    Game over.....that spike i had from the spring being wrong from Tial did more damage then I originally thought. motor the last time i had it idling is now only 3in of vaccum and doesnt go up or down plus a tickin and i had noticed soem condensation in the exhaust at first fire up. never gave it one thought. the tune today just keep saying it was rich and other night it was spot on out of boost.

    no i had bought it used and knew floor was cracked. i had tried to fix it with some epoxy but i guess when i spiked those few times it blew the epoxy loose. ill tear it apart and fix it for the camaro

    updates. i had a cracked floor on my fast 90. so i had a idle and driving issue. swapped on the ls2 i had and made my rails work. first thing i noticed is the tune is now rich. ported fast vs ls2 no comparison. the fast was stronger out of boost ok i been having overboost issues. found them to be im using a tial 60mm gate. read that their springs were rated wrong. basically double. so my 15spring was seeing 30psi with no controller. makes sense why i seen a spike of 25 or so. tossed in the 10 spring and still seen like 20. i was pulling hairs at this point. i put in the 5psi spring and as the guy on tech said i would see double. and i did, i finally was able to go wot with control. the gauge is reading bout 8psi which take into account of pressure drop is right there with 10psi which is double the spring. im going to play with tune for now with no boost controller then hook up controller later on now as for comparision...at this current moment the truck isnt as fast as my 408. least i dont think so. if i had to compare this combo its probably right there with my 6litre. which im fine with i wanted 1/10th faster then the 6litre to start off at and this way i can get used to the turbo setup.
  5. 10-4 10-5 are the next TNTs at prp. i plan to be at either both or least one as long as my new found power dont find another weak link thats odd that pedal stuck. i wonder if you can get away with doing the drill mod as the Fbodys and trucks need to do
  6. at 440 a piece..something to think about. i have same wheels and tires for my camaro and drede replacing the tires
  7. i seen the car and seen you and your goup but never caught you run in the 11s. congrats. I did see rick go low 12s and that blue Z06 not gong anybetter then a mid 12
  8. in a 383 thats a small cam honestly. i would look for something little more aggressive. the 383 will eat that up

    yea the perches. the welds didnt hold. i know high rpms tax duty cycle but thought id still be good but guess not. only downfal with less rpm is the powerband on how this truck is. im going to find a smaller wastegate spring and run lower numbers and see why the wastegate isnt controlling the boost

    its already a 60mm waste gate. im going to toss in a smaller spring. also goign to put some type of restriction in the exhaust to help slow the turbo down. its just overspooling

    heres the carnage....... it broke hte welds on the perches. it snapped the U joint straps. we think it bent the shock. if you look you can see a huge dent in the gas tank shield this truck has no issue spooling the turbo. its the point that it over spools. my wastegat is set to 15.2 psi and i seen 19psi just off vaccum on hte wastegate. that was at 7666 rpms, 125% duty cycle on motron 60s. 12* timing i guess you can say im making some power some think i seen 19psi cause of my exhaust and just how fast this combo works. im overspooling it to the point the wastegate cant keep up __________________

    latest update......... i been tracing some bugs as of lately. one is a hard start. i tracked that down to the injectors bleeding down. this is after i had installed a checkvalve and tightned all hose clamps in the tank. ive also had my map scaling wrong. i had this corrected with some help from HPtuners forums. next issue was my scanner wasnt reading right and i was actually afraid to get into any throttle cause i didnt want to hurt this motor. ive gotten so much attention from the detail of engine bay. even one person said magizine worhty. now not sure but it was nice hearing that. now i need to get my meth working and i should be set. tomorro truck is going in for inspection then ill be able to legally drive the truck. today i installed my new axle perches and angled the rear at -3*. along with installing new perches and reangling the rear. i also installed these charging posts. for now they are in the fiberglass rollpan but over winter ill have them hidden behind the plate once i get a steel roll pan. these were installed cause its a pain to jump or charge this truck. the engine bay has to much paint/powdercoat on things and this is easier this way.... i guess im on hte border of race truck/street truck

    non the less the dude ran those times. now justin little more seat time and im sure low 11s at prp is possible. i get bugs worked out we can line up. i hope to make it there real soon

    i used a Kbracing Log, it has a 2.5 Vclamp on the bottom and the T4 flange up front. is that what you mean?

    toss on some DRs and run 10s like that one guy did stock. or practice alittle mor and go deep 11s on stock rubber with stock car
  21. lean, my scaling for my map is off and didnt know. so i guess all my tables arent right so it wont go into the higher kpa levels
  22. i didnt hink that the 4.8 would use that kind of duty cycle. but i guess in the case of turbo size of motor doesnt matter all that much. this thing is violent
  23. tonight i did a WOT run in 3rd and noticed my duty cycle at 82%. i have motron 60s with 58psi with 0 vaccum. this was at 15psi of boost. fuel system is dual 255s -8 feed -6 return. does thsi sound reasonable? also is there any reference to HP that is being made with this much duty cycle on properly setup fuel system?

    well i found out the map i bought was wrong one. guy on ebay sold me a 1 bar. so a buddy came thru with one from a TTA. so i was out driving just getting feel for turck it really needs tuned. its freaking loud!!!!!!! almost louder then my 408 loud. the turbo whistle is loud to point i cant hear my radio really. BOV can hear some but all you hear is turbo and exhaust. i hit 10psi by accident in 2nd gear at 50% throttle, didnt realize it. i looked over and was like opps time to shift.

I had purchased what i was told a 3 bar GM map sensor off ebay. now not sure if it is one or not. heres the info on it where it says CB A i have the following numbers under that 834 3113 has the GM trademark on top with 466 on back i have this next to teh plug AA1-6 now on back with nipple towards the right and plug at bottom first port is solid which is A second port has key way at 12oclock which is b third port has key way at 3oclock which is C there is no other numbers on this sensor...now is this a 3 bar map?
