  1. Yeah, it's definitely coming along! The bed portion is almost finished, I just need to get the new wheel wells in. And actually reclining isn't that bad, as long as you pull the seat all the way forward. DOH!
  2. Thanks everyone! And actually it's getting my Cobalts 4 banger!!!
  3. Well, the interior is done and here are some pics. Also the back half is wrapping up... I would also like to thank all of you guys for your great compliments and your support! This community is great and I thoroughly enjoy knowing each and everyone of you!
  4. Haha, awesome, well as soon I progress further, all of you will be the first to know and see!
  5. Thanks again guys, I appreciate your compliments! The driveline is a fully built 408 superchargered motor with meth and nitrous. Backed by a built 4L80-E and a custom 10 inch rear, full spool, 35 spline axles, with quick change gears.
  6. Yeah, I can't wait either, it should be nice.
  7. Thanks guys! I am looking to do low 11's, but I really want to get it into the 10's.
  8. The roll cage is done and painted, continuing work on the tub.
  9. Thanks zippy! I can't wait to finish the cage and see the out come. I chose not to go with racing seats, but the factory leather ones, it will however incorporate a custom 5 point racing harness attached to the cage. I know, too bad they didn't have the 2300 released two years ago!
  10. I don't know what I want to do with the 4-link black! And thanks LeftCoast!
  11. Actually, that's a great idea black! I hadn't planned anything as of yet with that, I might just do it!
  12. To answer your question Chase and black00chev, the rear seat has not been in there for over a year and there were no plans of putting it back in. It will get powder coated first, and then welded to the frame, those are just tack welds at the moment. The power plant that it will be running is my current setup, a 408 stroker with a roots blower. It made 602 RWHP with a two piece driveshaft, however, it will now be replaced by a one piece driveshaft. I am hoping to see slight gains from the less rotational mass of the new one piece. Also new to the motor is nitrous, but only a maximum 100 shot, which is mainly going to be used to cool the intake charge. After all said and done, it will be certified for as low as 8.50. It is an 8 point roll cage, with NON removable door bars. And yes, two rear bars will be coming down to the frame, however, since it is an extended cab, I have enough room not to have to run it out of the back window, it will go underneath the window so that it will be hidden, and look somewhat of a sleeper. Although obviously if you were to look from the back and see the quick change and slicks, or from the side and see the 4-link, it would be a dead give away. I just like the clean look of having a square cab and a square bed, with no bars coming out of the window on an angle.
  13. Thanks black00chev, haha, I wish I had your help, maybe it would go faster!
  14. I can't wait either! I haven't driven the truck in a year! I am dying here. And the cage is going to be powder coated black too.
  15. Thanks for all of the compliments, and you're telling me about some serious $ and time!
  16. These look great, I must commend you on them! Personally, I like the color, I like how the bars match your differential cover. I think it goes well. And that candy apple red, wow!
  17. Whoops, just saw your posts packh and zippy, sorry! Haha, the motor looks great! And yes sir, that is a quick change rear end!
  18. I am going to try and get some of the tube frame done this week, I will add more pictures as I progress! And thanks for all the compliments!
  19. Thanks guys, I just can't wait to finish it! It's been over a year in the making.
  20. Here is a little teaser I thought you guys might like... And my favorite...
  21. Ah, thank you for the extra info Riviera! My issue right now is pushing too much power for my suspension/tire setup. And now it's going to be worse with the bottle hooked up. I've been looking into a 4 Link along with back halving it to a full tub. I don't know what to do quite exactly. I am hoping the current suspension upgrades along with those meats will do the trick, but I am having doubts.
