Vid: Magnusson 122 On 6.0l
Professiona1 m0d replied to misterp's topic in Forced Induction and Nitrous
Thanks man, and I am running 9.75:1 CR. Yeah, I couldn't believe either it made 602 to the wheels. I was thrilled, come to think of it, I still am! -

Moregrip, I can't wait until you finish your setup! I have been following it closely, and I hope you are right in my power range, because if you make more, I messed up somewhere! -

Thank you for the compliments, and yes, traction problems, big time. It also doesn't help that I clock in just under 6000 lbs being that I am extended cab/long bed. However, this winter I will be re-doing the rear end. I think I need to step down from a 4.10 to something smaller considering that my truck is only 2wd. -

Yeah, I don't know about 13 PSI of boost. I have a very similar setup, you can see my mods in my signature off of my site, yet, I am only making 7 PSI with smallest pulley possible on my 122. And this pulley was verified by Magna Charger to be the smallest, I am already overspinning it and risk damaging it if I went smaller (it's 2.75"). Also, I am making more power than this motor (which I would expect it to be very close considering mine is only slightly larger at 408 CID). My wheel numbers are in my signature, and on the engine dyno my motor made 803 HP with 957 TQ. So unless those are really small heads, then I can see them making 13 PSI of boost and those lower numbers. Just my two cents, not bashing it or anything, it's still very nice, and that is based off of the LS2, mine is off of good 'ole iron thighs. -
May I suggest Rancho RS9000XL shocks? Fully adjustable, very heavy duty (mine are like 3 inches wide). That is what I use in the rear, for a very stiff ride, but with better traction (keep in mind though, they are adjustable, so you don't have to set them as stiff as I have). While in the fronts I do use the Bilstein 'Heavy-Duty' shocks.

Nelson Harnes Causing Problems?
Professiona1 m0d replied to Bowtie70SS's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
Hmm, I've never had a problem with my harness, although I can vouch for the drop in voltage when they come on. But that would be expected because of how much amps the fans typically draw. One weird thing I did have, was one fan would run in both low speed, and high speed once it reached the temperature I set it. While the other would only run in low speed and never high. I fixed this by running them both off of the one line that worked in both low speed and high. Never had any problems after that, not even with both fans (around 30 amps) going through the one fan harness connector. -
You're welcome for the burn out! Actually...Those are fun, I want to do more for the camera! I am too excited about the track, I just want the weather to cooperate, these last few weeks have been hot, mostly in the 90s and humid.

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback, greatly appreciate it! And you guys got it, I will certainly drag someone with me when I finally make it out to the track to shoot some video (the wife comes to mind...Um...Maybe not her on second thought). And that would be sick as hell if the gauge could fit in there somehow (with little modification I mean).

Yup, KJT13 said it!

Thank you very much! It has BBS RW Bright Silver 20" Rims with BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 305/50 VR20 Tires

Haha, that it is!

Project-Truck.NET: Pictures/Videos Finally got around to shooting the new MP122HH installed (been installed and running since March). Also take a look at the new Wilwood brakes all the way around, just did those two weeks ago.

Radix owners please help!
Professiona1 m0d replied to santomen's topic in Forced Induction and Nitrous
Wideband is essential for tuning. I have an AEM wideband UEGO installed in my truck, but then again, I do all of my own tuning. It's good to know what your AFR is at and even being able to monitor it, however, if you have the proper size injectors, and a good tune for WOT AFR, wideband really is not needed. That is, unless you plan on retuning, revising, and tweaking the PCM yourself or adding supporting mods in the future. The enduser person who really benefits from monitoring wideband is the ricer. The people who slap a turbo on their Civic and do not do any fuel upgrades, mods, or tune, and then like to crank up the boost (or change the boost level often). Obviously that may be exaggerated some. But on a blower application where the only way to add more boost is from a smaller pulley or equivalent, as long as you aren't changing the boost and had it properly tuned for that boost level, you are square. Bottom line is, unless you do all of your own tuning, you may not necessarily need wideband, but that is the choice of the person. -

Blew up my motor exactly this way. I am afraid that if you continue down this path, so will yours. Here's what I would do: 1) Swap back on the 3.3" pulley for now 2) Buy some 60lb injectors 3) Install those 60lb injectors 4) Swap back on the 2.9" pulley 5) Tune for 11.0-11.5:1 AFR, that is very safe, and if you plan on keeping your motor, this will ensure that you will have it for a long time. Forced induction motors should never have anything in the 12:1 AFR range, let alone into the 13s. This is just my two cents. Good luck! -
new Radix dyno numbers!
Professiona1 m0d replied to santomen's topic in Forced Induction and Nitrous
Injectors ASAP!!! Mine blew up because the injectors were overworked, coincidently, I had ordered new larger injectors, and they finally came in from being backordered the next day! Congratulations on those numbers too! I hope you're happy, however, it's addicting to always want more! -

4626 for the blower, tub, and manifold. They were asking 6500 something for the complete kit (injectors, tune, rails, etc...). -
So while I had the whole motor out and the blower off. I got to thinking, wouldn't it be nice to have that new MP122HH blower for my new 408? Also not only would it be nice, it would be wise, since that blower is designed for larger cube motors. So I placed my order yesterday.... To say the least, I can't wait for this thing to come in. Other than that, the 408 is done, just waiting on the blower before I fire it up.

Awesome, good to know!

Check www.superchargersonline.com. That is where I got mine and NO ONE could match the price.

I have my vanity plates on order. They are Illinois plates that read: 4 OH ATE

If you already have the 5.3L heads, then I would just use those, no sense spending extra money when you can get comparable performance if not the same out of them. And buying some P&P Edlebrock heads would just be flat out wasting your money. My .02
