  1. Ok guys, I'm finally back home in Michigan now and can get the shipping done my self. I am PM'ing anyone who requested items first, then moving down the list. My paypal is setup as well. As far as I remember, the gauge pod, thermostat, engine covers, and torque converter have been spoken for, if those parties are still interested...
  2. The other question to ask is...how many transmissions do you want to replace? The 408 with radix will build gawd awful amounts of low end torque that will shred the best built 4L65E trans. There was another guy who had a radix on a 408, and I recall him going through transmissions in sync with oil changes...well not literally, but I recall someone was having huge trans issues with that setup and might even had to go with a 4L80E, not sure if it was angrygreg or not. Too lazy to search for it. I say build a wicked forged 370 and boost the snot out of it. A well built 370 with a radix should be able to hit mid 11's. Krambo did high 11's on a cam swap and stock mill with a radix huffing air. I think unless you will quickly upgrade to the TVS superchargers, you will have headaches with that setup, trans issues aside. I had it put to me this way once - "Putting a radix MP112 on a 408 is like trying to fill your bathtub with a coffee cup..." I forget who said it to me, but it got the point across. I think it was a Magnacharger or Lingenfelter rep.
  3. When I get back, I'm down to meet up once I'm back on my feet. I'll bring the G8 and get smoked on the hole shot...
  4. Sorry to everyone with whom I have not gotten back to. I had a training accident late last week and was unavailable for a period of time. I'm waiting to get discharged and I will be headed back to Michigan in the next couple of days. The good news is I have my paypal setup, and once home, I will be able to ship everything out once funds are received. I asked for your patience, and I again ask the same. I have everyones PM's and am trying to keep track of who wants what and who spoke for what first. Thank you. I'll poke back in by Thursday as my internet access is limited.
  5. Whats wrong with the efans? You know there is an override ON switch underneath the dash right? Flipping that switch on will put the fans on full blast...
  6. I wont be able to talk to you on the phone for a couple of weeks. I am in a remote location with limited cell coverage. We have internet access, but that is pretty much it. Feel free to PM me though. The trans was done at Clarkston Trans in Clarkston, MI on Dixie Hwy. It had the valve body reworked. It has a Yank SC2600 converter. It has the beast sunshell, kevlar bands, I THINK red clutch packs, but dont recall exactly. It was rebuilt with superiors high performance rebuild kit, has 2nd and 4th servos, and a transgo HD2 shift kit. All of the info should be in my original post. Take care of her, she was a good truck. It had a couple of hiccups that is common amongst ALL Silverado SS's, but thats it. The front diff was rebuilt around 60k miles, etc. I just replaced the intercooler pump about 10k miles ago too. I would have kept the truck had I not needed something with better gas mileage. I ended up with a G8 GT.
  7. If you bought it at Randy Hosler in Clarkston, MI, it was my truck. I owned it since 15k miles. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. What deal did you strike up with them out of curiosity?
  8. Yes, it was my truck. And yes, I did trade it in to them for a G8 GT. I can't believe it is still sitting on the lot there. I traded it in back in the first week of May. I bet they would take $15,000 or $15,500 for it, but probably not much less. Search my screen name in the classifieds and you should be able to find my add with track video and more details about the truck.
  9. Adding Pictures... 2.9" pulley Accumulator Piston SLP Thermostat (not sure what engines it fits, please check part number with SLP prior to buying, thanks)
  10. Bump. Engine covers and gauge pods have pending interest right now. Sorry for taking so long to get back with everyone, I pretty much only have internet access on weekends.
  11. I have quite a few things I found cleaning out my garage and didn't get much time before relocating to post them for sale. I no longer have a silverado ss and have no use for them. I have NO IDEA what some of this stuff is worth so all prices are OBO! I am putting pricing because I must. If someone thinks I am high, or way too low, please just PM me, don't muck up the post with complaints. All prices do not include shipping. Shipping will be actual charges. I want to be up front that I will be on limited availability for the next couple of months, so if I don't get back to you during the week, please understand. If you need this stuff in a hurry, unfortunately, I may not be able to do that. I will be in New Mexico until December and the parts are located in Michigan. My father is willing to help me out for pick-up arrangements or help me ship things out, but it might take a couple of extra days for me to coordinate things with him and have him pull the items out of storage. So please be patient, that is all I ask. Thank You! Like new 6.0L engine cover, excellent condition. $90 OBO - SOLD Stock LQ9 intake manifold WITH injectors. Had about 40k miles on it when removed, functioned perfectly. $200 OBO 2 Gauge Pillar Pod - Came with the radix I bought and was never installed, I went with a 3 guage one. Good condition - $30 + shipping. Like new Intercooler from the old radix kits before they changed to the bigger one that comes in the kits now. I upgraded to the bigger one. This one would be good for a second intercooler or use it as its intention as an oil cooler. Fittings included. $125 OBO + shipping. Stock LQ9 Silverado SS Air box - as is, some hardware might be missing like bolts, nuts, all duct work is there. Picture shows what you get - $75 Yank TT2600 converter. Might need a rebuild, but it was in working order when taken out. $125 FIRM - Pick up only. I also have: Stock Silverado SS Muffler with tailpipe and connection pipes from the cats (not cats though, sorry). $100 - pickup only! TCI 2nd and 4th Billet Servos brand new in packaging - $100 for the set AC Delco accumulator piston kit for 4L65E - pic coming - make offer Billet 2.9" radix pulley - brand new - $100 - pic coming Stock torque converter - 15k miles on it - $50 - pickup only! Stock clutch fan and shroud - $75 - about 20-30k miles on it when removed - pic upon request Thats it for now, might have more as I dig.
  12. I'm sorry to see Lebron hurt a city like Cleveland. There are some great people there going through some tough economic times. However, with that being said, I'm glad he left Dan Gilbert to hang out to dry. Dan Gilbert is a real character. I won't get into mud slinging, but he is certainly the problem, not his management, not Lebron, not the coach, etc. If anyone knew how he ran his company Quicken Loans, they would understand and know what I meant. Lebron knew that he had to get out from under Gilbert's thumb/shadow to be successful. I hope this humbles Dan Gilbert, but then again, pigs might fly one day too. Here's the letter from Dan Gilbert... Narcisitic? Self-promotional? Really? Come on Dan, you are too! Pot...meet kettle! http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AjL3Ewq3BXaumKS7qcSfmV45nYcB?slug=ys-gilbertletter070810 Dan Gilbert blasted LeBron James after the two-time league MVP picked the Heat on Thursday night. (AP Photo) Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert wrote an open letter to the team’s fans after LeBron James(notes) announced his decision to leave the franchise after seven seasons. Here it is in its entirety. Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight; As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier. This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment. More LeBron James CoverageThree very different reactions to 'decision' Anguish in Cleveland Video: Fans burn LeBron jerseys Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us. The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you. There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you. You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal. You have given so much and deserve so much more. In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight: “I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE” You can take it to the bank. [Photos: See images from the ‘decision’ and the star in action] If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels. Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there. Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works. This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become. But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio. The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma. Just watch. Sleep well, Cleveland. Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day…. I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only: DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue….
  13. No. Working for the government as a federal agent.
  14. How time flies. I haven't been around here much since selling my truck a couple of months ago. So much has changed. I'm getting hitched July 10th and then moving to New Mexico the following week. I will be in an undisclosed location for a few months and then be living near Las Cruces. New wife, new job, and new life. Looking forward to it. Are there any drag strips near El Paso, TX or Las Cruces, NM? Have to get my fix in with the G8!
  15. Yeah, I'm sure the SOS will approve that one! People have to realize that our SOS monitors all plate requests and if there is ANY question that it might dirty, offensive, suggestive, etc they will deny the application. There really is no avenue for appeal either. Its the main reason why his original plate was turned down.
  16. I think in Michigan we are allowed 7 characters. BTTLFED ? http://services.sos.state.mi.us/plates/papstep2.asp?plateType=STANDARD&plateID=Peninsulas&hndCap=false&t1=b&t2=t&t3=t&t4=l&t5=f&t6=e&t7=d&pcPlt=PPI;bttlfed&manPlate=bttlfed&vtype=&ptrn=AAAAAAA 690NN20 ? Available... I always liked the one on the Z06 I saw at the dream cruise, so it is already taken... ULVFRST or something like that. Well, ULVFRST is available... ULEV1ST is also available. The guy must not have renewed it or I dont have the plate right... Here is the link to the SOS for Michigan that you can put in a plate to see if its taken or not. http://services.sos.state.mi.us/plates/papstep2.asp?plateType=STANDARD&plateID=Peninsulas&hndCap=false&t1=6&t2=9&t3=o&t4=n&t5=n&t6=2&t7=0&pcPlt=PPI;690nn20&manPlate=690nn20&vtype=&ptrn=999AA99 http://services.sos.state.mi.us/plates/papstep2.asp?plateTYPE=STANDARD&plateID=Peninsulas http://services.sos.state.mi.us/plates/papstep2.asp?plateType=STANDARD&plateID=Peninsulas&hndCap=false&t1=u&t2=l&t3=v&t4=f&t5=r&t6=s&t7=t&pcPlt=PPI;ulvfrst&manPlate=ulvfrst&vtype=&ptrn=AAAAAAA GONEN69 - available... http://services.sos.state.mi.us/plates/papstep2.asp?plateType=STANDARD&plateID=Peninsulas&hndCap=false&t1=g&t2=o&t3=n&t4=e&t5=n&t6=6&t7=9&pcPlt=PPI;g0nen69&manPlate=g0nen69&vtype=&ptrn=A9AAA99
  17. Do you have his address? I might be able to get a last name with his old address. Let me know. Also, I have sprint, but don't know anyone who works there.
  18. I've been gone quite a while myelf, but wasn't he moving to KC from South Dakota? Did he ever move? I havent talked to him since around the time he opted to leave the site. I know that when some people go through personal trouble, especially some financial trouble, they tend to become withdrawn from others, even good friends, because of their perceived embarassment of their situation. Even though most friends wouldn't judge someone for financial hard times or the like, they still shy away from contact. And like you said, getting worried, because not often, but sometimes this withdrawl from social settings can cause even more issues and make them feel even worse. Hopefully, its not the case and he is working hard somewhere taking care of his family and just hasnt had time to say hi.
  19. I think it is one of the most innovative trucks ever produced. Sure, its no Lightning or Syclone, but it does what it was designed to do well. There are no corners cut or cheap components on it. It has FOX racing shocks on it, some of the best shocks ever made. You can't take a truck off the lot and slap an off-road lift kit on it and come close to the Raptor. Yes, the original release engine is a joke, but the larger engine will be sufficient for its purposes. I would roll in one as a DD if it was affordable. Its pretty much the first turn key off-roader ever truly built and available from the factory. I cant find the article right now, but I read somewhere that if you were to take a regular 4x4 F150 off the lot and try to build it to be comparable to the Raptor (suspension and off-road capability wise), you would spend more than the Raptor cost, about 15-20% more. Maybe the article was wrong, who knows. Havent seen GM trying anything like this lately have we? Last special edition truck worth anything from GM was the Silverado SS and there is nothing in the pipeline that is remotely special.
  20. If its not a DD, then I do say go for the V. It is classier than the vette. P.S. The G6 is basically a chevy malibu based vehicle with FWD. The G8 is RWD only and a larger sedan.
  21. Oh yeah...And GM, those buttheads...make a supercharged version of the G8 GT factory in England. Its called the Vauxhal VXR8(really a Holden car made in Australia and imported to the US and Europe). If I ever get the money, I will be getting the VXR body and modifying mine to that look. The kits are available. VXR8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY6imlJ82VE&feature=related OR...you could just go twin turbos with the G8 GT...All stock except exhaust and twins...
  22. Well, it seems there are many who are growing just slightly tired of the Silverado SS. I took the plunge myself. It came down to the CTS V and the G8 GT for me. I test drove both and had deals working up on both. The V is a great car. Buddy has a silver 04 and drives it year round. He has 100k on it and has been through two rear ends, one under warranty and one not. It is stock. GM put the LS2 in the V starting in 2006 model year. GM also updated the rear ends in 2006 to somewhat rectify the rear end issues. The rear end binds during severe wheel hop in high torque scenarios, causing it to fail, typically during a launch. There are fixes for it now. An after market company sells an axle kit modified to eliminate the wheel hop for around $600. Well worth it in my opinion and from what I have read, it works. However, I had a hard time spending $20+k on 50-60k mile vehicles with no warranties. So I went with the G8 GT. And yes, I love it. I would highly recommend test driving the G8 GT if you can find one. I picked up my 09 with under 40k miles for $21k. No rear end issues, they have the fairly robust 6L80E 6spd auto, no rear end issues, etc. Only downside is there is no manual option unless you go with the GXP version which had a manual option. Personally,if you still need a manual, I would still try to find a GXP because they are newer, would have a warranty, they have the 6.2L instead of 6.0L, they are faster than the CTS V from the factory, and super rare/unique. I wish I could have afforded a GXP, but at $30k+ used, it was out of the budget. However, the GT is a 13.5ish car completely stock. With a handheld superchips tune, CAI, and axle mufflers, 13.0-13.1 is typical. With headers, high 12's. Add a cam, heads or FI and elevens are easily within reach and I dont expect to have the frustrations of popping everything (trans, diff, etc). The ride is superior to the silverado, obviously, passenger car vs truck. I practically cried when giving up the SS, but having the G8 GT for 2 weeks now has alleviated all concerns. I have no regrets. Just take your time and test drive a couple of them and then make your decision. If you want to meet up sometime to go for a ride in the GT, let me know. It took me over a month to find a G8 GT with a reasonable price tag.
  23. Well, I'm sitting in the Philly Airport on my way back home and I have to say... I will never ever visit Atlantic City again unless business necessitates it. AC is an overpriced dump, pure and simple. I hope I don't offend anyone with that, but those are my feelings. I'm sure part of it is that everything is fairly old. Bally's was a renovated dump, the rooms were not that clean, stayed at $50 motels that were better. Service was rude and lousy (to everyone, many had complaints about customer service for even simple questions), and we were a paying convention for gods sake. Food was WAY over priced for what it was. We opted to not go to Stiches suggested place because of the liquor issue and we were entertaining clients. We had dinner at Arturo's Italian and it wasn't much better than chain italian restaurants at double the price. Granted, I know its a tourist hot spot, but honestly, not worth the money. We also ate at Phillips Seafood at the pier shops, better oveall. I felt like I was at Cedar Point (only midwesterners will understand that one) when I was paying $3 per bottle of 20oz water. And liquor in a casino should not be highway robbery. $8-9 for a rum and coke? Finally found a little plave that had a 24hr happy hour with $3 wells and shots and $2 drafts. The only clean places were the casino cloors. I'm really disappointed. The Bally's in Vegas is a thousand times nicer. The nightlife...what night life? Everything along the boardwalk within a 1.5 mile radius was absolutely dead after 11pm. Again, I realize it was Sunday and Monday, but in Vegas, there is always something going on somewhere. And the crowd...yes, you should have a walker or cane. I have never seen so many old people. The average crowd age is probably 50+. Oh well. It wasn't on my dime, so it is no money lost to me. I won't even talk about the convention, it was a bust as well. I look forward to the Las Vegas Convention in a few weeks.
