  1. looks like theyre DMH cutouts: http://www.dmhperformance.com/ecutout.htm
  2. Just bought the pacesetters online from byunspeed.com...Now gotta wait till the truck comes back from the body shop for the install...Should a re-tune through Brian at PCMforless since I have added the catback and to be LTs since the first tune be needed? This site has done nothing but make me spend more money...
  3. Unfortunately they never have problems finding them for some reason
  4. There is a place by my work that does a decent job, after getting quoted $225 by some douche bag company in Newport, I found a hole in the wall shop by my work and they did the complete install of an already welded catback magnaflow and took out the old stock exhaust so I could give it to DCairns since he gave me the Magnaflow complete for free. They did it for $50.00, and DCairns recommended the place, plus they were working on a new C6 when I was there which i had to wipe the drool off the side of my face I think with the gracious bonus from the boss I may pull the trigger on the pacesetters, E-Cutouts (probably the cheap butterfly valve) and the install I think will put me back about $1,000 with install and parts. After hearing what you paid Chase it seems like thats the ballpark I was looking for... Is it just me or do the cutouts open not sound that much different than a catback? Maybe its cause you had to keep the revs at a limit, was that pre-blown?
  5. These are non ceramic coated for like $300 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-05-Chevy...6QQcmdZViewItem Ceramic Coating: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-05-Chevy...94284QQtcZphoto Chase, how much do you think it would be to get these installed? I know there will need to be some modification to the Magnaflow exhaust to the collectors and Im figuring this can be done in a day after I get the truck back next month
  6. Have a safe trip P, Cali is always a good time
  7. If hes forking over the payment per month, I think you should respect him and his decision of what he feels the best vehicle is for you, especially if he paying for your insurance and gas every month. My parents taught me at a young age you need to work for what you want in life, because once you get in the real life (away from the cushion of mom and dads bank account) you wont always have someone there to bail you out when you need money. Get a job, and make the payments yourself which will be in the range of $300-$600 depending on your credit and if the truck is new or used and the loan terms
  8. Im sure youve checked google, but the cheapest I found was $50... http://www.car-stuff.com/cs_auto/mmpb-vp/c...cs446d4ecfa8cb2 I thought the O2 sensors were supposed to last well past 100K, is the 408 doing the damage? As far as cleaning here is some idea from google again, then again I always thought you cant clean O2 sensors: "If you are not getting a voltage and the car has been running rich lately, the sensor may be carbon fouled. It is sometimes possible to clean a sensor in the car. Do this by unplugging the sensor harness, warming up the engine, and creating a lean condition at about 2000 rpm for 1 or 2 minutes. Create a big enough vacuum leak so that the engine begins to slow down. The extra heat will clean it off if possible. If not, it was dead anyway, no loss. In either case, fix the cause of the rich mixture and retest. If you don't, the new sensor will fail."
  9. Agreeded, this how I beat the game. There isnt much strategy involved in shooters. Are you more into RPGs? Obvilion is pretty good, but im not into those games
  10. I bought it for 360 and was a little disappointed in the selection of weapons, but the storyline is pretty decent. Unfortunately the scene in the trailer is no where to be found in the game which is a little misleading. Either way you should me able to cruise through the game in about 8-10 hours
  11. If you go to Tybrne a great supplier for go fast goodies on this site you can find 2004+ t-stat...Should be around $25 http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/truckcatalog.html
  12. My parents moved from SoCal to Conroe, Texas a few years back and own a 20 acre plot, and a 6 acre plot out there. I think 20 acres is huge and to think your parents own 40K in NM and a 1,500 acre parcel in Texas is rediculous... Only reason my parents moved qas to aquire a large amount of land, because historically the value of land can only go up. Nice pictures Mr. P
  13. You can roll your bills into the house only if someone is willing to sell you a house at less the retailed value of the house. Example: House appraised at 300K but the person is willing to sell it to you at 280K. Most mortgage companies wont even let you do this. The reason you hear about people rolling their debt into their mortgage is because they have "equity" within the home to refinance the home and pay off credit cards or loans. It would be easier if you wait a while and reduce your debt to increase your credit score and thus reducing your rate on the loan. In most cases you just need to make sure that your Debt to Income is less than 50% including current monthly payments and what your new mortgage will be plus homeowners insurance (Havent been in the mortgage business for 1.5 years). I always suggested fixed rate mortgages (15 or 30), and not the 5/1,7/1,10/1 ARMS a lot of people get into. This is due to the rates end up getting very high with these loans once they become adjustable which in some cases can cause people to go bankrupt or loose their house... To each their own though
  14. Had the same exact problem. Only happens at night when Im driving home from work. Its only happened 2-3 times in the last 4 months, and the cruise will begin to work again about 15 minutes of driving... Unfortunately I have nothing to offer as repairing the issue. Although im sure the dealer reflashing the module should work out well like the guy above
  15. I'm in as long as I get my truck back in time to do this. Unfortunately I was T-boned a few friday nights ago by a chick in a civic. Hit me hard enough right at the front of my rear end to pull my drive shaft out and move my rear end in a diagonal direction. $11,000 worth of damage later to the drive shaft, rear driver side tire/rim, "small frame bend" and a plethora of other things I wont get the truck back until late January to early February. So if its not running by the 13th, Id love to make a stop with some of you guys even though Im not up to par with the performance mods like Chase and Adam. Chase were you not able to find an AWD Dyno (I Know theyre rare in So Cal) that has tunning capabilities?
  16. I know when my transmission went bye-bye similiar to your situation (lost first gear...wouldnt move in Drive...and had to manually up shift from 2nd to 3rd...and then if I put the truck in drive it would move into 4th) I broke a few bands, pressure valves and the forward sprag...Maybe just a little of this information will help in you determining the culprit...Good Luck

    Ebay

Thats just gross. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wonder what used dress socks go for... Looks like I need to start putting some of my holey used socks on ebay...
  18. I have got some blacked out alreadyif you want to save the trouble! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can You send me some pictures of the tails also? Were they done via the how to here by Chase, or professionally? Email: [email protected]
  19. I would strongly suggest a shift kit on a stock SS. It gives you the extra security of knowing your tranny is a little bit stronger. Before I blew my tranny (only PCM Tune, Cat-Back and CAI) I thought a shift kit was worthless...Now I would recommend one to anyone who has the extra cash laying around to put one in especially if youre thinking of increasing the HP with the radix or any blower for that matter
  20. Well, I got the truck back about an hour ago, and the shift kit they put in her really makes your neck snap. I used to think after the PCM tune the truck was a new animal with the difference in shift points and pressures, but the shift kit adds the extra thump you expext when you change gears. I cant say how pleased I am with the service and how well the tranny performs compared to before. Definetly a different animal with the shift kit, I just wished I had the time to put in the TC... Thanks Again!
  21. Zippy you are a god...That was exactly what I broke...I couldnt remember what it was when he told me...but now that you mentioned it that was an additional part that needed to be replaced And yes I didnt get the TC, due to the fact I may not have received the truck back before the end of the week because that is the one part they do not keep in stock. T-Minus 1 hour before I pick the truck up...I will give you guys a break down of the exact damage I did once I get the bill
  22. Sounds like an issue I had with mine. You may want to take it to the dealer if it is still under warranty. I had to have a couple bands, valves and something else changed within the trans...Definetly no bueno after I got the bill
  23. Well I talked to Kendall about an hour ago. He said its about 1,000 worth of damage and labor costs, add in their shift kit it comes around to 1,200 with labor. So i definetly am not happy about the whole issue. But i caused the problems. Either way he said a couple of the bands were toast, some of the pressure valves, and something else which I cant remeber since I know nothing about the transmission. When i get the bill I will scan it and post it on here. Either way for those guys to work till 7pm tonight to get the truck ready for open tomorrow so I can barely be late for work is probably the best service Ive ever received given how labor intensive the transmission is. Either way, thanks to Chase, and Dylan for the recommendation.
