  1. Where is everyone mounting there add on navigation units? I am thinking about purchasing the add on to my head unit, but I am not sure where it will be mounted. Also as anyone leaving the GPS antennas in the dash?

     

    DDM HIDs...Is anyone buying the ballasts brackets? Where are you moutning the ballasts? I am thinking about changing out my HIDs for lights that match and currently the ballasts are just thrown in the side by the fenders (wonderful shop work).

  2. If you use LED's as DRL's, they will not be very bright.

     

    That is the problem I am having right now...While I was getting my stereo worked on the guy at the shop threw in some DRL LED bulbs. They are not bright at all. I think they only have 18 LEDs. I was wanting to try something with more LEDS to see if they are brighter...What would you sugguest running?

     

    Also, What bulb goes under the side mirrors?

  3. Hi guys. I've had my crystal components and Memphis plate speakers for numerous years now and have held up great until late. My first question is has anyone used or heard focal speakers? How are they? I am also thinking of maybe doing two sets of components up front in the door and q logic kick panel. Has anyone done this set up and how do they like it? For the rear. Has anyone cut the hole in the door bigger to fit a 5 inch speaker? Thoughts on doing this?

  4. Is anyone here running LED bulbs as their DRL's? I got some for free the other day at my stereo shop and I am not sure that I like them. Mine are not that bright. I can't even see that they are on in the reflection of the cars infront of me at a stop light. Is anyone else's like this?

  5. Since youre application is a daily driver that 222/224 112 cam from Comp (XR275HR) is the one I'd also recomend. The main reason for that is the valve lift. The lift is only .566/.568 which with an LS6 spring should allow for over 100k mile valvetrain life. I would change the spring at the 100k mile mark though. If you want slightly more agressive I'd go with the 219/227 112 (269LrHR12) from Comp. That would give more torque for sure and a bit more hp. With that cam I'd recomend the Patriot Dual Gold springs which have a good life, but will likely need a valve job and guides by 100k.

  6. I am currently getting my TBSS intake and throttle body ported and wanted to get a mild cam with the install also. What I am wondering is if I can get heads for a decent price also should I? I am looking for something fun to drive as a daily driver. Only thing I tow is two jet skis and a small trailer with ATV.

     

    Ported TBSS inntake and throttle body

    LS2 timing chain

    LS6 valve springs

    Hardened push rods

    212/218 low lift cam

    Possible 243 heads?

     

    Opinions?
