  1. Bought my truck (2003) in March of 2006 as a birthday present to myself. 26K (including T,T,L) with 24,000 miles on it. Traded in the 2002 lifted ECSB Silverado for 10K with 60K on the truck.
  2. when is the LS3 supposed to come? corvette SS?? cant wait to see that. is there anywhere i can read about it or see pics of it? The LS3 will be the stock motor for the base corvette. The Z06 will be getting a supercharged version of the LS7 I believe. Here is an article starting the 2008 models will receive the new LS3 motor boasting a possible 425-450 HP http://jalopnik.com/cars/gossip/over-the-b...ette-225625.php
  3. But im not kidding...
  4. I just came back from the gym and got a good 10 min+ of staring at breasts. So if I go to the gym and oogle at womens breasts for the rest of my life I will add 8-10 years on my life...
  5. Fan of the 4th pair, especially on a black truck...
  6. Found this while surfing the net. Pretty interesting, and thought some of you gear heads would like to take a crack at it. The IQ Test is made by Honeywell and has approximately 15 questions. Turbo IQ Quiz
  7. Fortunately the paint and body work was finished in the middle of December. The suspension, frame work, drive shaft, etc is taking the most time with parts and install. So I figure if I get the truck back on Tuesday is what the body shop is telling me for sure that would be a good 2 months. Paint should be cured in ~2 months correct?
  8. So I've watched just about every episode including the one on tonight. While it is extremely disturbing to know there are sick f**** out there that actually say and do the things that are portrayed on this show. But in some way shape or form it provides a sense of enjoyment watching these people break down or try to run out of the house when Chris Hanson approaches them. Its amazing some of the people who even get caught 2 or 3 times in recurring episodes. I think the best part is when they think they can escape and run to their car/truck and the cops catch them before they are able to leave. Best quote of the show: "Come on in, I made some lemonade!" Thoughts?
  9. You cant find an 05 GTO for that with some mileage? Im sure you could find one near 19-21K unless the prices have gone up since the last time i checked
  10. They repaired it. Put it on a frame "stretcher," to put it back to specifications. I was waiting until the tires were a little lower on tread until I bought a new set. I definetly wasnt going back to the goodyears after what happened in this accident, and a few times of the truck getting squirely (sp?) in the rain...
  11. It was an on ramp to the freeway, a right hand sweeper I guess you can say. I dont exactly know why the tires didnt stick to the road, the tread is getting low on the tires, and it was late so maybe some moisture on the ground . It may have been a higher speek than 70-80 but thats what I guessing...By the time I hit the electrical box I wasnt even looking at the speedometer Not back on the road yet until Friday, which is the body shop's idea of enough time to install the differential and re-align the truck when they get it in this week. Allstate has been great to me. My first accident was with the girl in the civic, who was uninsured (thank god for uninsured motorist coverage!). I basically went over the front of her hood like I was at a monster truck rally and totalled her car and caused a little over 5 K worth of damage to the front suspension of the truck. The body shop told me their repairs are lifetime, and they keep a detailed spec report of what was replaced for 3 years incase I lose the one I receive after picking up the truck. I also know if the truck isnt right I will be taking it back to have it checked out. The suspension is what I am worried about currently. I will take her out to a some windy roads to see if everything is still handling well. I just wont be taking off ramps at high speeds.
  12. Thanks Chase, The reason I traded in my lifted 2002 Silverado was due to an accident of running over a honda who made a left turn in front of me. Truck was never the same after that...Im praying that the same thing doesnt happen to this truck...I was hoping they totaled it and I could buy a left over 2007 BTW chase where does the lock attach to? Do they put something on the inside of the tailgate to latch the lock onto?
  13. I didnt understand the one center lock either? The guy at the body shop said Gaylords had to "custom make it" which seemed weird to me given I thought they would have these in stock for the 03-07 models. I thought it would have two lock on each side too... I will take some more picture when I get it back this weekend and put a good coat of wax on her. Taking an off ramp at that high of speed probably 70-80 was one of the dumbest things ive done, even though I thought the truck could handle it. Im thankful, especially seeing that I could have possibly taking someone elses life and I didnt. Granted I didnt think the truck would have fishtailed. But I thank god that I didnt hurt someone else by being reckless. Should be a lesson to everyone.
  14. So as some of you may know I was in a pretty bad accident back on Dec 02 2006, in which i took a freeway on-ramp at too high of a speed and the truck fishtailed into an electrical box on the off ramp. The rear driver side hit the electrical box just before the rear tire well and tore out the drive shaft, destroyed the shackles and suspension, destroyed the rim and tire, the tonneau cover, the rear bumper and tailight, and a slight bend in the frame...etc Unfortunately with the accident happening at 11:25 at night I didnt have the chance to take pictures of the truck in the middle of the freeway, but needless to say im VERY suprised they didnt total out the truck. Allstate said the damage had to be 80% the value of the truck for them to total it out. So ive been without the truck for the past 2 months waiting for it to come back from the body shop. Unfortunately there was a set back when they tried aligning the truck and found there was an issue with the the rear differential. So I had to wait another 10 days until the new differential came in and they would be able to install it and get the truck re-aligned. The only good thing about the accident is I did get a new tonneau cover....The Gaylords Speedsturr...Before I had a X2000 on the truck and I like the asthetics of the Speedsturr over the X2000...So I wanted to share some picture the body shop sent me today to make sure the tonneau cover was the right one I wanted. I "should" get back the truck on Friday of this week. I will post some more pictures when I get the truck back then but here are a few of the new lid and the damage they fixed...ENJOY Is there a reason as to why it takes forever to upload a picture on this site now? I had to link these pictures from another site...It seems like before the revamping of the site it was much easier to upload pictures
  15. I think I paid $500-600 after all said and done. Depending on which TC you go with your will be looking at a total cost of close to $1200-1500 for everything
  16. Congrats and thanks for the free post. I will be checking the Alley for some posts of these gifts you say you will bring us
  17. Get a shift kit $200 from Zippy and buy a TC since theyll be doing work on the tranny anyways and it will fix your slipage immediately and give you something more reliable while driving around.
  18. I have a PCM4LESS tune, and Brian is a great guy and took the time out of his night 9pm his time to answer his cell phone and help me with the install of the PCM because i didnt read the directions carfully enough. $50 for every re-tune/re-program after the initial tune from Brian. I know frank and zippy do great work also. There has been nothing but positive results from those two also. I am looking to go the route of HPTuners after I go a little more extreme (headers, cam, and possible radix)

Its a whopping $8 here in California to purchase 91 Octane over 87, do you and your truck a favor and put the highest grade possible in the truck. If you can afford the truck, Im sure you should be able to splurge an extra $40 -$50 in higher grade gas per month
  20. My dad and mom smoke, and I never noticed the smoke until I started driving in high school and then I would ride with my dad or mom to the store. It does reek, and I cant stand to drive in a vehicle that someone smokes in. I wont ever let anyone smoke in my truck, a reason I remove the ashtray and the lighter in all my vehicles.
