  2. i agree, the SS name is bascially water'd down now. Gm has used that status on every model they make to try and boost sales. A true rare vehicle isnt modded its garaged and parked. a Clone is the one you mod and trash on... much rather cut up a fake then a real deal Honestly the RCSB should be the only truck with the status SS
  3. my gauge reads the same thing. im thinking the sensor might be bad as for location suppose to be suppose to be in the header by the collector, further away it gets leaner it reads. Driverside is preferred since its the 1st bank
  4. inline is more of a bandaid then anything. my other question is why use off a hobbs switch? i run my 2 pumps at same time and my idle isnt overly rich or anything. nice solid fuel psi at all times. i dont like the hobbs switch thing cause its one more thing that can fail

  6. i was thinking of going a cell with a external pump. the one from magnafuel for around 450 was what i was eyeing up. im going on my second set of walboros. if this set goes im going to external sooner then expected
  7. with that many pumps i would just get a large external pump. thats to many variables to deal with. remember the saying KISS....keep it simple stupid!!!

  9. Bill contact Brian at JJs automotive. i believe you know of him, he used to post on Lou's board. His guy is the man at building trannys and hes down the street from brians shop. He did my race 60e years ago and that took abuse like a trailer park wife. I plan to have him build my 80e as well. he does very good work for the price. You wont touch any other trans for his prices and warrenties them for awhile too!!!!!!!
  10. stock 6.0 coils FTW as for plugs if your running any type of high compression, N20, or boosted motor Tr6 is all that should be on your mind unless youre special and need TR7/TR8 plugs typical NA motors under 11.0 can run TR55
  11. return setups are 58 psi at 0 vaccum, as boost increases you should see 1psi gain for every pound of boost. at idle that depends on cam and how well the truck idles. i only have 13" of vaccum so my idle fuel psi is 53. yes as you rev the motor the fuel psi should change. the issue to worry about is how the fuel pressure is once in boost. does it climb and hold at X amount or does it climb then drop off as boost and rpm go? this is the issue

X psi on this combo isnt the same as X psi on that combo heres my fab'd dual pump. isnt the prettiest but does get job done my fuel gauage works, my low fuel light works. everything work as stock. i cant see paying 450 bucks for other ones unless just lazy or dont have skills to work on your own stuff

  16. so above 4200 its 5* how about when the turbo hits? what is timing at that point? for my boosted table i have anything over 76 g/cy my timing goes from 20 down to 16. since mysetup at various speeds and rpms i can load turbo differently. one thing with a turbo is your dont tune like you do NA for timing or fuel. NA its simpler as its a set value. also a thing with turbo is to set PE delay to zero now not saying this timing table is Ideal but works very well for me with my combo. never any KR and pretty fast spooling and decent throttle response off boost

  19. o never heard of them. a turbo'd auto vehicle is actually pretty simple to tune, my 6spd setup isnt to tricky either. my 42s were limited to 9psi on my setup but thats apples to oranges. do you have a fuel psi guage? if so get one asap that inline pump isnt helping you. if you plan to get greedy as we all do plan to do dual intank pumps. a single pump only supports my combo at 9. on 13psi i lose psi fast. a single intank is only good for about 500rwhp
  20. im still lost how you say crappy tuner but everytime you speakon it, it checks out. anything with XS i'd be very cautious about. i have a greddy EBC and i run a 5lb spring. my EBC on low i can see as high as 18psi. i havent yet clicked on the high side. if you knew you had boost issues with the controller why idnt you just bypass the controller and run souly off the spring? this would of been a safter and smarter thing to do then just play with throttle. also a stock motor can hold more psi then many assume. the reason the motor fails is cause of tunes. these motors from factory are very stout and have proven themselves plenty of times. high IATs and a lean tune is why they fail. if you dont mind me asking who did your tune the first time?
  21. what size spring do you have now? also i thoughtyou said it was fat in the lowerend? cause that is ideal and is not fat
  22. curious what is 5% timing? i run 18* timing rather im at 9lbs of boost or 18lbs of boost. 5% of what? so your saying off boost its that fat? it would foul plugs being that fat. 14.7-15.8 off boost then in boost i decline till i reach 10.8/11.0 just curious thats all
  23. i remember meeting up in local lot waiting for 8pm to roll down to the industrial park where hours of racign would exist and no 4 bangers. cars trailerd in and etc. old classics,modern performance and some joe smoes. as years went on that first FNF came out and so did all the fuking idiots on the planet thinking mom's car was fast cause they installed a bike muffler. so cops started to come and idiots did more shit, then they threw a 40oz off the police car then no more rear cars came down. then you had cars with PS2 installed thinking they had the hot ticket. next following year it died also remember cruising streets of PGH for hours just burning gas for hell of it, now you cant do that cause it draws to much attention being in packs. years ago as stated 12s street ride you were spoken about for counties, now if your not 9s just pack up and let big boys race
  24. so you have a stock motor basically with small injectors? and first you say he added 5% timing now he took some timing out? your previous tuner { i have no idea who is} probably set your truck up fat so it wouldnt get wounded. not mention if you dont have mods that increase airflow your base tune will be pretty much the same as it was till you go over 105kpa
  25. how about the SS that runs almost 11 flat on stock motor with a turbo kit built by Hellsbents10. cant think of his name i think its chris?
