Compared to the other sport trucks (Ram Srt-10 and Lightning) the SS is the slowest stock vs. stock, but once you get down to the mods the awd makes it a competitor.
ARH would be my only choice. 100% American made and products, do not have to worry about Chinease metal, and their may be more in the future to to offer from them. Their is a place in MA that has a dyno long enough for our trucks, however we would need a group of us to get Don to the dyno as the place that houses the dyno is a foreign car (mostly bmw) mod shop. Ive also been talking to Don about things I need done to the truck.
I'm not trying to bust your balls, but pretty much all Stainless steel is made in China. I'm in the manufacturing business, 80% of what we make is stainless (oil and gas industry). The raw material comes for china.

So how bout it? Been to the track?

I noticed my remark was ignored

He found average horsepower. His truck is putting down more than 163hp..... Been 8 years since I had college physics, but I think you need to do some calculus and know the exact weight, gear ratio, tire size, and time of acceleration for a real damn accurate rwhp number.

Aight when I get home I will post a log. My stock injectors are running a 78% IIRC. I have headers, CAI, stock exhaust with e cutouts.
-
Would someone mind looking at my tune? Something seems a miss here.
-
Where should my injector duty cycle be (ballpark) with CAI and headers? Mine are running at 78% right now does this sound correct? About to swap in a 224/230 cam, trying to gage where my injectors will be then.
-
Just save the taxpayers some money and shoot that ****.
-
Load your truck down with 1000 pounds in the bed. You will take him no doubt.
-
Can someone post a screen shot of their fan parameters and AC parameters. I just installed efans and want to make sure I have them properly enabled.
Thanks,
Waid

Can you post some pictures?

O.o any dyno charts on that?
I posted the article above, I had the wrong brand of headers listed though. Been a while since I read the article and had it in my mind that it was ARH. Anyway 408 flywheel horsepower is awesome for only bolting on a set of headers and retuning. Heck the engine picked up 20+ hp without tuning.
-
Dynatech longtubes added 50hp at the flywheel with tuning, on a brand new stock LQ9.
Edited: incorrect brand of headers.
Here is the article

well if I go this far with the engine I might as well pull the engine and do the bottom end so I will be able to change bore and run these heads and intake, sooo would this be a good set up with me still wanting to run my whipple supercharger...if so that is the way I am going, thanks again guys
I believe the LS7 has 4.125 bores, don't think you can overbore a stock 6.0 block that much.
-
I think you need a nice set of heads!
I think I need all of it. LOL
-
Dude, I would just spend the 1300 on a set of American Racing Headers.
-
If the trans is still available in a couple weeks I may snatch it up. Gotta think on it some.

And the trans works perfectly?
-
Do you still need a trans core?
-
-
No towing? Higher stall and mildly built trans(servo, shift kit) give you a great seat of the pants performance jump.
-
LPE GT2-3 with LS6 springs, and push rods. LPE sells it as a kit. But honestly, you need a set of headers. I think headers and a retune will really surprise you.
-
Honestly, I would do headers before a cam. Headers and a retune will give you good results man.
