  1. I ported just the throttle body. I didn't want to risk ruining the structural strength of the intake because of the horror stories about the ported tbss intakes. Install however isn't hard. Just don't drop anything into the heads. Just take your time and its not bad at all.

    This is the plug and play version.

    I used the splice version for half price.

    Thanks for the link. I was reading the ported intake horror stories too. I will probably just port the TBSS throttle body on mine. The only part of the install I am unsure of is the hose that goes back to the firewall on the drivers side (sorry not sure what the hose is) and how it connects. Do I just need to slide a piece of hose on the side by the firewall like it does in the intake?

  2. "If you use the TBSS injectors you will need injector adapters. mini delphi to ev6"

    Do you have a part number for these adapters? I didn't know I will need these. Also did you port the throttle body and the intake or just the throttle body? I am looking into porting both before I install mine. I'm not sure I trust myself to install mine on my own either...

  3. I have the Bassani headers and they fit great!

    Do you have the ss specific headers? Do you remember what you paid for them? I thought they would be in the 600-650 range. Also how so you like them compared to shorties, if you've had shorties that is.

  4. Most of the popular mild to mildly aggressive cams here on the boards like the Comp XR275HR, TSP220R, 224R, and 228R all have power bands that range from bewteen 1200 - 1800rpm all the way up to 6200 - 6800rpm depending on the cam....

    The XR265HR in question has a power band of 1200-6000 or 1400-6700 depending on the options you pick....

    I don't want to have to replace my TBTC just because of the cam size which I why I was thinking mild. Whats the difference really between the high lift and low lift of the XR265HR?

    And how do they compare to the Ligenfelter GT11 cam?

  5. Those would be fine for a DD nice mild cams, you could go bigger just all depends on what you want the cam to do and what rpm you want it to come on, lots of choices do your research, do you want it to lope? be a sleeper? How high do you want it to pull to, rpm wise? Just a suggestion TSP makes some good cams with your choice in LSA might check them out also

    I am clueless when it comes to all these things. I want something a little more than a sleeper but not to extreme. I had got those numbers from TSP. I guess I am looking more for suggestions for the mods I already have done since I don't know much about cams...

  6. My plan is just to have something DD friendly, able to do some towing (Double jet skit trailer and a 7x12 foot enclosed trailer), and something where I don't have to switch my TC out again. This would probably be my last power adder. Would something in the 220 range be better or worse? What do you recommend?

  7. What do you guys think is the best cam for my AWD DD with the following mods;

    Shiftkit, TBTC, Servos, AEM Intake, TBSS Intake, Ported TBSS TB, Shorty Headers, Dual Flowmaster 40s, Wheatly Tune

    I was looking at maybe the 212/218 .558/.563 115LSA or 212/218 .522/.529 114LSA with ls6 springs and hardened push rods (not sure what length though).

    Thanks for the help.
