clarify, can you post a picture of this 4.7 that you think I was matched up against? Find me a picture of this 08 with the 4.7 in the color you speak of and I will tell if that is it or not.

     

    I would agree with you on the fact that a HEMI RC can take down an SSS. Being a single cab which is a SIGNIFICANT amount of weight less with almost the same C.I. and hp/tq #'s ummmmm it should be able to beat a truck that weighs the SS'S weight. Also , who said anything about a RC with those mods NOT laying an SS in its dust as you put it. If you were referring to my previous post, I never clarified what those mods were. Now that I need to clarify those, the mods were exhaust, intake, TB spacer but he had 24's....hmmm that might have made a difference huh?

  12. if he knew how to drive, you would have been toast from off the line. The tourge them trucks make is no joke,,,,some caltracs and QA1 shocks and the RC SRT 10 launches like a mad man

     

    Thats whats great about a street race, it can all be determined by the drivers.

     

     

    i hate to break it to you bud, but that wasnt an srt-10. they only come in red, black, silver, some special editions white w/ blue stripes or the yellow fang which is all yellow.

     

    if it was a manual and you know for sure it was... then it was a 4.7. if it was an automatic it was probably a hemi.

     

    id say it was a hemi that someone added the srt-10 apperance package to if i had to guess. its very common. they even add the srt-10 badging.

     

    Ok Bud, I apologize for the color confusion, my mistake. I KNOW it was a manual trans as I heard him banging the gears so again, thats out of the question. Its a possibility that it was a SRT clone with the apperance package but I can guarantee you that a 4.7L would not outrun my SS. Also, I believe you said if it was a manual trans, it would have to be a 4.7 correct? Again, this was no 4.7L I have ran some HEMIS with boltons and have won in those races against a Hemi both Single Cab and QC so unless this guy was spraying which he def wasnt, I cant see it being anything but an SRT10

     

     

    yea I missed that,,,, no color like you describe was made in a srt 10,,,,,,but I also dont believe that a hemi would pass you like that unless he had some juice

     

    Yes I believe you are correct also, as I stated before, I have ran a couple hemis QC and SC and this was no HEMI. However, the driver did not get a good launch and it caused me to have a lead for longer than I should have.

     

     

    Guys, I have no reason to fabricate this, as I said, I was expecting to lose which I did so it was no suprise. If I was making this up, I would have said I ran him from a dig and he never caught up to me.
