  1. If anyone has the chance to pick up a copy of motor trend or atleast take a look at it while at the store it has pictures of all the new models of the silverado/sierra that will be introduced late 2007. I still personally dont like the look at all...here is a link to the forum of cheers and geers where a memeber has scanned the article...For some reason I cant post pictures on this thread... http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=10523 The sierra is much easier on the eyes than the silverado enjoy
  2. only if she came todo my install

You can enjoy a beer all month long AND FINALLY.....The number 1 reason why a beer is better than a woman... 01. You always know when you're first to pop a beer
  4. Its almost so unreal to think someone of that "caliber" and I say that in light regard, could burn the amount of people he did in that one forum, and potentially kill a good amount of future sales. I remeber a perfect example of a similar thread here on sss.com with Quik and Bryan of PCMForLess and the professionalism and character Bryan showed throughout the onslaught from Quik about Bryan's tunning capabilities. To think a vendor, let alone John Hennessey or a person with a similar reputation endowed by the media would act out in such a way really makes people rethink who and where they are taking their vehicles to. Especially when they involve internal performance mods that some people are not that knowledgeable about, or ever think to have another mechanic take a look at the engine to assure the parts that were installed were new and indeed what you paid for. Amazing what people will do...Thanks for the a good laugh and insightful information Dylan
  5. Gas cant play a big role cause you are going from a 6.0 L engine to a 5.6 Liter engine...I truly doubt it will make the biggest dent in your wallet...given the SS and 5.6 Titan (14/18) are nearly the same in mileage... The payment can be understood, but why a titan...Why not a "classic" silverado 5.3 or 4.8 which will be less or identical in payments and be better in mileage (16/20) Sorry if the post sounds like an attack mwarren, i know youre a veteran here...but i just cant see the switch to a titan...cant see it... Either way congrats on the marriage, and hope all goes well with whatever decision you make!
  6. No, but neither is the 408. I don't think there is a test station out there that could tell the difference between a 122 and a 112, as long as it has the sticker and passes the sniffer... ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good point...
  7. Plus the odds of GM bring back the Trans Am name is very low due to a fee they had to pay for the name on each vehicle manufactured...So for a company complaining about $$$ and all the issues with Delphi, I doubt GM is willing to give away a few hundred dollars on each "Trans Am" they sell just for the name...
  8. Talk em down 5-6 K...Got mine from a different dealership about 5 months ago for 24 K which still probably wasnt the best I could have found http://www.automotive.com/2003/65/chevrole...0Pickup&index=0

    05 SSR

runs about a 5.3-5.5 from 0-60 and about low 14's in the 1/4
  10. Seems like Dylan is rubbing off on adam a little
  11. PCM relearn procedure...FOUND HERE My pcmforless install was pretty painless and you could feel the difference in shifts and the overall feel of the truck was much better from a dig...I had Bryan take all the TM off he could, raise the rev limiter, delete speed limiter, and firm up the shift points Hope that helps
  12. oh yeah, I forgot about that!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After the 5 years from when you bought it is the first smog check and then every 2 years following that year... So anyone with an '03 would have to have one in 2008 then again in '10, '12, '14 you get the idea... I guess it would be so bad throwing on the a set of cats every 2 years after '08 if you didnt have the luxury of making the truck a trailer queen
  13. Wont that pose some problems with the sniffer when you have to smog it in a few years, seeing that you live in California...
  14. KBB.COM states it should be around 27-28K...But I agree no one will be willing to pay 28K for a truck that has that many miles...You have to remeber this is a dealership selling the truck and not a private seller, so you can always expect the dealer to try and sell the truck for a higher price because some schmuck will pay that price eventually...
  15. Has AZ busted his tranny yet (ala Fuel Slut every 6 months)? I have the magazine at home and I think I remeber it saying he still has the stocker (beefed up) or it might have been on a thread here....

  17. Why is Dale Jr resorting to selling his C6 with horrible a flame scheme on EBay. He supposedly sold his Mini S on Ebay too...Doesnt make any sense at all to me...but oh well Dale Jr's signature on a C6 does not with a horrible paint job does not = the price of a new Z06 give or take a few thousand http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-C...sspagenameZWDVW
  18. This may not be the most reliable source ....but an article from Canada says Dodge may pull the plug on the worlds fastest production truck... http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/news/dr...2f-e46cfaf27cb7
  19. Rather see Pontiac bring back the Trans Am than the Firebird, but then again GM doesnt want to have to pay royalties on the name "trans am"
  20. I think you would have issues with the O2 sensors when putting a cutout before the cats which may require additional tuning to delete the sensors from the pcm...Still bypassing the muffler gives you a more free flowing exhaust. I would think the performance value would be similar to a nice cat back

  22. Hey guys, I have a question about my girlfriends car. She has a 2001 Honda Accord, 80 K miles, and it has been having one issue with her tranny. Basically when she puts the car in reverse and goes up a small incline like reversing up her driveway the car wont move and will just rev. It feels like the gear isnt engaged but if you give it enough gas say like 4-5K constant rpms it will move as if you lwere trying to drive with your parking break on. She took it to a tranny shop and they say they cant find anything wrong and now say its a "computer issue" which her father and I dont agree with. Paid the douche's 2K, they rebuilt the tranny and keep telling us were wrong and theres nothing "they can do the tranny is fine." Since if it was a comp issue then it would happen more often and not just when reversing up an driveway or small hill. Maybe Zippy or any of you transmission guys can enlighten me so I can tell the new transmission shop her dad took the car to as what to look for. Thanks, Owen
  23. Here are some other options http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21913 You can find them on ebay at a store called Dynasty Auto HERE They sell them for under $200
